Welcome to Western Extrusions. Founded in 1979, the company has grown from the original 49,000 square feet facility with one 1,650-ton press to over 550,000 square feet of manufacturing space that includes five presses, horizontal paint line, anodizing, and fabrication centers. This phenomenal growth has been a direct result of customer service and continued reinvestment in order to provide our customers with the products they need, when they need them.

Any company can proclaim superior customer service, but it requires quality people to deliver on that promise. To go along with modern technology and leading edge equipment, Western is aware that true excellence requires the right people. Consequently, we have assembled some of the most experienced and skilled personnel in the industry.

Many managers and employees have been with the company for over 10 years. Western employees share management’s ”Sense of Urgency” in supplying you, our customer. These same people are committed to solving your problems by going one step further in fulfilling your needs.

CUSTOMER SERVICE

Our dedicated staff of customer service representatives is always either a phone call or an email away. The Western way is to provide superior service by establishing strong relationships with our customers in order to anticipate future needs. We strive to understand your business and help you succeed.

In order to ensure that the customer remains at the forefront of the operation, Western uses tracking software throughout its operation, from order entry to shipping and invoicing. Utilizing this system, Western can provide its customers with up to-the-minute order status information. Software is used to manage backlogs, generate work orders, and collect production data throughout the facility. Being one of the first extrusion companies to implement tracking software, over 20 years ago, Western continues to be in the forefront through testing new software applications.

QUALITY

From custom alloy and billet come custom extrusions. At Western, we believe that the quality of our products is not just the result of our inspection process–it is largely the result of our manufacturing process. We start with premium quality billet and dies to which we add the skills of our seasoned staff utilizing our state-of-the-art equipment. Western employs properly sequenced inspections to ensure that the end products not only meet our customer’s specifications, but also meet our quality standards. Our comprehensive in-process inspections, from presses to packaging, yield consistently high-quality products for our customers.

EXTRUSION

After shopping the world for the latest in Extrusion technology, Western Extrusions has assembled many of the most technologically advanced extrusion lines in North America. Western has five presses capable of producing shapes up to a 13-inch circle size with extrusion lengths up to 60 feet. Our extrusion lines have the most sophisticated cooling/quenching systems available today, ensuring consistent temper specifications with minimal distortion. Utilizing premium billet, Western offers 1060, 6063, 6005, 6061 and 6463 alloys. Western’s combination of extrusion lines allows us to supply product in a broad range of sizes, solid and hollow shapes, and precision tolerances demanded by ever-changing industry needs.

ENGINEERING

Using state-of-the-art software, our engineering department can draft extrusion die prints for any type of aluminum application. We produce clear, concise , high resolution prints that enable us to ensure dimensional accuracy of mating parts and assemblies. Our staff also provides valuable consultation assistance to ensure that the final product meets all of your specifications.

The company has expanded press capability three times in the last eight years. Through continual research in aluminum extrusion manufacturing, we constantly add the finest equipment.

F I N I S H I N G

Western Extrusions has the capability to provide our customers with a variety of quality finishes. Aluminum is the material of choice in many applications due to its finishing characteristics and color options. Depending on the end-use application, Western offers the finish of choice to match any application.

OUR FINISHING CAPABILITIES INCLUDE:

MECHANICAL FINISHING

Polishing, Straight Brush, Spiral Brush and Cross-Hatch Brush for lengths up to 25 feet

CHEMICAL FINISHING

Etch capabilities in Clear, Gold, Bronze, Black and Champagne, as well as, Brite Dip capabilities in Silver, Gold, Bronze, Black, Champagne and Platinum (Brushed Nickel). All chemical finishing meets or exceeds the standards set forth by the Aluminum Association and AAMA specifications.

PAINTED FINISHES

Western operates a horizontal paint line capable of painting lengths up to 30 feet utilizing Kynar and Polyester paints. The electrostatic spray application assures quality coating for the extruded product.

FABRICATION

Our capacity to generate and meet the special fabrication requirements of our customers is one of the most important aspects of Western Extrusions’ full-service capabilities.

Reduce costs and streamline your operations by utilizing Western’s fabrication services. We offer customers a full line of fabrication capabilities. Our various fabrication options help customers save time and expenses through vendor consolidation and reduction of in-house process requirements. Western’s goal is to be your single source for finished extrusion products.

Operations are completed on state-of-the-art machining centers, which can reduce your turnaround time and overall costs. In-process inspection and quality control are an integral part of the Western quality service.

PACKING/SHIPPING

Western Extrusions provides whatever packaging is necessary to preserve the quality of each custom extrusion order throughout its delivery. From master bundling to man-sized bundling, from paper layering to paper interleaving, and from spiral wrapping to cardboard boxing or stretch-wrapping, our packing specifications are geared to ensure your
