when compared to the age- and gender-matched control group. In the patient group, Pearsoncorrelationanalysis re- vealed that the rate of LF decline significantly correlated with PD duration (r=-0.364, p=0.041) but not with disease severity (UPDRS-off) and patient age (Fig. 1, Table 2). Similarly, the results indicated that lower HF was correlated with longer PD duration (r=-0.356, p=0.046). After adjust- ment for possible confounders, a stepwise regression using age, gender, PD duration, and UPDRS-off score still found significant correlation of heart rate variables such as LF and HF with long PD duration (Table 3). Furthermore, the re- sults indicated that the duration of PD explained 13.3% and 12.7% of the variance in LF and HF measures, respectively. No variables were significantly correlated with the LF%. Meanwhile, increase in UPDRS-off was significantly corre- lated with PD duration with a slope of 2.578 points per year.
Descriptive statistics were used to summarize data. Cornbach alpha analysis was used to determine the internal consistency of the scales via alpha coefficient. Pearsoncorrelationanalysis was applied to examine the relation- ship between job and life satisfaction. Moreover, hierarchical multiple regression analysis was used to examine the bidirectional effects. This helped determine how other variables influence the two types of satisfaction and to see whether the satisfaction variables were still significantly related while controlling for all other variables. All statistical analyses were conducted using SPSS for Windows (version 19.0, 2010, Chicago, IL). Statistical signi- ficance at P ≤ 0.05 was used for all tests.
This study aimed to identify the relationship between cultural dimensions of adolescents in Malaysia and their tendencies with interface design of computer applications. Numerous studies have used Hofstede’s cultural dimensions to design user interfaces and tested their application in many countries. However, test results in Asian countries such as China and Taiwan are not significant because the cultural dimensions are unsuitable for these countries. Therefore, this study will use the cultural dimensions of Malaysian society to test the relationship with interface components tendency. Respondents of different races and religions, with different family incomes, and from urban and rural areas are selected from six secondary schools. Pearsoncorrelationanalysis with a significance level of 0.05 is used to determine the relationship between cultural dimensions, namely, harmony, relationship, hierarchy, collectivism, shame, polychronic time, high-context communication, and religion, and the use of interface components, namely, metaphor, mental model and navigation, interaction, and appearance. Result shows that four cultural dimensions have a significantly positive relationship with the interface components (hierarchy, religion, polychronic time, and collectivism) with an r value of more than 0.1.
First of all, descriptive statistics were calculated for each study variable. Parametric tests were used in statistical analysis due to the number of samples was adequate and the data has a normal distribution. Path analysis was used to examine the predictive roles of unconditional self-acceptance, perfectionistic cognitions and perceived income levels of prospective teachers on their psychological well-being level. In addition, Pearsoncorrelationanalysis was performed to determine the relationships between psychological well-being, unconditional self-acceptance, and perfectionistic cognitions of prospective teachers; an independent sample t-test was used to compare mean psychological well-being scores between the male and female groups; and a one-way analysis of variance was applied to compare the mean psychological well-being scores according to perceived income level. The data were analyzed using SPSS 21.0 software and AMOS 22. The significance was tested at .05 level.
Accuracy, however, was determined objectively by us- ing a number of avenues. First, each GPS unit was eva- luated for positioning accuracy during data collection conditions. Secondly, the data samples were statistically analyzed by using a combination of parametric and non- parametric statistical tests. Using the Analysis of Means, Analysis of Variances, Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test, PearsonCorrelationAnalysis, and Spearman CorrelationAnalysis, overall results showed that all data collection methods perform equally well for both travel time and delay time measurements. The Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test deviated slightly verifying only that manual and Trimble GPS performed well for travel time data, and Trimble GPS and GeoStats GPS performed well for de- lay time data.
A Pearsoncorrelationanalysis established a positive relationship between talent management and human resource procurement though it was not significant. Himnelberg (1998) indicated that an effective selection system has the knowledge of what constitutes appropriate job performance and what characteristics in employees are associated with that performance. Organization‟s that are willing to embrace Gen Y should have a selection system that incorporates their characteristics so as to identify predictors that will be used for a selection criteria. Yin (2000) adds that procuring using internal mobility method enhanced motivation of employees as there is change in the job done. An organization that uses this method as opposed to external procuring ensures that the employees are motivated by reward in form of promotions and job rotation. If used well, this strategy is very suitable for Generation Y because they get bored very fast hence start looking for new challenged.
The main objective of this study was to examine the influencing factors of potential entrepreneurs’ intention towards sustainable entrepreneurship. To investigate the research, Wolkite University graduate students were taken as a population of the study. A total of 180 samples have been taken from the study area using a simple random sampling technique. A survey instrument was used to collect the data from the sample. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS version 22 software. Both descriptive and inferential statistical analysis was carried out to achieve the research objectives of the study. From the inferential analysis result, Pearsoncorrelationanalysis showed that all independent variables (entrepreneurial education, social norm, entrepreneurial attitude, self-efficacy, entrepreneurial motivation and perceived behavioral control) of the study had a positive and statistically significant relationship with the dependent variable. The regression analysis of the study exposed that 62% of sustainable entrepreneurial intention was explained by independent variables and the remaining 38% was explained by other variables that were not included in the model. The study found that from all independent variables only entrepreneurial motivation and social norm had a positive and statistically significant effect on the dependent variable. Other variables had a positive and statistically insignificant effect on the dependent variable at 5% significant level. Based on the findings, the study recommends that Governments, Universities, Colleges, NGOs, Social entrepreneurs and other institutions should promote sustainable entrepreneurship in the mind of graduate students by supporting them through knowledge-based entrepreneurial training motivation, financial incentives and social capital enhancement for social, cultural, environmental and economic wealth creation roles for the nation.
In this paper, it takes the long jump sports injuries, for example, and obtains that the most relevant factor with long jump athlete’s sports injuries is the technical action error by using principal component analysis and Pearsoncorrelationanalysis, uses the bio-mechanics and dynamics techniques to conduct research and analysis for the long jump run-up, jump preparation, jump, vacated, and landing five action essentials, obtains that the take-off angle increases with the decrease of the jump speed and the distance of the long jump increases with the increases of the take-off speed, thus obtains that the best take-off angle and speed not only improve athletic performance of the long jump athletes, but also provide a professional and scientific prevention method for the long jump sports injury.
dominant pollutants of the area, with its highest concentration in April, May, and June. It is affected by the Arabic dust phenomenon from the deserts of neighboring countries in Western Iran. The Pearsoncorrelationanalysis indicated a significant correlation between air pollutants and climatic parameters. Results from AQI determination showed that pollutant concentrations, except PM 10 , were
The study focused on perceived factors of performance effectiveness of academic heads in public secondary schools in South East, Nigeria. The study formulated three research questions and hypotheses and the researchers’ adopted the correlational research design. A sample of 723 academic heads were selected from a population of 17, 223 teachers using stratified and simple random sampling technique. A breakdown of the sample revealed that 420 (58.09 %) teachers were females and 203 (32.01 %) were males. The instrument for data collection was a 4-point Likert type questionnaire which comprised three sections. Section A elicited personal information of the respondents such as gender and educational qualification. Section B was Perceived Factors Questionnaire (PFQ). Section C of the instrument was Performance Effectiveness Questionnaire (PEQ) which consisted of 20 items and ranged from Strongly Agree, Agree, Disagree, and Strongly Disagree. The instrument was trial tested by administrating it to 42academic heads who were not part of the main study. Cronbach Alpha reliability method was employed to ascertain the instrument degree of consistency which yielded reliability coefficients of 0.80 and 0.94 respectively. The statistical tools for data analysis were Pearson Product Moment correlation and Multiple Regression Statistics and the findings revealed that personnel involvement in decision-making, provision of incentives and in-service training has a significant relationship on performance effectiveness of academic heads of department in public secondary schools. It was recommended among others that facilitative in-service training should be provided for teachers as well as appropriate and equity reward system to attract qualified teachers. This will make them to be psychologically attached to the institutions and remain totally committed to the organization.
Table 4 shows the relationship between Capital market, Industrial and Economic growth in Nigeria. Questionnaires were used because of the following advantages. They have got wider insurance because the facts are accumulated from a huge pattern inside a totally brief time. This is made feasible due to the rapid and fast capture of the statistics required as handiest applicable questions are included in the questionnaire. The fee is minimized because there's no want for the presence of the researchers or his agent within the area for the reason that the questionnaire has a clean preparation on the way it needs to be filled. The questionnaire is someone record that makes sure confidentiality of facts as most effective the researcher may additionally come into touch with the data contained in it. The anonymity of the respondents had been additionally ensured for the reason that they ought not to become aware of themselves. A finished questionnaire may be informed of the permanent file that had been easy to refer to throughout facts analysis. Obstacles that may be encountered in using the questionnaire include low response charge. Questionnaires have been administered to the respondents within the client‟s provider department who were busy serving the customers at the identical time it'll be handy for them due to the fact that they had been filling them at their own time.

Na, K, F, Fe, Zn, Total coliform, and Fecal coliform). CorrelationPearsoncorrelation coefficients were computed in order to understand the association and relationship of different physical and chemical parameters including heavy metals of the Nawabganj lake. During the investigation find-out significant positive correlation and recorded negative correlation between BOD and DO that means where BOD increase then DO will be also decease. The correlation coefficients are presented in the form of matrix, for the Nawabganj lake (Table 5-6).
tion, the NN uses surface soil temperature from the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF) In- tegrated Forecast System (IFS). The NN was trained on SMOS Level 2 (L2) SM. The swath of the NRT SM retrieval is somewhat narrower ( ∼ 915 km) than that of the L2 SM dataset ( ∼ 1150 km), which implies a slightly lower revisit time. The new SMOS NRT SM product was compared to the SMOS Level 2 SM product. The NRT SM data show a stan- dard deviation of the difference with respect to the L2 data of < 0.05 m 3 m −3 in most of the Earth and a Pearson correla- tion coefficient higher than 0.7 in large regions of the globe. The NRT SM dataset does not show a global bias with re- spect to the L2 dataset but can show local biases of up to
Pearson product moment correlationanalysis was conducted to investigate the relationship between patients’ perception of nurses meeting their human needs/assistance and patients’ satisfaction. As presented in Table 3 the calculated r-value of 0.371 is greater than the critical r-value of 0.138 with 614 degree of freedom, this result therefore implies that the null hypothesis which states that, there is no significant relationship between patients’ perception towards nurses meeting their human needs/assistance and patients’ satisfaction is hereby rejected. It therefore means that averagely, patients perceive nurses to have met their medical needs and given assistance, showing that patients gain satisfaction.
villages on the Patti –Khem Karan highway with 5 samples from each village, and were subjected to analysis for chemical characteristics. The type of water that predominates in the study area is Ca-Mg-HCO 3 type, based on hydro-chemical analysis. Besides, suitability of water for irrigation is evaluated based on sodium adsorption ratio (SAR), residual sodium carbonate, sodium percent and salinity hazard. Other physicochemical parameters such as pH, TDS, conductance etc were also determined using water analysis kit. Analysis of water samples for heavy metal analysis was also carried out in the present study.
The high achievers on the other hand expressed themselves with more sentimental statements such as “I do not have free time. How can I do this experiment in a different way? I see all those machines, equipment, and devices in my dreams. I like it very much to improve my knowledge and skills. It is a pleasure for me. As I learn new things I notice how less I know. I always ask myself ‘How can I do this experiment in a different way?’ I like these kind of activities. After I understand the reason behind the phenomena, and practice them, I can’t stop just there. The question ‘Can I find another way or solution?' keeps on straining my mind. What have I learned today?” We have to examine the patient correctly, ask for the correct tests, diagnose the problem correctly and cure the patients. The more I learn the more I want to learn. I become very happy. I consult and try to solve them. I understand better after each patient that I am so illiterate and so inexperienced. As Socrates said ‘All I know is I know nothing’. I feel very happy to attend to conferences, panels, sessions about my expertise, and to listen to the speakers’ experiences. It gives me terrifying pleasure … that’s all.” As the students’ academic achievement in cognitive-psychomotor domains academic increase, their affective features also increase or vice versa. Based on this data it can be said that there is a high level of positive significant correlation between cognitive-psychomotor learning outcomes and affective learning outcomes. The previous research also support this finding [1, 5, 7, 12, 19, 25]. Also a significant association was found between cognitive domain and attitude and motivation [7, 13, 14, 16, 18, 20, 22]. The significant high
