Our Platform Beds

Simple yet inspiring, a successful platform

bed balances creativity with precision and

focus. The spare nature of the style

re-quires the materials and detailing to be

platform bed designs do just this. Each is

made by hand using solid hardwood

planks, including American Cherry and

plantation grown Mahogany. Our platform

beds have a sensibility that respects the

variation and warmth of the natural

materi-als. Hand sanded then artfully glazed, our

coated for durability, yet retain a smooth,

Zen Platform Bed

Our classic Japanese style platform bed is elegantly constructed of solid hard-wood planks. The rich espresso finish is built up in layers, accentuating the nat-ural wood grain and tradi-tional joinery. Our unique padded, upholstered deck insures comfort and proper mattress support. Large-scale solid hardwood feet attach securely and provide a strong and stable base for the design. Headboard 25”h.

Mondrian Bed

Sophisticated in its simplic-ity, our Mondrian bed is unique as a contemporary design. For sleeping comfort it has been made to use a mattress and box spring set rather than a platform mat-tress alone. It is entirely handcrafted of solid Ma-hogany and has a deep, dark brown finish. Alerion Platform Bed

Our favorite example of clean, curvaceous styling from the mid twentieth cen-tury. Our Alerion platform bed is handcrafted of sub-stantial hardwood planks and features our hand-rubbed espresso finish. The thick headboard plank is attached with hand forged brackets. As a platform bed it requires the use of a mattress only and includes a sturdy, padded wood platform for proper mattress support. Headboard 35" high.

Our original modernist plat-form bed in solid American black Cherry with an ex-posed steel frame. The head-board and perimeter of the platform are solid wood with a natural finish that enhances the beauty and character of the design. Our rail system is specially en-gineered for each of our beds and features a structural steel support system that’s warranted as long as you own it. Wood beds have solid wood rails with the steel structure hidden inside. Metal rails are welded or forged from heavy gauge steel and painted to match the bed. Beds are designed to use a mattress and boxspring set. Platform beds are made to use a mattress alone and include the plat-form on which the mattress sits. Our bed linens have been designed to fit U.S. size bedding, pillows and down products. Approximate dimensions for standard mattresses sets are listed below. Beds that are in stock ship within a few days. Shipping charges are based on weight and size. They are shown by the letters A, B, etc., in the product descriptions. Delivery charges within the lower 48 states are listed below. Our furniture deliveries are made by express carrier. Service includes deliv-ery inside your front door. Because our beds are large, bulky items, we recommend you arrange for another person to help with assembly. We can also arrange to have your bed assembled for an ad-ditional fee. Service to Alaska, Hawaii and worldwide is also available at reasonable rates, please call a showroom for more information.
