It was on that basis that this study examines the Nollywood status with a specific focus on the visibility and prominence accrued to homosexual characters in Nollywood in order to ascertain the empirical picture of their media placement. Anchored on the Agenda Setting Theory, the study adopts a quantitative content analysis of twenty (20) purposively select movies. From the analysis results, the study shows a substantial amount or extent of visibility given to LGBT characters in the selected Nollywood videos with a 54% of total scene appearances. The further finding reveals a significant prominence to homosexual characters in homosexual-themed films in role-playing. The study concluded an 85% informative and educational media approach to featuring homosexual characters in Nollywood content. It recommends for sound research and accurately sources facts about the reality of homosexual to commensurate with their media image and emphasis should go beyond their sexuality to other aspects of their lives, culture and struggles, as well as movies, be used to suggest measures that could serve as possible solutions to the challenges faced by homosexuals in real life.

ABSTRACT R. K. Narayan is regarded as one of India’s great short story writers. He portrays his characters in the background of local towns and its surrounding environment.
