What is the TotalPay
®
Card?
• TotalPay
®cards are standard debit cards that work the same
way as a traditional debit card issued by banks to people with
a checking or savings account.
• TotalPay
®cards are distributed by employers to allow
employees to receive their pay electronically, even if they
do not have a bank account.
• There is NO credit check to receive this card.
• Personalized, reloadable Visa debit card
• PIN and signature based
• Replenished with each pay cycle
• Accepted at a global network of participating ATMs, Visa
merchants, and Visa member banks
• Instant-issue Visa card also available—a great solution for
―on-the-spot‖ disbursements

Why do we want the TotalPay
®
Card at
American University?
The College has a campus-wide initiative of going
Green
to create cost savings.
We currently process paychecks for employees who do not have direct deposit on check stock.
Impact to Employees:

which includes replacement and reissue, as well as check spoilage (checks never
cashed/stale-dated)

• Has Visa logo on card so accepted anywhere there is a merchant who
accepts Visa
• Can be used at any Allpoint Network ATM to withdraw funds for Free
• Can withdraw some or all of net pay at any Visa member bank for Free
• Can make purchases at any location that accepts debit cards, such as
supermarkets, gas stations, etc.
• Use Money Network™ Checks to pay bills, rent or use it to get 100% of
net pay – all Wal-Mart locations will cash a Money Network check for
Free
• Comes with 3 checks
• Transfer funds to another account
• Send money to another country for reduced fees
• If card is lost/stolen – call the 800 number to vendor to have it replaced
and still have access to your money via the Money Network™ Check
• No waiting for deposited checks to clear
• Secondary cards are available for a spouse or other trusted family
