Newfoundland ( and Labrador ) is a province of
Canada on the country’s Atlantic coast.
This eastern-most Canadian province is
com-prised of two main regions ― the island of
New-foundland off the country’s eastern coast, and
Labrador on the mainland to the north-west of
the island.
The province is often referred to by the
abbrevi-ation «
NL
».
The population is greater than 500,000, and the
capital city is Saint John’s.
In 2011, Newfoundland and Labrador
ARBITRARI-LY IMPOSED the NEEDLESS, SENSELESS, and
MALI-CIOUS PROHIBITION against pest control products
used by the Modern Professional Lawn Care
In-dustry.
This Canadian Province operates like Hitler’s
Na-zi
Germany,
which
includes
a
LUNATIC-INFORMANT-SERVICE and a small army of
Anti-Pesticide Lunatics.
If these lunatics wore Swastikas, and lived in the
1930s and 1940s, they would be leading the Third
Reich.
Just like the Nazis, Anti-Pesticide Lunatics
re-ceive guidance and instruction from the
SUBVER-SIVE and LUNATIC MASTER RACE, like Canadian
Cancer Society and Coalition For Alternatives To Pesticides.
Hitler claimed that Jews were enemies of the Aryan race, and ARBITRARILY and FALSELY held them
responsible for problems in Europe.
Similarly, these Anti-Pesticide Lunatics ARBITRARILY and FALSELY hold pest control products
responsi-ble for IMAGINARY PROBLEMS, despite the fact that they are HEALTH-CANADA-APPROVED and
SCIENTIF-ICALLY-SAFE.
Just like the Nazis, these Anti-Pesticide Lunatics operate with INFORMANTS.
Through a LUNATIC-INFORMANT-SERVICE called THE PESTICIDE
SPRAY ADVISORY.
These Anti-Pesticide Lunatics are using SOCIAL ENGINEERING
( i.e. Nazi Eugenics ) to IMPOSE LIFE-STYLE CHOICES, such as
the PROHIBITION of pest control products in the Urban
Land-scape.
These Anti-Pesticide Terrorists CLAIM TO BE PROTECTING the
CHILDREN and the ENVIRONMENT, when, in fact, they are not.
These lunatics TERRORIZE Modern Professional Lawn Care
businesses.

Despicable and Politicized Decision-Making
In early August 2012, the issue of pest control products became news over Tordon 101, a herbicide
used along provincial highways to control vegetation in areas where brush cutting has taken place to
improve visibility and reduce moose-vehicle collisions.
Tordon 101 contains the active ingredient 2,4-D ( 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid ), one of five pest
control products PROHIBITED from being used in the Urban Landscape.
Exceptions were made for what Government Officials called non-cosmetic use, including golf courses,
agriculture and forestry use, and road and infra-structure maintenance.
The government allowed these industries to use pest control products only if applicators have
WRIT-TEN AND PASSED AN EXAMINATION.
In essence, these industries are NO DIFFERENT than Professional Lawn Care businesses.
Basically, Newfoundland’s PROHIBITION POLICY FAVOURS COMMERCIAL/INDUSTRIAL APPLICATORS, but
DISCRIMINATES AGAINST RESIDENTIAL APPLICATORS WHO USE THE SAME INGREDIENTS.
Newfoundland is DESPICABLE IN ITS OBVIOUS OBJECTIVE OF DESTROYING THE PROFESSIONAL LAWN
CARE INDUSTRY BECAUSE OF ARBITRARY AND POLITICAL DECISION-MAKING BASED UPON POLICIZED
SCI-ENCE.
According to Boyd Loveless, of Landscape Newfoundland & Labrador Trade Association, the decision to
implement PROHIBITION was POLITICAL ―
We’ve got local politicians, provincial politicians, making decisions based on what —
politi-cal science or real science ?
On August 8
th, 2012, Tom Hedderson, the Anti-Pesticide Transportation and Works Minister, said that
PROHIBITION WAS NOT IMPLEMENTED IN 2012 FOR HEALTH REASONS.
Instead, he said it was because SPRAYING WAS OVERUSED IMPROPERLY and that ITS USE WAS GETTING
OUT OF HAND. [ ?!?! ]
If the government’s concern was not health related, Loveless suggests it should have consulted with
the industry, and taken an Integrated Pest Management approach whereby products would only be
ap-plied when necessary ―
They should have consulted with the professionals that are trained to apply these products
and follow the Health Canada regulations.
While Loveless said it is possible Hedderson may have only meant to target the improper application
of pest control products by home-owners, he added if that was the case, the government should have
simply removed the product from store shelves instead of issuing an OUTRIGHT BAN ―
They’ve ATTACKED A SMALL INDUSTRY within Newfoundland and Labrador.
They’ve PUT EMPLOYEES’ LIVES IN JEOPARDY.
Personally, if I thought I was going to harm any one of my four children, I wouldn’t be using
it.

Anti-Pesticide and Environmental-Terrorist Organizations
In the list below, every single organization is infested with Anti-Pesticide Lunatics who have
CON-SPIRED TO PROHIBIT AGAINST PEST CONTROL PRODUCTS in Newfoundland and Labrador.
Many of the following organizations are mere small local garden or social clubs with cutesy titles.
Many are operated by unemployed or unemployable housewives.
Many have disappeared into obscurity once prohibition was legislated in the local community, or once
grant and tax-payer money was no longer available.
Many organizations are operated by greedy and avaricious Anti-Pesticide Lunatics who have
CONCOCT-ED all sorts of IMAGINARY DANGERS regarding pest control products, hoping to PROSPER from cash
do-nations, illicit businesses, unqualified employment, and grants, quite often without paying a single
penny in taxes.
If these organizations want to be involved with SUBVERSIVE PARTISAN POLITICS and ANTI-PESTICIDE
TERRORISM, then their CHARITY TAX-EXEMPT STATUSES MUST BE REVOKED.
Directly or indirectly, previously or currently, the following Anti-Pesticide Organizations have

Concerns Of The Professional Lawn Care Industry
As industry professionals, our
prima-ry concern is the environment ―
we work to maintain it, enhance it
and conserve it.
Our entire industry depends on the
environment and we have a history
of being its stewards.
The Professional Lawn Care Industry
applies pest control products

Integrated Pest Management.
The Professional Lawn Care Industry

The

of products
containing specific ingredients.

Landscape Newfoundland & Labrador believes that the basis on which some
of the decisions were made during development of the new regulations [ i.e.

No Pesticide Poisonings Ever Reported
It is important to note that there has
NEVER BEEN A POISONING REPORTED
in either Canada or the U.S. resulting from a residential or commercial lawn
being treated properly by a professional applicator.
The majority of pesticide poisonings involving children occur in the home or
in the homes of friends and relatives, and
BECAUSE PRODUCTS WERE NOT

Northern Exposure: Acute Pesticide Poisonings in Canada, 2007, David

The Pest Management Regulatory Agency of Health Canada
DOES NOT
clas-sify pest control products as «
non-essential
» or «
cosmetic
».
Moreover, pest control products are still consumed in
AGRICULT UR AL PRO
-DUCTION
to assist farmers for the control of pests.
The herbicides used in our environment for lawn and gardens constitute
LESS TH AN ONE PER CENT
of pest control
products use in this country, while the vast
majority is used in the production of our
foods.
Thus, the argument that the Government of
Newfoundland has made is accurate ―
Health-Canada-regulated pest control
prod-ucts are
SAFE FOR OUR CONS UMPT ION
.
Therefore, if products containing 2,4-D
WERE
NOT PROHIBITED FOR HE ALTH REASON S
, we
can assume that Newfoundland and Labrador
wishes to ensure that the environment is
maintained pristinely.

Industry Reducing The Use Of Pest Control Products
The Newfoundland Anti-Pesticide
PROHIBITION
, in its current state, is
FAIL-ING TO REDUCE
the use of pest control products by the public, and it
HIN-DERS THE PROFESSIONALS
from properly using tools to address the complex
issues of Integrated Pest Management.
The Professional Lawn Care Industry’s involvement and practice in the
appli-cation of pest control products
HELPS REDUCE PESTICIDE

main-taining Green Spaces at their healthiest form, making these living organisms
more resistant to pests and requiring less input to keep them healthy.
These practices further
REDUCE
any potential harmful environmental impact,
while increasing the

Joint Effort Between Industry and Government
The Professional Lawn Care Industry confidently believes that it can
WORK
COLL ABOR ATI VELY
with the Department of Environment and Conservation
to
REDUCE THE I MP ACT
of pest control products, while
IMPROVING THE EN

As such, the Professional Lawn Care Industry recommends that the

We can
WORK TOGETHER
to improve the health of our Green Spaces.

Critical Issue
1. Pest Control Products Are Scientifically Safe
The Professional Lawn Care Industry MUST STRONGLY ADOPT THE POSITION THAT
CON-VENTIONAL PEST CONTROL PRODUCTS ARE SCIENTIFICALLY-SAFE AND CAUSE NO HARM.
Furthermore, the Professional Lawn Care Industry MUST ADVOCATE that using its services
is SAFER than Do-It-Yourself-Home-Owners who must store PESTICIDE CONCENTRATES in
the home within reach of children.
Critical Issue
2. Fertilizers Do Not Harm The Environment
The Professional Lawn Care Industry MUST ALSO ADOPT THE POLICY that its use of ANY
FERTILIZERS DOES NOT HARM THE ENVIRONMENT.
Critical Issue
3. No Prohibitions Against Pest Control Products
The Professional Lawn Care Industry MUST OPPOSE ALL FORMS OF PROHIBITION AGAINST
PEST CONTROL PRODUCTS USED IN THE URBAN LANDSCAPE.
It must OPPOSE even PROHIBITION on PUBLIC PROPERTY since this is a FIRST STEP
to-wards TOTAL PROHIBITION.
Pest control products used in the Urban Landscape are SCIENTIFICALLY-SAFE and CAUSE
NO HARM to people and environment.
Critical Issue
4. No Prohibitions Against Fertilizers
The Professional Lawn Care Industry MUST ALSO OPPOSE ALL FORMS OF PROHIBITION
AGAINST FERTILIZERS, INCLUDING PHOSPHORUS.
Turf fertilizers are NOT a major source of water pollution.
Critical Issue
5. No Negotiation With Terrorists
The Professional Lawn Care Industry MUST CEASE ATTEMPTING TO EDUCATE AND
NEGO-TIATE with Anti-Pesticide Enviro-Lunatic Government Officials and Activists.
They are to be considered ENEMIES of the industry. Anti-Pesticide-Lunatics WILL NEVER
reverse their attitudes AGAINST pest control products. NO ONE MUST NEGOTIATE WITH
TERRORISTS, either environmental or political.
Critical Issue
6. Sue The Basterds’ Brains Out
The Professional Lawn Care Industry MUST LAUNCH LITIGATION against those
Anti-Pesticide Anti-Fertilizer Enviro-Lunatic Government Officials and Activists who have
CON-SPIRED TO PROHIBIT PEST CONTROL PRODUCTS.
William H. Gathercole & NORAHG │ [email protected] │ Force Of Nature
Professional Lawn Care businesses SHOULD SEEK DAMAGES since they will be NO LONGER
able to reproduce the business results obtained prior to PROHIBITION, and the VALUE of
their businesses will have been DESTROYED.
In ALL jurisdictions where PROHIBITION has been IMPOSED, Professional Lawn Care
busi-nesses MUST DEMAND COMPENSATION FROM GOVERNMENT since PROHIBITION will have
created LOSS OF REVENUES, BUSINESS FAILURES, BANKRUPTCY, and UNEMPLOYMENT.
See later segment entitled No Recourse But Litigation ― SUE THEIR BRAINS OUT !
Critical Issue
7. Rescind All Current Prohibitions
The Professional Lawn Care Industry MUST DEMAND THAT ALL PROHIBITIONS pertaining to
the use of pest control product in the Urban Landscape BE RESCINDED in ALL PROVINCIAL
AND MUNICIPAL JURISDICTIONS.
Critical Issue
8. No Exception Status For Anybody
In those jurisdictions that REFUSE TO RESCIND or IMPOSE PROHIBITION, the Professional
Lawn Care Industry MUST DEMAND THAT ALL EXCEPTIONS TO PROHIBITION BE
RESCIND-ED.
If PROHIBITION is IMPOSED against the Professional Lawn Care Industry, then ALL
conven-tional pest control products MUST BE PROHIBITED from uses like agriculture, forestry, golf,
mosquito control, nursery, rose gardens, sod production, and sports fields.
These industries employ the VERY SAME INGREDIENTS that are used to control damaging
pests in routine turfgrass maintenance.
Critical Issue
9. Get Rid Of Anti-Pesticide Trade Associations
ALL Professional Lawn Care businesses MUST RESIGN THEIR MEMBERSHIPS from ALL Trade
Associations that have SUPPORTED the NEEDLESS, SENSELESS, and MALICIOUS
PROHIBI-TION against pest control products.
If they are not WITH US, then they are AGAINST US !
Examples of Trade Associations conspiring in Anti-Pesticide SUBVERSION ―
BC Landscape and Nursery Association ( BCLNA, British Columbia ) • Canada
Nursery Landscape Association ( CNLA ) • Canadian Golf Superintendents
Associa-tion ( CGSA ) • Golf Canada ( a.k.a. Royal Canadian Golf AssociaAssocia-tion ) •
Land-scape Nova Scotia ( Nova
Scotia ) • Landscape Ontario ( LO, Ontario ) •
Nation-al Allied Golf Association ( British Columbia ) • Union of BC MunicipNation-alities ( British
Columbia ) • Western Canada Turfgrass Association ( WCTA, British Columbia ).
Critical Issue
10. Denounce Green Alternatives
The Professional Lawn Care Industry MUST DENOUNCE the so-called GREEN ALTERNATIVES
to conventional pest control products as BOGUS. Green Alternatives DO NOT WORK.
There will likely be NO viable, efficacious, or economical Green Alternatives within our
col-lective lifetime.
William H. Gathercole & NORAHG │ [email protected] │ Force Of Nature
Examples of BOGUS Green Alternatives ― Corn Gluten Meal Herbicide • Fiesta
Herbi-cide • Manual Weed-Picking • Neem Oil InsectiHerbi-cide • Nematode InsectiHerbi-cides •
Phoma macrostoma Herbicide • Weed-Burning Flame Throwers.
The Professional Lawn Care Industry MUST ALSO DENOUNCE CULTURAL PRACTICES as
so-called alternatives to the use of pest control products. Cultural practices DO NOT WORK in
controlling pests.
Critical Issue
11. Prohibit Nematode Insecticides
The Professional Lawn Care Industry MUST DEMAND that ALL USES OF NEMATODE
INSEC-TICIDES BE PROHIBITED UNTIL THEY ARE REGISTERED UNDER FEDERAL LAW.
Even though they are Green Alternatives, they are pest control products that MUST BE
REGULATED.
Besides, Nematode Insecticides are NOT viable, efficacious, or economical Green
Alterna-tives to replace conventional insect control products.
In those jurisdictions where PROHIBITION has been IMPOSED, it would be preferable for
the home-owner or Professional Lawn Care business to DO NOTHING rather than use
Nematode Insecticides.
Critical Issue
12. Denounce Integrated Pest Management
The Professional Lawn Care Industry MUST CEASE focusing on the INEFFECTIVE Integrated
Pest Management ( IPM ) strategies as the solution to its public affairs problems.
Besides, IPM DOES NOT WORK.
It is IMPOSSIBLE for Professional Lawn Care businesses to keep their properties playable
and/or beautiful by using IPM.
Critical Issue
13. Discredit Organic Maintenance
The Professional Lawn Care Industry MUST SCIENTIFICALLY DEFINE and PUBLICALLY
DIS-CREDIT the mis-leading term «
Organic Maintenance », and establish policies for
EXPEL-LING companies using this inaccurate and misleading term from its trade associations.
Moreover, the VAST MAJORITY of these companies CONSPIRE TO PROHIBIT conventional
pest control products for their own VESTED INTERESTS.
These companies are not WITH US, they are AGAINST US !
Examples of BUSINESSES THAT MUST BE EXPELLED FROM TRADE ASSOCIATIONS ―
Or-ganic Landscape ( Alliance ) Association ( OLA ) • The Environmental Factor.
Critical Issue
14. Embark On Public Relations Campaign
The Professional Lawn Care Industry MUST VIGOROUSLY EMBARK ON A MASSIVE PUBLIC
RELATIONS CAMPAIGN to STOP the proposed scheme by Anti-Pesticide Activists and New
Democratic Party of Canada ( NDP ) threatening a NATIONAL PROHIBITION of pest control
products.
William H. Gathercole & NORAHG │ [email protected] │ Force Of Nature
The Professional Lawn Care Industry MUST VIGOROUSLY EMBARK ON A MASSIVE PUBLIC
RELATIONS CAMPAIGN declaring that ORGANIC PESTICIDE-FREE MAINTENANCE DOES NOT
WORK AND IS A DISMAL FAILURE !
The Professional Lawn Care Industry MUST VERY STRONGLY ADDRESS AND DISCREDIT ALL
MISCONCEPTIONS concerning ―
2,4-D Herbicide • DDT Insecticide • Glyphosate Herbicide ( Roundup ) •
Herbicide Orange ( Agent Orange ) • Imidacloprid Insecticide ( Merit ), and other
ingredients.
Critical Issue
15. Get Rid Of Anti-Pesticide Institutions
The Professional Lawn Care Industry MUST TERMINATE ALL RELATIONSHIPS with ALL
TEACHING and RESEARCH INSTITUTIONS that SUPPORT the PROHIBITION of pest control
products.
ALL joint activities and educational seminars MUST BE ENDED FOR AN INDEFINITE PERIOD
OF TIME.
If they are not WITH US, then they are AGAINST US !
Examples of TEACHING and RESEARCH INSTITUTIONS that are INFESTED WITH
ANTI-PESTICIDE LUNATICS ―
Dalhousie University • Gaia College • McMaster University • Simon Fraser
University • University of British Columbia • University of Guelph •
Universi-ty of Manitoba • UniversiUniversi-ty of Ottawa • UniversiUniversi-ty of Waterloo • UniversiUniversi-ty of
Western Ontario • University of Winnipeg • University of Windsor.
Critical Issue
16. Provide Political Support
The Professional Lawn Care Industry MUST OPENLY AND FINANCIALLY SUPPORT ALL
POLIT-ICAL CANDIDATES WHO OPPOSE ANY PROHIBITION of pest control products and fertilizers.
If the Professional Lawn Care Industry wants to EXERT INFLUENCE on Elected Government
Officials, it MUST OPENLY AND FINANCIALLY SUPPORT ALL POLITICAL CANDIDATES who
oppose ANY Anti-Pesticide PROHIBITION.
Forget about EDUCATING and CONVINCING Elected Government Officials.
GIVE THEM MONEY AND GIVE THEM SUPPORT during the next General Election.
No Recourse But Litigation ― SUE THEIR BRAINS OUT !
The Professional Lawn Care Industry MUST STRIKE BACK with LITIGATION against its
ENE-MIES who are Anti-Pesticide Anti-Fertilizer Environmental-Terrorists.
These lunatics COULD NOT CARE LESS about SCIENCE-BASED EVIDENCE.
THEY HATE AND DESPISE THE PROFESSIONAL LAWN CARE INDUSTRY, and WILL DESTROY
IT AT ANY COST.
The Professional Lawn Care Industry MUST ADOPT THE POLICY that the ONLY COURSE OF
ACTION AGAINST PROHIBITION IS THROUGH LITIGATION.
When criminal charges for FRAUD and CONSPIRACY are laid against Anti-Pesticide
Govern-ment Officials and Activists, legal experts say that there is sufficient information to lead to a
SUCCESSFUL PROSECUTION !
William H. Gathercole & NORAHG │ [email protected] │ Force Of Nature

It Must Become THE DANGER Against the Lunatics.
