Dear Colleagues,

It is my pleasure to invite you to the 5

th

European

Coloproctology Course Wuerzburg (ECCW) which will take

place the 17

th

and 18

th

March 2014 in Wuerzburg,

Germany. The ECCW provides a unique comprehensive

step-by-step hands-on training programme for diagnostic

and surgery in Coloproctology. Under the supervision of

international well known experts attendees will be guided

through a variety of diagnostic and surgical procedures

(such as haemorrhoidectomy, fistula surgery, Altemeier-/

Delorme procedure, STARR/Contour Transtar, pouch

surgery). By means of detailed 3D instruction videos,

demonstrated by the experts, participants will be able to

perform colorectal surgery on specially developed porcine

models. The Hot Topic Session of the course this year will

include highly selected contributions of renowned experts

around the world providing advanced information of

current and future aspects in the treatment of fecal

incontinence. In addition we are proud and honored for

including a keynote lecture being presented by

Dr. M. Berho, Cleveland Clinic, Florida, USA. I very much

hope that you will be able to accept our invitation and

make an important contribution to the success of this
