H I S T O R Y
Belmond Cap Juluca’s pristine white sand beach and azure crystal clear waters is as glorious as it was thousands of years ago when the island of Anguilla was inhabited by a peaceful tribe called the Arawaks.
The Arawaks were skilled fishermen and farmers, spiritual and intrinsically connected with nature.
Today, much of what is known about them comes from the petroglyphs and archeological remains discovered in two ceremonial cave sites on the island.
Belmond Cap Juluca was named after the rainbow god of the Arawaks, undoubtedly its soul, presence and magnificence can still be felt in every aspect of the resort.
