Systems Synthesis Project

The 14 week Systems Synthesis Project takes students beyond theory and into the practical application of skills through the opportunity to work with public and private companies, government agencies on real-world projects.

The goal of these projects is to provide students with the skills necessary for structuring, managing, and carrying out projects within an organisation and the opportunity to consolidate and apply the skills and knowledge they have developed in previous coursework in a team-based approach to a real problem.

Independent Study

Independent study allows students to undertake an elective course through one-on-one interaction with a professor rather than in a class format and counts for up to 12 units towards the degree. Independent study gives students the flexibility to direct their own coursework and align this coursework with their interests, career and research goals.
