Project: M.C. Dean, Inc.
Location: Baltimore, MD
Project Type: Solar-Integrated Roofing System System Size: 66.512 kW
Completion: January 2011
Description: Pfister Energy of Baltimore, LLC teamed up with Kinsley Construction to install a solar-integrated roofing system on a 200-year-old building, which is adjacent to the Baltimore Ravens Stadium. The project incorporated several renewable energy technologies. First, Pfister replaced the existing roof with a premium Firestone two-ply modified bitumen roofing system to create a watertight barrier for the life of the solar system (25+ years). Following that, Pfister installed a 66.512 thin-film solar array that fully adhered to the roof membrane (62.832 kW(DC) Uni-Solar PV and 3.680 kW(DC) of Trina Solar PV). The remainder of the roof was coated with white elastomeric to reduce heat transfer into the building, thus achieving a solar integrated roofing system.
The new roof is expected to produce 76,954 kWh per year and more than 1.7 million kWh over a 25-year period, which will significantly reduce electric costs.

Project: 143-43 41st Avenue Location: Flushing, NYProject Type: Solar-Integrated Roofing System System Size: 26.928 kW
Completion: February 2009
Description: The installed system is a truly solar integrated roofing system in that it is applied as an integral part of the roof system. The flexible, lightweight, Uni-Solar Photovoltaic Laminates are applied directly to the surface of the roofing system. The combination creates a most durable, practical energy-producing roof possible. Access to the roof is not restricted due to the ruggedness of the photovoltaic laminates, so compromises for servicing roof-mounted equipment do not have to be made. Roof loading is a non-issue due to the fact that the Uni-Solar photovoltaic laminates weigh less than one pound per square foot, a tiny fraction of the weight of glass-based photovoltaic panels.

Project Type: Thin-Film Solar System System Size: 215.040 kW
Completion: February 2009
Description: Parker Hannifin had a 215 kW thin film solar electric system installed on their corporate headquarters in Connecticut. This solar electric system will help offset electrical usage costs to the company. Necessary roof repairs were made before the thin film panels were laid allowing the solar system and the roof to work in conjunction with each other.

Project: Pennsauken Landfill
Location: Pennsauken, NJ
Project Type: Utility-Scale Solar Ground Mount System System Size: 1.09 MW
Completion: February 2008
Description: The reclaimed landfill at Pennsauken, New Jersey was equipped with over 1 megawatt of solar electric power. This large-scale project is a ground mount design using hard panel
photovoltaic modules. Over the life of the system, greenhouse gasses such as Nitrogen, Sulfur and Carbon will be reduced by over 56 million pounds per kilowatt hour, collectively.
