Explanation as to why I chose this item……
I chose this item because it focuses on the importance of providing lessons on fitness and nutrition for students. Not only did this item help me learn about how to write a lesson plan but also it helped me discover the importance of fitness and nutrition in everyday life. It is important that students at a young age are educated about nutrition and fitness so they are able to live healthy lives.

Item Title: Fitness and Nutrition Lesson Plan__
Date / Semester Created: _Spring 2013__
Course Where Item Was Completed:_PED 105-201_____
I: Item Context
Teacher candidates must describe the context in which the item was developed or collected.
This item was developed in order to provide a lesson plan about fitness and nutrition. As a part of the assignment it was important to focus on the objectives and make sure that each student would be able to meet them.
II. Personal Reflection Upon Growth and Development
Teacher candidates must describe how this particular item shows evidence of growth and development toward fulfillment of program outcomes.
This item was very beneficial for my future career as an educator because as an educator it is important to know how to properly right a lesson plan. Also it is important that I provide my students with information on fitness and nutrition and the importance of being active and eating healthy. This item demonstrates thinking critically and reasoning abstractly because I had to provide a clear lesson plan that was easy to follow but provided the students with obtainable objectives.
