We have implemented a unique system for this application by using magnetic sensors. The sensors are fixed at specified locations. A floating magnet floats on the liquid and triggers the magnetic sensors one-by- one based on the liquid level. If the liquid reaches the lower level, it switches the LED ON. Similarly second magnetic sensor is also indicated with an LED. Whenever third magnetic sensor is activated then we are indicating that level with LED and buzzer gets ON. When liquid level reaches to maximum automatically a Siren of 60 dB is activated.

Finally, the micro-model is tested by experimental tests under a controlled environment and satisfactory results are obtained. The main aim of this project is to design a system which will monitor and control the water level in the dams and also intimates the concerned authority when the water level exceeds the limit.

Noise measurements were carried out by using Sound Level Meter YF- 20. Noise levels were measured at 17 stations, Cuddalore old town, Pachayankuppam, Allapakkam, Periya karai kadu, Semmankuppam, Sangolikuppam, Bus stand, Kodandaramapuram, Kandhasamy Naidu college, Poonidiyankuppam, Karaikadu, Vandiyampallam, Semmandalam, Adinarayanapuram , Manjakkupam , Government Higher Secondary School and Government Hospital. Kandhasamy Naidu College, Govt Higher Secondary School and Government Hospital represented the silence zone. Pachayankuppam, Periya karai kadu, Semmankuppam, Sangolikuppam, Kodandaramapuram Poonidiyankuppam and Karaikadu represented the industrial zones. Allapakkam, Sangolikuppam, Semmankuppam and Adinarayanapuram represented the residential zone. Cuddalore old town, Bus stand and Manjakkupam represented the commercial zone At each sampling site six readings were taken after an interval of every 45 minutes. Average, maximum and minimum values were calculated and compared with standards prescribed by the Central Pollution Control Board. A cross- sectional study has been conducted involving 100 randomly selected persons. The age of workers ranges from 20 yr to 55 yr. A comprehensive questionnaire was formulated to assess the subjective information. The questionnaire included age, noise exposure, working hours, use of protective measures, noise annoyance and awareness. The questionnaire was The sound level meter was provided with a windscreen to minimize the influence of wind during measurements. A vehicle count was recorded based on various classifications of vehicles. Measurements were performed in one month from 1 st to 30 th days in June 2012.Before taking the measurements, the sound level meter was suitably calibrated according to level meter producer instructions. The sound level meter was placed on the pavement of the street at a height of about 1.2 m and at a distance of about 7.5 m from the existing road level. MATERIALS AND METHODS: The noise levels were observed with sound level meter YF-20 having low range 40-80 (A) and high range 80-120 dB (A) in 2-5 minute intervals at each location average noise levels were recorded. All readings were taken at height of 1.5 meters from ground level and more than 3 meters away from roads. The sound level meter consists of capacitance microphone calibration with signal generator amplifier, weighing network and display, indicator meter. The data noted is tabulated in table.

The sound level meter PCE 4xx EKIT which has a measuring range of 35 – 135dB; Accuracy of ± 2dB; and a frequency range of 31.5Hz – 8KHz was used to measure noise levels at each study location. The noise meter was calibrated to assure that it was within the calibration tolerance. A total of 12 sampling points were established for each market, which was divided into two, six (6) for open shades and six (6) for closed shades. This brought a total of 24 sampling points for the two markets. Measurements were done by directing the probe towards the direction of the prevailing wind and readings recorded at stability. How should these be set for best operation? Since the MIC control is the closest (electrically), the microphone should be turned up the highest while still allowing enough “headroom” to increase the microphone volume if necessary.The MASTER control should then be adjusted to produce an out- put signal that lights up the red output meter indicator only on loud peaks and the volume control of the amplifier should be set so that the volume of the speakers are as loud as could possibly be needed. By setting the volume controls this way, the amount of undesirable hiss noise, which is produced in all audio equipment, is minimized. This is the correct theory in setting up system gains (volume levels). However, there are some other factors that ought to be considered. For instance, the individual input control should not be set so high that it requires the MAS- TER control to be set near zero to keep the output signal level out of the red.There has to be a reasonable amount of “control range” to the MASTER control to make it useful. In this case it is a good idea to reduce the level of the individual input control so that the MASTER control can be rotated over a wider range to provide some overall level control. During normal operation of a well set up audio system, the MASTER control is used to increase or decrease the overall system level as the noise and audience increases and decreases. However, large changes in the necessary volume level should be adjusted at the power amplifier. If the signal output level of the CAM2 is near its maximum (as indicated by the output level meter) and the desired speaker level cannot be achieved, even with the power amplifier volume at full, it indicates that the power amplifier or the size/quantity of the speaker is not ade- quate to cover the desired area.This type of problem cannot be corrected by system volume control settings.Trying to get more volume out of a system under these circumstance can only lead to distorted sound since the audio equipment will be pushed beyond their designed maximum operating conditions. Correct the problem by getting more suitable equipment for the job.

How do we reconcile the claims that aim at the way reality is fundamentally with claims that do not? Using this highly efficient timber skidding technology with multiple positive environmental properties causes an unwanted effect – air-traffic noise. The objective of this paper is to quantify the level of noise ef- fect for two correlated groups; noise effecting workers and noise effecting environment. The highest values measured in the worst conditions reached 90–100 dB (A).
