WELCOME
If you are new to St. Anthony of Padua Parish, please know how welcome you are to worship God with us. The motto of our parish is written in Latin over the front entrance: “The hardworking people of St. Anthony have built this temple to the Lord.” We know that we have been blessed with one of the most beautiful Churches most people have ever seen and that the Lord demands more of those who have been given more. Our goal is to allow the Lord to build with us a parish community of “living stones” even more beautiful than the physical edifice in which we have the awesome privilege to worship Him. We would love you to become part of that building project!
SACRAMENT OF BAPTISM
Are normally celebrated on the second Sunday of the month after the 10:30 Mass. Parents are encouraged to call the rectory to make an appointment.
SACRAMENT OF MARRIAGE
Engaged couples are asked to contact Fr. Cortez at least eight months in advance and before they book a reception hall.
ANOINTING OF THE SICK
Please notify us if someone is in danger of death due to serious illness or old age, to arrange a time for the priest to visit and confer the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick.
HOLY COMMUNION FOR THE HOMEBOUND Parishioners who are unable to attend Mass, and would like to receive Holy Communion, please call the rectory to arrangements.

PASTOR’S MESSAGE
Christ is Risen, He is Risen Indeed!
Dear brothers and Sisters, Saint Paul says in the letter to the Corinthians that if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain. Easter brings us to the celebration of the Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus. Many false ‘messiahs’ appear in the world claiming to be the saviors of the it, but none of them died and resurrected, only Jesus. The Resurrection of Jesus is a historical fact not only attested by the Gospel, but also by non-Christian historians and documents from the very first centuries of Christianity. The resurrection of Jesus gives us the assurance that we will also resurrect at the end of time, this was his promise to all those who believe in him. But we must ask ourselves if we are convinced of this truth, if we live with that perspective in mind, if we are desirous of this future resurrection. The way we live our Christianity can manifest if want to resurrect to eternal life. When we take care to lead a sacramental life, that is, making sure to receive the sacraments and the grace they impart, we show that we want that resurrection. When we conform our thoughts and actions to the mind of Jesus, we show that we are living resurrected lives already. As we celebrate Easter, let us ask for the grace to always be found in the grace of God so that at the end of our lives we will obtain the blessed resurrection. God Bless You

¡Cristo resucito, El resucito en Verdad!
Querido hermanos,
En su carta a los Corintios, San Pablo les dice a los seguidores de Jesús, que si Cristo no hubiera resucitado, entonces nuestra predicación es vana, y nuestra fe es vana también. La Resurrección de Cristo es el milagro más grande de nuestra fe. Muchos falsos profetas vinieron al mundo diciendo que eran los salvadores del mundo, pero ninguno de ellos murió y resucito como Jesús lo hizo. La Resurrección de Jesús es un hecho histórico atestiguado no solo por los Evangelios sino también por antiguos historiadores paganos. El crecimiento y expansión de la religión cristiana da testimonio del convencimiento de los primeros misioneros de que la resurrección de Cristo que predicaban era verdadera. La Resurrección de Cristo nos la seguridad de que al final de nuestros días también resucitaremos, esa fue su promesa a todos aquellos que creen en El. Por eso debemos preguntarnos si estamos plenamente convencidos de esta verdad, si vivimos con esta perspectiva en nuestra mente, si estamos deseosos de esta futura resurrección. La forma en que vivimos nuestras vidas indicarnos esto fácilmente. Cuando nos preocupamos de vivir una vida sacramental, es decir, nos aseguramos de recibir los sacramentos asiduamente con la gracia que ellos imparten, mostramos que estamos viviendo ya vidas resucitadas. Al celebrar la Pascua, pidamos la gracia de siempre gozar de la gracia de Dios pera que al final de nuestros días podamos obtener la gloriosa resurrección.
