Copper Kettle Virginian Whiskey,

Natural Sugar, Aromatic Bitters

Legend has it the Old Fashioned recipe was invented by the Pendennis Club bartender in Louisville, KY. He made the

bourbon cocktail in honor of Colonel James E. Pepper, a prominent bourbon distiller, who then brought it to the

Waldorf-Astoria Hotel bar in New York City.

Laird’s Old Apple Brandy, Cointreau, Lemon Juice This drink dates back to WWI in Paris. An American Army Captain would often travel to Harry’s New York Bar in the sidecar of his friend’s motorbike in search of a a drink to warm him

up before dinner. Straight cognac was not seen as an appropriate drink so early in the evening so the bartender mixed some Cointreau and lemon juice with it. We put our own Virginia twist

and incorporated Laird’s Old Apple Brandy from North Garden Virginia, and combine with Cointreau and lemon juice.

Our drink has Ragged Branch Straight Rye Bourbon, sweet vermouth, both cherry and angostura bitters finished with a

Luxardo cherry served either on the rocks or straight up.

by replacing the soda water with gin. The Negroni lives on as an enduring testament to his wisdom.
