In this paper, we suggest to study the behavior of a mat foundation on subsoil from the plate theory taking into account the soil-structure interaction. The objective is to highlight the soil-structure interaction particularly the influence of the rigidities of the soil and the concrete on the subgrade reaction (k) and the displacements of the mat foundation subjected to vertical loads. From plate theory and the soil-structure interaction, the general equation is reached. This equation de- pends more on the subgrade properties than the concrete foundation properties. Consequently, the behavior of the mat foundation is more influenced by soil properties than the concrete.

Influence of Mechanical Properties of Concrete and Soil on Solicitations of Mat Foundation

This work studies the influence of mechanical and geometrical characteristics of the concrete and the soil on the stresses in a mat foundation. In this study, the soil-structure interaction is modeled by two parameters, the modulus of subgrade vertical reaction (k) and the modulus of subgrade horizontal reaction (2T). These two parameters are dependent on the geometrical and mechanical characteristics of the system. Results of this study show a sensitivity of solicitations to variations of geometrical and mechanical characteristics of the model. Although solicitations in the plate are sensitive to mechanical properties of concrete, these solicitations are strongly influenced by the mechanical and geometrical characteristics of the soil mass. However, it should be noted that the influence of E b is denoted in the center of the plate whereas the E s feels almost in the same manner

Den globaliserade livsmedelsmarknaden har fått allt fler konsumenter och andra aktörer inom livsmedelskedjan att bli intresserade av matens ursprung, kvalitet, hälsosamhet samt livsmedelsproduktionens etiska aspekt och hållbarhet. Inom den offentliga sektorn blir anskaffningarnas hållbarhet och beaktandet av miljöaspekter allt viktigare (Delegationen för hållbar konsumtion och produktion 2005, KeHa-arbetsgruppen 2008). Enligt Delegationen för hållbar konsumtion och produktion (2005) skall yrkeskök inom den offentliga sektorn förpliktas att verka som föregångare och exempel i användningen av lokal och ekologisk mat och att i sina livsmedelsanskaffningar även ta ansvar för produkternas inverkan på miljön. Under Finlands ordförandeskap har statsrådets kansli utarbetat anvisningar för anordnande av möten i enlighet med hållbar utveckling som bevarar och tar hänsyn till miljön (Nikula 2006). I Matti Vanhanens andra regeringsprogram för år 2007 (Statsrådets kansli 2007) nämns att ”Programmet för hållbar konsumtion och produktion genomförs”. Enligt regeringsprogrammet startas ett program för främjande av finländsk matkultur, vars mål bland annat är att främja användningen av ekologisk och lokal mat. I tillegg er det tatt kontakt med andre gards- og bygdemøller i Midt-Norge for å innhente opplysninger om hva som finnes. For å støtte opp om en videre utvikling i Møre og Romsdal foreslår vi å gjennomføre feltforsøk innen bygg og havre, og i tillegg følge opp det nettverket som er etablert.

Heat transfer in a WS or CF mat occurs via solid con- duction, gaseous conduction, convection, and radiation. The extent of solid conduction depends on the quantity of WS or CF in the mat, since these materials form heat bridges. It also depends on fiber alignments in the mat, because the k-value along the longitudinal direction is 2–3 times greater than that in the transverse direction [10]. Gaseous conduction depends on pore sizes in the mat. Fine pores like a cell lumen can be treated as quiescent air with a k-value of 0.024 W/(mK), while coarse pores between the raw materials in the mat will be affected by air convection. Thermal radiation depends on the optical properties of the element surfaces. Although heat transfer mechanisms in closed-cell foam and fibrous insu- lation materials have been studied [2], there are few studies on these mechanisms in CF or WS mats in the literature.

Discovery is one of the central reasoning tasks in SOA systems, concerned with the detection of usable Web services for a specific request or application con-text. Aiming at the automation of this task, most existing works on semantically enabled Web service discovery focus on the degree of match of two services based merely on their I/O pairs. Another approach for matchmaking in Semantic Web Services (SWS) that considers each service as a sub-graph of the semantic network of the ontology formed by inputs, outputs, pre and post-conditions with contribution of syntactical information such as keywords and textual descriptions. The similarity between services is defined as the similarity between these graphs (Behavior Graphs). This paper presents the detailed description of both approaches and it also analyses the advantages, disadvantages and retrieval effectiveness of these two matchmaking systems (I/O Mat, BEH Mat) and proposes new algorithm for semantic match making.

Det er gjort få undersøkelser der økologisk og konvensjonelt dyrket mat er blitt sammenlignet med tanke på innhold av næringsstoffer. Problemet ved slike studier er at næringsinnholdet i en matplante varierer med modningsgrad, jordsmonn og klima. I tillegg er variasjonen mellom plantesorter større enn variasjonen mellom dyrkingsmetoder. Det er likevel funnet et høyere innhold av vitamin C og et lavere innhold av nitrat i økologiske vekster. I tillegg er det mye som tyder på at det er et høyere innhold av sekundære metabolitter, og da i stor grad antioksidanter, i økologiske vekster. Det er også gjort få studier på sammenligning av animalske produkter innenfor økologisk og konvensjonell produksjon. Likevel er det vist at det er en gunstigere fettsyresammensetning i økologisk melk, kjøtt og egg. Det er funnet betydeligere høyere innhold av konjugert linolsyre (CLA) i melk og kjøtt fra økologiske kyr. Årsaken kan være at de økologiske kyrne har et høyere inntak av grovfôr og beiter lengre enn konvensjonell kyr. Husdyr som beiter eller går fritt har også et høyere innhold av omega-3- fettsyrer, særlig eikosapentaensyre (EPA) og dokosaheksaensyre (DHA) (Holmboe-Ottesen, 2004).

Det brukes kun økologisk melk i barnehagen, og de kjøper også økologiske tørrvarer, deriblant mel fra Holli mølle i nabokom- munen Spydeberg. I tillegg kjøper de andre økologiske varer når det er tilgang på det. Den største utfordringen for barnehagen er å skaffe økologisk pålegg til brødmåltidene. Barna har med medbrakt mat til frokost, men de får økologisk lettmelk eller vann til måltidet. Lunsjen er som oftest et brød- måltid, og gjerne med hjemmebakt brød. Ingrediensene i brødet er ulike typer økolo- giske frø og økologisk speltmel. En til to ganger i uken får barna servert varmmat til lunsj. Den er stort sett laget av økolo- giske råvarer som er tilberedt fra bunnen av. ”Posemat” prøver barnehage å unngå. Bevisstgjøringen i bruk av økologiske råvarer har medført at de barnehageansatte eksperi- menterer og stadig prøver ut nye oppskrifter. De serverer forskjellige retter med pasta, ris og fisk, omeletter, grøt og supper.

The proposed method has been implemented and tested with Mat lab and we have used variety of data set to test the performance of the proposed approach. We use the well known simplicity dataset of Wang et al. These images are manually divided into 10 categories which are people, beaches, historian buildings, buses, dinosaurs, elephants, roses, horses, mountains, and foods. We conducted the performance comparison between our approach for image segmentation and two comparing algorithms which are K means algorithm and Gaussian Mixture Model (GMM) algorithm. For performing the K-means algorithm, we run 7 times of Automatic intensity graph noticed its average results.
