Thank you for inviting Pod Living to submit a proposal for your requirements. At Pod Living, we are passionate about designing and constructing only the highest quality buildings. We believe that Eco-friendly buildings can be as well designed and stylish as traditional builds. Our timber frame buildings and Eco Pods are built to last and have the same lifespan as any brick build for a fraction of the cost.

With the rise of micro living, the growing need for environmentally conscious buildings and a looming housing crisis, we offer a truly unique alternative which incorporates innovative design with an ethical and social conscious.

We are regularly achieving A and A+ EPC ratings and use FSC timber and recycled materials wherever possible.

Working In partnership with Eco Schools and AFL one of the Europe’s leading architects, we bring a wealth of experience from within the industry. Our extensive list of services include everything from the supply of timber frames kits though to full turnkey services from initial design to handing over keys for a fully finished and furnished building.

From our factory in Fulwood we cover the whole of the U.K and Ireland, catering for the leisure market, the education sector, the domestic and commercial markets, and much more.

At Pod Living we understand that businesses needs to take more responsibility for our planet and society, and have established a company whose main aim is to put back and re-invest in our surroundings. We achieve this by using only the most Eco-friendly materials, donate a portion of our profits to children’s charities, and aid with a number of educational and community projects.

Innovative design

Mixing architectural detailing with natural curves and symmetry gives our buildings a unique appearance. With bespoke design we are able to use materials sympathetic to the local surroundings.

Sustainability

Our buildings are made from over 90% recycled or FSC approved materials, and are over 95% recyclable at the end of their usage. Our materials range from recycled plastic foundations to wood fibre insulation.

Energy Efficiency

Over 90% of our buildings achieve A to A+ EPC and Minus Zero Carbon ratings.

Liveability

Art Contribution

We are able to install feature walls of any given image into the interiors of

the buildings.

Routed Exterior Panels

Any design can be routed into the exterior panels.

Infrared Heating Panels

The energy efficient infrared heating panels can be displayed as pictures with any image being able to be printed onto the face of the panel.

Materials & Detailing

We are able to offer a range of natural wood cladding to find the most appropriate for the setting. Exterior Doors & Windows

The use of aluminium framed doors and windows can be provided in any RAL colour to match the main development. Fascias

We are able to provide fascias in any RAL colour, and also have an option for them to change colour to tie in with the

surroundings. Bespoke designs are available.

Flooring

Real wood flooring is fitted as standard giving the building a natural and

spacious feel which has been proven to lower heartbeat rates.

Wall Finishes

A range of designer panels and wall art is available giving our buildings a high end feel.

INTERIOR LAYOUT EXAMPLES

Having looked into you requirements for the school we would propose

the following layout example.

The layouts include: •3 Bedrooms

•A Bathrom

•A Living/Dining Area

Please note that the furniture, fixtures and décor shown are generated by the software used, and are not representative of the materials and products used by Pod Living Ltd. The examples are given to

provide an impression of overall size and functionality.

At this stage the layouts give are just examples to give an overall idea of size and space. The layouts given show a square building as this would be how the interior would look, and curves or shapes can be added to the exterior of the building. Should we progress further with yourselves we can work closely with you to design optimal layouts and decors to suit your required functionality and style.

Example B = 75m2

WALLS:

For the walls we can either have a plastered finish or a mix of white and coloured paneling. A good ef-fect would be either strips of colour, or choosing whole walls for colour. On all these options we can route in logos so if you wanted your logos inside the building they can be cut into the panels.

We are currently using a new prod-uct call ClickWall which gives a seamless finish if we were to put coloured strips in. They also do a product which can be painted any colour if you do not like any colours or patterns in the range.

FLOORING:

As the building will be used extensively a commercial grade flooring will be needed.

Normally we install engineered oak wood flooring as standard. Oak is a mid-range colour so will make the space feel bigger, and will not show up dirt or damage like light or dark colours. Real wood flooring will also give a high end feel to the buildings. We are however able to install carpet, laminate or vinyl should you wish.

EXTERIOR DESIGN OPTIONS

CURVED FASCIAS:

The capping on the front and rear curves of the building can be done in any colour or pattern. Please see images below for a few examples:

CLADDING

We offer a range of timber cladding for the exteriors of the pods. As standard we fit Cedar cladding which has a nice reddish colour however it will need treating every 3 to 5 years to stop it turning a silver colour. Should you not wish to undertake this work we are also able to supply Larch or Thermowood.

We are also able to offer architectural panelling which is available in any colour. This could look particularly effective on the flat elevations of the building with timber cladding over the curves. Again this can be done in any pattern, and would offer a very vivid appearance. Please see below for an example of these panels.

EXTERIOR SHAPE EXAMPLES

We are happy to work with you to create a new design which given the space available, and the size of the building would probably be the best option. We have some ideas regarding this already and should we progress further will work with you and our architects to draw these up. Alternatively we can supply a building with one of the following designs. All these shapes can be produced to fit the layout examples given.

DESIGN 1

Our original shape has doors and windows to the shorter front and rear elevations. This design maximises the use of wood cladding and offers a real focal point.

DESIGN 2

This design benefits from light from 3 elevations, and the main doors can be positioned on any side. This pavilion style offers a more traditional shape whilst keeping the cutting edge curved design associated with our buildings.

DESIGN 3

This is like the first design shown however the windows and doors have been positioned on the longer elevations whilst retaining our original shape.

DESIGN 4

Welcome to Pod2

Pod Squared is a new range available that swaps our curves for a more traditional shaped building with a funky twist.

The straight walls are complimented with angles that are synonymous with modern urban development.
