ABSTRACT: The quality of image is affected by environmental factors such as fog and it is difficult for automated systems to process and analyse the image as visibility is less. Image defogging method is used to get fog free images for better processing. The proposed method is used to calculate atmospheric light for the process of image defogging. This paper presents an image defogging method with efficient transmission map. The transmission mapis calculated for each channel of input foggy RGB(Red, Green and Blue) image. Transmission maps of each R, G, and B channels of the input foggy image are used to calculate a mean transmission map. Mean transmission map is improvedwithout loss of edge information using laplacian and mean filters to get better fog free image. Contrast improvement index, structural similarity index and fog effect are calculated and shows that the fog free images reconstructed using the proposed method are efficient. Experimental results show that reconstructed fog free image has good contrast, better visible quality which is efficient for processing and analysing.
We have discovered that the color ellipsoid frame- work effectively exposes how the single image defogging methods estimate the transmission when the atmospheric dichromatic model is used mathematically and empiri- cally. Another discovery was that a new dark prior method was created using Lemma 2. A cost function was designed to minimize the average centroid position while stay- ing within the atmospheric dichromatic model. The color ellipsoid framework was the key in the development of this new method. More results can be seen in Figure 9. 8 Conclusion

Visual application is important aspect for any detection. The image detection are used in many fields, one such as object tracking needs a clear image to track the object. However, it is common that in a poor weather conditions, like haze, rain, defog, dehaze the image quality degrades. The image defogging is occurred due to frequently exposure to strong light, rain, snow, fog. The Confidence-encoded SVM is used to detect a particular image in a video, here they are transferring generic pedestrian detector to a scene-specific detector. This involves four steps, all these four steps considerations are formulated under a single objective function called confidence-encoded svm. Contextmodeling framework is used and they formulate polar geometric context, in order to quantify context they use new margin context. Tools used here are PASCAL VOC2005 and VOC2007 data sets, they detect two things luggage and vehicle with the help of i-LIDS data set and outdoor surveillance footage. Chromatic Atmospheric Scattering is a study done on different climatic conditions, here the three dimensional structure is proposed, the chromatic model is derived in several geometric constraints on scene color changes caused by varying atmospheric conditions. The traditional image processing techniques where not sufficient to remove weather effects from images, thus they introduced a physics-based model that describes the appearances of scenes in uniform bad weather conditions proposed a fast algorithm . Gaussian -based method computed fusion weighting scheme and the atmospheric light it improves the light source. Contrast Restoration has three tools to enhance a moving vehicle a restoration method based on Koschmieder’s law, a scene depth modeling and an image quality attribute used to evaluate the quality of the restoration. Single image haze removal uses the Gaussian -based method because the original image has a very low intensities. Polarization solves the spatially-varying reduction of contrast by stray radiance (airlight). Interactive algorithms are used to remove weather effects from, and add weather effects to, a single image. Physical model is used in a computer vision in order to have a haze free image in different climatic conditions earlier they used polarization now to have a better enhancement in the image a physical model is used. Thus image processing is enhanced by all this methods to get a quantitative and quality image.

In this paper, the proposed method a simple but effective prior is called color depth maps technique for single image dehazing. This method is based on the multiple scattering phenomena so the input image becomes blurry. When this method is combined with haze imaging model, single dehazing image becomes simple and effective. This algorithm is based on local content rarer than color and this can be applied to large variety of images. This method is meaningful for color based images for all application. In foggy removal method there is a still common problem is to be solved, that is scattering coefficient 𝛽 in atmospheric scattering model cannot be regarded as constant in atmospheric conditions. To overcome this problem some more physical models can be taken into account.
1.2 The past ten years, about the color image to fog about the situation is Tan and Toda team used MRF (Markov Random Field) to model the transmittance and maximize the local contrast, achieving the purpose of de-fogging color images . The algorithm assumes relatively low fog contrast, the transmittance is related to the depth of the scene, and the local area is approximately constant, the drawback of this algorithm is simply restores the scene from the perspective of image enhancement rather than the physically handicapped problem. Therefore, the images obtained by this method are often supersaturated, and the statistical characteristics of the old images.
Vivek Maik et.al (2018). In this paper, we present a novel and successful defogging calculation. Our technique gauges the environmental light utilizing mist free reference picture about same scene and mist line vectors. So as to gauge transmission, we connected triangle fluffy enrollment work. The weighted L1-Norm based relevant regularization is utilized to decrease transmission estimation mistake, for example, unexpected profundity hop. Trial results demonstrate that we can obtain haze free pictures with less shading contortion than the ordinary strategies. This strategy can be utilized preprocessing methods aimed at different video investigation application, for example, propelled driver help frameworks (ADAS), self-driving vehicle and reconnaissance framework .
reason for picture debasement in foggy climate, just managing the characteristics of the foggy image with high precision what's more, low difference. This can debilitate the mist impact on pictures, improve the perceivability of scenes, and upgrade the differentiation of pictures. The most normally utilized strategy in picture upgrade is histogram leveling, which can viably improve the difference of pictures, yet inferable from the uneven profundity of scenes in foggy pictures, to be specific, distinctive scenes are influenced by mist in fluctuating degree, worldwide histogram evening out can't completely expel the mist impact, while a few subtleties are as yet obscured. In writing , the sky is first isolated by nearby histogram leveling, and after that profundity data coordinating is gotten skillfully in the non-sky zone by a moving format. This calculation defeats the inadequacy of the worldwide histogram even in out for the detail processing and avoids the influence of the sky noise. Be that as it may, when this calculation is connected sub image selection effectively prompts square impact and subsequently can't improve the special visualization extensively. In this paper we investigate a few different ways to diminish the cloudiness from the pictures that are shot either in foggy climate conditions or some other hindrances noticeable all around which pulverizes the lucidity of picture. This issue for the most part happens on account of bigger far off pictures and particularly on account of aeronautical symbolism. The fundamental rule point here is to discover different approaches to isolate the murkiness content from the genuine picture substance and after that subtract that cloudiness part so as to finish up with an unmistakable picture. One approach to discover the murkiness content is by utilizing a polarization channel before a camera and adjusts the introduction of it by various points and accumulate every one of those pictures. This technique is extremely exact in finding and evacuating the dimness which makes it conceivable to get a much more clear picture toward the end.
Fog reduces contrast and thus the visibility of vehicles and obstacles for drivers. Each year, this causes traffic accidents. Fog is caused by a high concentration of very fine water droplets in the air. When light hits these droplets, it is scattered and this results in a dense white background, called the atmospheric veil. As pointed in , Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) based on the display of defogged images from a camera may help the driver by improving objects visibility in the image and thus may lead to a decrease of fatality and injury rates. In the last few years, the problem of single image defogging has attracted attention in the image processing community. Being an ill- posed problem, several methods have been proposed however, a few among of these methods are dedicated to the processing of road images.
The purpose of image segmentation is to partition an image into meaningful regions with respect to a particular application. Image segmentation, is often an essential step in image analysis, object representation, visualization, and many other image processing tasks. The segmentation is based on measurements taken from the image and might be grey level, color, texture, depth or motion. Segmentation divides an image into its constituent regions or objects. Segmentation of images is a difficult task in image processing. Segmentation allows in extracting the objects in images. Image segmentation Techniques are extensively used in similarity searches. Segmentation algorithms are based on one of two basic properties of color, gray values, or texture: discontinuity and similarity. Image segmentation techniques is mainly three types i.e. region based, clustering based and edge based image segmentation. In this research paper we deal with region based segmentations in Order to perform comparisons of watershed algorithm and K-NN.
The process of dividing an image into groups of pixels[1-2] which are homogeneous with respect to some criterion is called image segmentation. Extraction of various features in an image is the main objective of image segmentation. It is the first step in image analysis and pattern recognition. The segmentation deals with partitioning an image into meaningful regions. Image segmentation is classified into two types. They are: 1). Local Segmentation and 2). Global Segmentation. Local Segmentation deals with segmenting sub images. Global Segmentation deals with segmenting a whole image. Image segmentation is a classic and vital issue in image processing which takes an important position in linking image processing to image analysis. Therefore, seeking a new segmentation algorithm or a combination of various methods becomes an inevitable trend for remote sensing image processing. Many techniques thus were proposed to reduce time spent on computation and still maintain reasonable thresholding results. Among many image segmentation algorithms, the Otsu algorithm is a threshold-based segmentation algorithm which is proposed by Otsu in the year 1979. It uses the image histogram to get a corresponding binary image relying on the greatest variance between the target and background class so as to determine the image segmentation threshold value. Otsu’s method was one of the better threshold selection methods for general real-world images with regard to uniformity and shape measures. However, Otsu’s method uses to evaluate the criterion for maximizing the between-class variance.
ABSTRACT: Image segmentation plays a vital role in image analysis, image understanding and image processing. It is used to determine actually what is inside the image. Image segmentation basically convert complex image into simple image so that image is more meaningful and easier to analyze. Image segmentation divides an image into its constituent regions or objects such that regions are homogeneous with respect to certain features such as color, texture, grey level and other features. In this paper, four categories which work in spatial domain are emphasized: Edge based, Region based, Thresholding based and clustering based segmentation.
Abstract- Image processing is a form of signal processing in which the input is an image, for example , a photograph or video and as output we get either an image or a set of characteristics corresponding to the image. Image processing can also be defined as a means of conversion between the human visual system and digital imaging devices. A proper study of typical Image processing systems is done. All components of Image processing, their application and interrelations between them are thoroughly examined i.e., input devices, output devices and software, its application, the current research going on Image Processing and its need in the future.
One of the most successful methods is median filter . The median filter is a nonlinear signal processing technology based on statistics. The noisy value of the digital image or the sequence is replaced by the median value of the neighbourhood (mask). The pixels of the mask are ranked in the order of their gray levels, and the median value of the group is stored to replace the noisy value. This filter has generated best results for low noise density but it is not this much efficient when high density of noise is present.

management and choice of datatypes. In order to deal with this problem, we will try to avoid floating point operations where possible in favour of integer operations. Lastly, despite the high resolution of up to several megapixels, the image quality of mobile phone cameras is still poor compared to digital compact cameras. This causes the image to suffer from blur, over- or underexposure and noise. Since there is no way of improving the camera quality, these errors can only be mitigated by choosing image processing methods that do not rely too heavily on flawless image quality.
near to the members. However, more is needed to be done in the church administration in order to meet the current challenges being faced by the whole society. The religious groups should have very qualified personnel in all areas such as medical, administrative, legal sector, communication and media sector among others. This should improve the efficiency of their service deliverance and thus improve the evangelical mission which should be centrally geared to the manifestation of GOD’s image in the world. In line with the above, the ecumenical spirit among Christians and even Muslims is moving towards a promising future. The formation of National Christian Council of Kenya has assisted in addressing factors affecting Christian faith. Ufungamano initiative which brought Christian from different groups together to address issues on the last constitutional review was encouraging and more such specialized group should be formed to address and represent the religious faith in various secular forums both locally and internationally (Repared, 2009:83).
balanced primary color contribution. These images demonstrate a consistent yield for a given binarization methods irrespective of the C2G transformation. For example, in case of HW04 Image, the F-Measure for Otsu(41.13), Multi- Threshold (92.91), Sauvola (85.27), Wolf (92.27), NICK(84.78) and Bradley (68.59) are unvaried (except for meager deviations) regardless of the C2G transformation used. This is also applicable for Tables Table5, Table 6 and Table 7. Owed at equal contribution of color channels, the gray-scale image produced by various C2G techniques is almost the same. Thus, despite the variations in binarization methods, the results are same for a particular method. On the C2G perspective, the Luminance method has shown evidently good results for all these four images, due to the gamma correction carried out before transformation. In case of HW05, the ink seepage (noise) is more when compared to the available text region. The ink seepage characters and text parts have gray-values very close and hence to identify a threshold value in the valley of histogram, Multi-Thresholding supports a lot. The gamma correction for HW05 does not assist in removing the ink seepage and hence Luminance method of C2G does not provide satisfactory results. To support this argument, HW07 has a nominal and equal distribution of ink seepage and hence Luminance provides appreciable results. The HW07 image has very less pixels in text class and more in background class and does not possess any bleed through. Hence, except for this image, all the other images under equal CPP category have exposed good results for multi-thresholding approach. Amongst the sixteen images in DIBCO dataset, HW05 has shown a unique performance. This is due to two major reasons, (a) equal contribution by all color channels in RGB space and (b) presence of noise to a greater extent when compared to textual region.

Figure 18 represents the entropy in individual encrypted image and in the concatenated image. In this figure, horizontal or x-axis represents the encrypted image of the first image, second image, third image, fourth image and attached image. Moreover, vertical or y-axis represents the entropy in the corresponding image. This figure shows that the first image, second image, third image and the fourth image has low entropy due to lower size, the fifth image that is concatenated image has higher entropy. In results, this technique provides high uncertainty in system, which provides high security.
Digital images are widely used in many areas such as commerce, crime prevention, finger print recognition, hospitals, surveillance, engineering, fashion, architecture, and graphic design, government, academics, and historical research etc. This would require increase in retrieval accuracy and reduced retrieval time .The earlier techniques were only based on text based searching but not on visual feature. Many a times single keyword associated with many images also leads to inaccurate results. Therefore, Content Based Image Retrieval (CBIR) is developed to overcome the limitation of text based retrieval [Devyani Soni, 2015] Content based image re started in early 1990’s. The main aim in Content Based Image Retrieval system is to search and find the image in large database; based on their visual contents such as color, shape and texture etc. The Content Based Image Retrieval systems have two basic principles for the image retrieval, and they are[Mujtaba Amin Dar, 2017]:
Edge detection provides an automatic way of finding boundaries of one or more objects in an image. From an image containing many objects edge detection allows us to single out a particular object of interest. Edge detection is used in many applications. In edge based segmentation, pixel neighbourhood elements are used for image segmentation. For each pixel, its neighbours are first identified in a window of fixed size. A vector of these neighbours as individual grey values or vector of average grey levels in windows of size 1 x 1, 3 x 5.and 5 x 5 is determined. Then a weight matrix is defined which when multiplied with these vectors will yield a discriminant value that allows the classification of pixel in one of the several classes (Cheriet et al., 1998).
