8. In his early days, he will have all comforts. In the middle period it will get reduced. Will have troubles. He will lose some of his land holdings. Towards the end of his life he will get many comforts. The Rishi addresses Parvati as the one who protects the persons doing penance and continues to say more and asks her to listen.

11. Will live as a rich man among his relations. Will earn lot of Gold and gems. Will be a famous person. Will also donate food to those in need. (The King also will give him presents.) Will do many kinds of business. We have already stated about his capability of maintaining accounts.

12. Will get income from other countries. Will have many servants. He will be working under a King for some time. Will protect his close relations and siblings. Others will be interested in following his ways. In his old age he will be very fortunate. He will increase the ancestral property.

Discussion about the wife/ves of the native
18. After hearing this Jayamuni said,” To this native you stated that the wife will be long lived. Tell me the reason.” Rishi replied that the 7th lord Venus is in the 3rd
house without any blemish and as that is the place of conquer, we said that the native will have only one wife.

20. (continuation) the 2nd house as well as the 4th house of comfort is aspected by Jupiter
placed in the 8th and the placement of Venus in the house of Mercury, the statement
that there will be two wives is not correct – says Kausika rishi. Since Sun and Mercury are in the 2nd house, to tell it correctly, there will be only one wife but there
will be two mangalya (marriage badge).
Note: Mangalyam indicates in Tamil as also Indian culture a badge made of gold which is put on the neck of the girl by the boy at the time of marriage. In olden days, marriages were performed even before the girl attains puberty. So, in this verse, the rishi may be stating that the boy might have married a girl and she would have died even before she had attained puberty. Further clarifications follow in the next verse. 8th house is the Mangalya
sthana Its lord is placed in an auspicious 3rd house along with the 7th lord which may bring
about two wives, probably by death of one. But since the 2nd house of family tenanted by
the 4th lord of comfort Sun and the not so auspicious 3rd lord Mercury are aspected by the
9th lord Jupiter, there cannot be two wives. Since the Mangalya sthana lord is afflicted, it
may lead to two mangalyas.
21. மொதுவும் ஒன்றுஎன்றீர் மங்கிலியம் இரண்டுஎன்றீர் ஓதுவீ ரந்ெசங்ணக உணரக்கிலறொம் லகளுமம்மொ தீெொகு முெல்மொங்கல்யம் லசொரர்ணக புக்கபின்பு லமதினில் லவறுமுத்திணர வித்ெக னணைவொனொலம.
21. You said that there will be one wife but two mangalyams. Kindly clarify this point? Parvati asked. Rishi said, “I will tell you, listen mother! The first Mangalya will create damage. Because she will go behind her paramour. Thereafter, the native will marry another girl.
22. எந்ெக் கொேத்திலேெொன் இக்குற்றம் லநரும்பசொல்வொய் சந்ெெ முப் ொனொலில் சொமந்ென் திணசயிலேெொன் முந்திய சிகிப ொசிப்பில் பமய்திடு மந்ெச்சங்ணக
கந்ெணனப் ப ற்றமொலெ கழறி(லனொ)னம் பமொழி குன்றொது(லெ).
22. At which time such an incident will happen kindly tell asked Parvati and the Rishi said that it will happen in his thirtieth year when he will be running Mercury dasa.
At the beginning of this dasa when Ketu bukthi is running he will get the doubt about the conduct of his wife. Begetter of Lord Kanda(Subramanya) whatever we have stated will not go wrong.

23. மெணேகள் விருத்திென்ணன பமொழிகுலறொம் ஆண் ொல்பரண்டு செமுடன் ப ண் ொேவ்வொ(ர்)று ஸொற்றிலனொம் தீர்க்கமொக விதியினொ லிரண்டுலசெம் விளம்பிலனொ மிவனுக்லகெொன் நதிசணட யணிந்லெொன்லெவி நொயகி புகன்றிட்லடொலம.
About children of the native
23. We will tell about children of the native. He will get two male and two female children and they will have long life. On account of fate, two more children will die. The Rishi addresses Parvati as the wife of one who bears the river Ganga on his head and told her like that.

25. We will tell about the siblings of native’s mother. We do not find any male siblings. Even the female co-born also is not seen. That way the mother’s clan will perish on earth. Listen further, protector of the ascetics!

Previous birth of native’s mother
26. We will tell about her previous birth. On the western side of a big town this skilful lady was born in a cowherds family without any blemishes. She was born in a rich family there. She lived without any deceptive nature. She was devoted to worshipping the God.

கவனமொய்ச் சுற்றத்ெொர்கள் கழறுவர் மனபவறுப் ொல் வமுள மறுபசன்மத்தில் ொவயொ யுதித்துலமலும்.
28. She will try to fulfill the requirements of the people of her clan. But she was deceiving the other people. Such an action of her was noticed by her relations and they got vexed. Because of this she took her next birth also as a woman.

29. Thereafter, because of bad luck, those who were born with her did not flourish. The relations cursed her that she will live without dignity in her next birth and that curse fell upon her and she was affected by an incurable disease and died because of that.

30. Created by Brahma she took birth now. The evils done in the previous birth started troubling her in this birth. And this birth also ended. We will tell about her next birth in this earth. வொழ்கிற கொேந்ென்னில் மத்திம வறுணமபூண்டு ஆழியி ேகத்திலயொகம் அணுகிடு பமன்றுபசொல்லி.
33. The poor people due to vexation cursed him. In the next birth, while living as a rich man, he will face a little poverty and finally he will get fortune in the sea.
34. ென்னுட குேபெய்வத்ணெச் செொவுலம நிணனத்துக்பகொண்டு இன்ன்வன் வொெலரொக பமய்திலய மரைமொகி
உன்னிெ கர்னவம் பமய்ென விவலனயம்மொ ! சிந்ணெயொய் ஏணழசொ ம் லசர்ந்திடும் இச்பசன்மத்தில்.
34. He was always worshipping his Kula Devatha (family deity). At that time he was affected by paralysis and died. This is that person Mother! The curse given by the poor people affected him in this birth.
