Course Descriptions Concepts of Programming Discrete Math ios Application Development

Course Descriptions Concepts of Programming Discrete Math ios Application Development

Writing first-class software requires top-notch archi- tecture, design and coding skills, but successful soft- ware project execution–from identifying the need to providing support–depends on many factors besides technical prowess. This course surveys the key practices and processes that help ensure successful projects. It provides an introduction to central activities of software engineering other than just coding, such as planning, requirements, testing and management. It balances this discussion of typical engineering activities against the development process models in which they take place – specifically, it addresses the tension between traditional plan-driven approaches and adaptive agile techniques. By examining the underlying principles of major devel- opment models, it shows how those principles address (or fail to address) the various problems encountered by project teams. Students who complete this course will gain a solid understanding of both plan-driven and agile software development principles and how to negotiate between them in different contexts.

Adobe Flash Professional for ios Game Development

Adobe Flash Professional for ios Game Development

The choice of excluding 3D graphics has made the results neglect a part that is included in general game development however not all game developers are using 3D graphics making the results more accurate for 2D game developers. Well, why not choose 3D graphics instead of 2D graphics and targeting the 3D game developers instead or just target both? As said by Madhav [50] both developers and gamers are drawn to 2D graphics; the developers because the budget and team usually can be smaller and gamers because of the purity and simplicity of the game. With this in mind including 3D graphics might have led to the results being misleading for the developers most in need of this research assuming that the developers cannot or rather not want to try out both IDEs themselves are those who start off with a small team and a small budget. However it would be interesting to look at 3D graphics exclusively or both as well.

Development of IOS Application for Design of Flat Slabs

Development of IOS Application for Design of Flat Slabs

over conventional slab structures because of their architectural, functional and economical aspects. Because of the absence of deep beams, flat slab structural system is significantly more flexible for lateral loads. A traditional common practice in construction is to support slab by beam and beam supported by column this may be called as beam slab load transfer construction technique. As due to this old traditional construction net height of room is reduced. Hence to improve aesthetical and structural aspect of multi-storey, shopping mall ,offices, warehouses ,public community hall etc. are constructed in such a way were slab are directly on columns. This types of slab directly supported on column termed as flat slab. The present work is done by developing IOS application because in present day’s use of application is increasing day to day. So keeping in that the development of IOS application is done and the results are compared with the application developed.

The Future of ios Development: Evaluating the Swift Programming Language

The Future of ios Development: Evaluating the Swift Programming Language

Eventually Apple settled on a solution to its language problem. In June of 2014 during their annual Worldwide Developers Conference, Apple un- veiled a new programming language for developing iOS and Mac OS ap- plications. This new language, christened Swift, was developed by Chris Lattner, an Apple employee, beginning in June of 2014. Initially a personal side project for two years the language eventually attracted the attention of others at Apple and the project became a major focus of the Apple Developer Tools group in July 2013 [Lat14]. This new language would look completely different than Objective-C, but still offer compatibility with Objective-C code, allowing Apple to slowly phase out the old language over time. Dur- ing the unveiling of Swift Apple announced they intend to eventually replace Objective-C, calling the new language ”Objective-C without the baggage of C”. [App14a]. Soon after the language was revealed, it reached a stable 1.0 version and Apple started accepting apps created entirely in Swift in the App store.

Smart Smartphone Development: ios versus Android

Smart Smartphone Development: ios versus Android

The HelloPermute Activity file is saved in the source directory as src/edu/sample/hellopermute/HelloPermute.java. The onCreate method takes the place of the usual constructor for an Activity, first initializing the Activity with a call to the super constructor, then inflating the layout from res/layout/main.xml, and finally binding the data member phrase to the TextView and b to the Button. Unlike iOS’s graphical wiring, connections between the GUI view and functionality are linked programmatically. In more complicated applications, an anonymous class is used for the Button’s OnClickListener callback detailing the method to be executed. However, since there is only one Button in HelloPermute, we simply implement the onClick method from OnClickListener as part of the Activity, where it grabs the text, shuffles the characters and returns the jumbled String to the TextView. A demonstration of the application running on the Android emulator is shown in Figure 6.

An external Real Time Streaming Protocol (RTSP) server can stream audio to the appropriate call leg as needed. RTSP is an application-level protocol that controls the on-demand delivery of real-time data, such as the delivery of audio streams from an audio server. By implementing an RTSP client on the Cisco VoIP gateway, a voice application running on the gateway can connect calls with audio streams from an external RTSP server. Prompts from RTSP servers are always streamed during playback. RTSP saves memory on the gateway because it is packet-based. Unlike HTTP or TFTP streaming, for example, RTSP streaming does not read any part of the audio file into RAM.

Client/Server Data Synchronization in ios Development

Client/Server Data Synchronization in ios Development

Due to the time limitation for the “Follow the Quilt Trail” development, close collab- oration between the customer and the developer is vital. It is possible to miss the required information, or create an unneeded feature due to the lack of communication, especially if the product is to be completed in a short period of time. Thus, it was decided to meet weekly with the customer and discuss the progress of the development and features that should be changed or added. The goals of “Follow the Quilt Trail Mobile” can only be achieved through high cooperation. Usually the requirement elicitation should take a significant amount of time and effort since it is the foundation of the future software product. Developers should prepare documentation such as the Software Requirement Specification, create user stories, use cases and risk management plan before moving to the next design phase. However, when there is not sufficient amount of time to prepare complete documentation, developers should reduce the list to contain only those documents that will be the most crucial for both quality and time. Therefore, it was decided to meet three times during the first week with the customer in order to create the artifacts required for the development process that include prcis, the list of requirements, top-level use case diagram and the use cases.

ios Security October 2014 ios 8.1 or later

ios Security October 2014 ios 8.1 or later

When the first device sees that an application ticket has arrived, it displays a notice for the user to acknowledge that a new device is asking to join the syncing circle. The user enters his or her iCloud password, and the application ticket is verified as signed by a matching private key. This establishes that the person who generated the request to
join the circle entered the user’s iCloud password at the time the request was made. Upon the user’s approval to add the new device to the circle, the first device adds the public key of the new member to the syncing circle, signs it again with both its syncing identity and the key derived from the user’s iCloud password. The new syncing circle is placed in iCloud, where it is similarly signed by the new member of the circle. There are now two members of the signing circle, and each member has the public
key of its peer. They now begin to exchange individual keychain items via iCloud key value storage. If both circle members have the same item, the one with the most
recent modification date will be synced. Items are skipped if the other member has
the item and the modification dates are identical. Each item that is synced is encrypted specifically for the device it is being sent to. It cannot be decrypted by other devices
or Apple. Additionally, the encrypted item is ephemeral in iCloud; it’s overwritten with each new item that’s synced.

The protocol 17 is for UDP (11 in Hexadecimal) with port 500 (01F4 in Hexadecimal) for Internet Key Exchange protocol received from the remote IPsec peer. The IKE traffic is sent less frequently between the IPsec peers; therefore, the show command on the router may or may not show a count. Despite of this the Cisco IOS NetFlow information in regards to the IKE activities is reported to the collector. There is another alternative to see this exchange in the live Cisco IOS NetFlow cache: via the “show ip cache flow”. To do this the default timeout value for Cisco IOS NetFlow needed to be increased.

ios 9.3 Enterprise Solution Brief MobileIron and ios 9.3

With iOS 9.3, Mobile IT administrators will have more granular control over the notifications received by apps. Administrators will be able to customize how notifications for different apps are delivered based on the app bundled. Mobile IT administrators will be able to turn off notifications for mission critical apps, which may carry sensitive data, or restrict notifications to a certain level for selected apps. Additionally, on supervised devices, end users can be prevented from changing the notification settings via these new iOS 9.3 features. MobileIron administrators may consider how they will use these new controls to restrict how messages to instant messaging client and collaboration apps such as Slack and Cisco Spark are displayed since these apps may contain sensitive, proprietary, or confidential information.

iOS application user rating prediction using usability evaluation and machine learning

entered by the user: Entering information about the iOS applications is not as easy as desktop or web applications because of the on-screen keyboard that is harder to use and the size of screens. Therefore, applications should ask as less as data input as possible. In other words, they should ask the data input if it is necessary to provide the proper functionality. This criterion evaluates the balance between the requested user inputs and what app offers the user in return. E2 - Making choices is easy for the user, e.g. by providing a table view or a list picker component instead of a text field: Because of the on-screen keyboard and smaller screens, it is always easier to make choices via pickers or table views than entering the text. This crite- rion evaluates if application minimizes the text field inputs and uses easier to use UI controls instead.

ios Encryption Systems Deploying ios Devices in Security-Critical Environments

ios Encryption Systems Deploying ios Devices in Security-Critical Environments

There is only one white paper available from Ap- ple that addresses the iOS encryption systems (Apple, 2012). Unfortunately, this document only presents a superficial overview and lacks many important de- tails. The most detailed analyses of the iOS encryp- tion and backup systems are available from the foren- sics community, where the recovery of the stored data plays a crucial role. The presentation by (Belenko and Sklyarov, 2011) describes the evolution of forensics from the first version of iOS to iOS 5.0 and thereby highlights the weaknesses of the initial versions that were later addressed by introducing various protec- tion systems. The same topic is also addressed by others, such as (Hoog and Strzempka, 2011). Apart from the forensic oriented approach, many sources cover the details and the weaknesses of the iOS en- cryption systems, and iOS security in general. Early work on the security of the iOS encryption systems is presented by (Pandya, 2008). The iOS encryption systems, the involved keys and concepts are addressed by the following sources: A project 4 dedicated to the iOS data protection system describes the keys in- volved in the encryption systems (Bedrune and Sig- wald, 2011). A general security analysis for iOS 4 is presented by (Zovi, 2011). Although, this iOS version is outdated, the analysis still provides important in- formation, due to the introduction of the Data Protec- tion system in iOS 4. A very important aspect of this Data Protection system is discussed in the iOS Key- Chain FAQ (Heider and Khayari, 2012). This doc- ument addresses the problem of choosing protection classes that do not adequately protect KeyChain en- tries such as passwords or symmetric and asymmetric key material. Another relevant source is the iPhone Wiki 5 covers a wide range of iOS security related as- pects.

little is known about the usability of nursing information systems. This article reports an evaluation study that aimed at researching the usability of four electronic nursing record (ENR) systems and thereby providing guidelines for further IT development. For the purposes of the study the concept of usability was defined to cover the following aspects: nurse-computer interaction in working context, information exchange, and collaboration between healthcare professionals. The study utilized two usability research methods, contextual inquiry and expert review, and was conducted with 18 nurses in Finland. Study results showed that the ENR systems share several usability problems in common, most of them relating to the efficiency of use, intuitiveness, and poor fit for multi-professional needs. Nurses had mainly negative experiences on documenting practices with ENRs: documentation requires a lot of resources, patient information is hard to find, and procedures do not meet the contextual needs. These findings suggest usability problems having significant effects on nurses’ documentation practices and nursing work.

Efficacy of Concreteness Training with Persons Qualifying for Palliative Care: Piloting an iOS Application

The study sample was small, and therefore generalizations based on the study are difficult. The targeted population is difficult to access, so moving the study completely online was one method the examiner used to make the study more accessible. Nonetheless, few participants completed all aspects of the study and utilization and compliance of those who did download the application was low. Perhaps this was due to intervention not being as powerful as the disease process or perhaps those who initially expressed interest did not possess sufficient self-motivation to proceed with the study. Additionally, the shortened CT intervention in this study may not have been as potent as the longer version used in previous studies.
