Applications

Features

Mobile operators are deploying LTE small cells in traffic hotspots and coverage holes. This occurs in a variety of locations such as in urban canyons and indoors, where GNSS signals are weak or intermittent.

Qulsar’s Qg2, a Multi‐Sync Gateway addresses this challenge of providing reliable and precise synchronization everywhere by using multiple sync references. Qg2 is designed for deployment in distributed cluster sync architectures. This involves moving timing resources close to the edge of the network to meet the phase and frequency precision requirements at the small cell or remote radio head (RRH).

Qg2 utilizes GNSS (GPS, Beidou & GLONASS), IEEE 1588 PTP and Synchronous Ethernet as input references and generates IEEE 1588 PTP, SyncE and timing signals(frequency,1PPS, and ToD) as outputs. The Multi Sync Gateway features dual gigabit Ethernet ports and a small form-factor pluggable(SFP) module port for optical connections. It provides all the relevant timing interfaces such as GNSS, 1 Pulse Per Second (1PPS) and Time of Day (ToD) input/output.

XX Series - Network Packet Broker

A Network Packet Broker (NPB) is a device that optimizes the flow of traffic between TAP and SPAN connections and network monitoring, security and acceleration tools. By maintaining a many-to-many (M:M) port mapping of network ports to monitoring ports, they can direct network traffic efficiently, and filters can be applied to optimize bandwidth usage on the network. This also means that the performance of out-of-band tools increases as they receive only actionable data.

Network architectures are constantly becoming more complex and distributed, and so are network speeds, volumes of data, and traffic. Network Packet Brokers help you optimize the performance of your monitoring and security tools across the entire network by giving each tool the right packet data, which results in an increase of network efficiency while reducing your costs.

Profitap XX-Series Network Packet Brokers are high density packet brokers, bringing you the power and flexibility of network traffic management with a total throughput of up to 3.2 Tbps in a single 19″ RU. All XX- Series Network Packet Brokers offer powerful features, such as aggregation, replication, advanced filtering, and load balancing.

The XX-32G is an entry-level packet brokering solution. It provides 4 x 1G SFP ports + 2 x 10G SFP+ ports. It accepts modules for additional port options, and one passive TAP. A portable model of the XX-32G distributed TAP is also available.

Network Packet Brokers help you optimize the performance of your monitoring and security tools across the entire network by giving each tool the right packet data, which results in an increase of network efficiency while reducing your costs.

The Profitap X2-Series NPBs are next-generation network packet brokers (NGNPBs) with a total throughput of up to 6.4 Tbps. In addition to the standard XX-Series features, these NGNPBs offer an extensive set of features, such as packet slicing, GTP IP filtering, ERSPAN Tunneling & De-Tunneling, GTP correlation, packet deduplication, and timestamping.

Net.Storm: Network Impairment Generator

Net.Hunter: Packet Capture Tap or Store

Net.Shark: Hand-held TAP

Net.Storm generates those perturbances typical of IP and Carrier Ethernet to test applications, devices and protocols that should be tolerant with packet delay, jitter, loss, duplication, reordering, error and bandwidth variations.

This unique Packet Capture Appliance is capable of analyzing ALL packets in a full duplex live line, while capturing those that are compliant with a trigger condition, or with any of the 15+15 programmable filters. Suspicion packets can either be saved in a local hard disk drive -at wirespeed- either be tapped to a LAN. Operations are executed at FULL bit rate in both directions [Tx+Rx] with ZERO delay [ns] and ZERO loss to the live traffic.
