This document provides detailed information for 24online version X3510. Following sections describe the release in detail including complete details of enhancements and issues solved with the current version.

Features

1. Effective reporting made easier with 24online Reports Tool

Reports in any format are a quick and efficient manner to understand any huge amount of data. 24online assists you to provide just-in-time accurate and reliable information. Export important reports via graphs, PDF, CSV, Excel, HTML printable format. Interpretation of huge volumes of data just got simpler and more-interactive. Reports configuration option allows admin to synchronize old reports of 24online with the new reports tool where all the data can be viewed in the new formats supported.

2. Customize Ancillary services

24online introduces provision of ancillary services at time of user registration. Customize ancillary services according to your user needs. Admin has the flexibility to provide only the required ancillary services when user is being registered. 24online also facilitates provision of Optional/mandatory ancillary services. ‘Optional’ assists in providing discounts/option to alter ancillary services according to requirement. ‘Mandatory’ assists in adding ancillary charges during every-billing cycle.

3. 24online offers IDS integration via TCP-IP platform

24online offers services for IDS via TCP-IP communication platform for its HIA series. Offering end-to-end connectivity, TCP-IP is a reliable and efficient platform for communication. 24online extends its offerings with Guest sharing, Guest details change, Guest room change functionalities. Synchronization of database operations and unique posting is also included.

24online offers services for Dual Authentication with multiple authentications through third party database like LDAP, ADS or any third-party radius server in the network. Dual Authentication Solution is mainly proposed to simplify universities services for zones and hotspots. Realm-based mapping will be done with external database i.e. 24online will distinguish between multiple databases with “username@nameofexternaldatabase”. Admin is also free to allocate packages based on realms, create single package across multiple realms and configure ACL rights for multiple realms.

Enhancements

Number of packages displayed on Manage Package page

Description: 24online has enhanced its Package Management by displaying number of packages created in the system on ‘Manage Package’ page. The number of packages created will be visible according to the type of ACL defined for different roles like administrator, zone manager, POP manager etc.

Surfing based policy allows inclusion upto 4 digit for allotted time

Description: 24online has enhanced its Policy Management by allowing inclusion of upto entry of 4 digits for allotted time in surfing based policy.

Validation for entry of only integer value for FAP policy

Description: 24online has enhanced its FAP Policy by allowing admin to enter only integer value in Data transfer limit in ‘Create FAP policy’ page.

Routes Audit log entry in 24online console

Description: 24online has enhanced its telnet console and now provides audit log details for 24online Management services. Add/update/delete of route entry is reflected in the telnet console.

Cache QoS enhancement

Description: 24online has enhanced Cache QoS services with additional features to support at the same time save the bandwidth by offering Cached-Policy facility. The cached policy can be added to each user’s package by which the user will be able to avail specific amount cached bandwidth. Each package can be created with specific amount of quota defined for non-cached bandwidth and cached data bandwidth. With the help of this facility service providers can save their bandwidth, and users can enjoy high speed internet experience. From reports tool you can export Cache QoS reports. Reports can be availed in user-wise, zone-wise and POP-wise.

Enhanced High Availability

Description: 24online offers an improvised version of high availability with real-time synchronization amongst primary and auxiliary databases, enhanced database processes which assists in reduced to nil data-loss.

Improvised Audit Log

Description: 24online offers to help track changes or entries in DoS settings and DHCP management. All entry related changes can be tracked and details can be procured via 24online Audit logs.

Description: 24online HIA has been enhanced with inclusion of details in splasher page. Checked-in guest details on splasher page will display details of guest name and room number.

Database Synchronization

Description: 24online HIA enhances its database synchronization services for administrators. ‘DbSync’ button can now only be clicked once by admin, after which the button is disabled till the time the operations are not completed. The button is enabled again after successful completion of the previous operation.

24online-Mikrotik enhancements

Description: 24online-Mikrotik compatibility is enhanced for bandwidth policies. Admin can now configure burst time and burst threshold for individual download and upload. Schedule-wise bandwidth can also be provided to Mikrotik users which mean bandwidth will be applicable to user according to the pre-configured schedule.

Advanced functionality included in Registration with PIN

Description: 24online Client login page includes advanced functionalities for Registration with PIN. Option is provided in Client Services Parameters where-in admin can configure the option to Hide/Enable the PIN type. If enabled user has to enter the PIN type (Normal/Value-based) in the text-field provided. A check-box is also provided by which ‘Terms and Conditions‘page can be enabled/disabled. If Alert management has SMS alert ON for User registration then mobile number is mandatory in the registration with PIN form also.
