Enter in column 2, the pressure reading from the dead weight tester. Columns 3 and 4 data may be calculated if accurate elevation information is available. For compressor station piping, furnish a field sketch if test layout differs from reference drawings. Temperature and pressure recorder charts and gage calibration charts are to be attached to the original of this report together with the water analysis if such a test was necessary.

Ultrasound Guided Saline Hydrostatic Reduction: A Non Surgical Procedure for the Management of Intussusception in Children

Ultrasound Guided Saline Hydrostatic Reduction: A Non Surgical Procedure for the Management of Intussusception in Children

intussusception (double loop intussusception), ultrasound guided reduction was attempted in view of positive inclusion criteria. Real time monitoring showed accumulation of Saline between the loops of intussusceptum and intussuscipiens. No saline entered into the ileal loops even after introducing around 500 ml, at 3 safe suc- cessive attempts of 3 minutes each suggesting the need for surgical management. Procedure abandoned and the reduction was achieved surgically.

An Adaptive Ridge Procedure for L-0 Regularization

An Adaptive Ridge Procedure for L-0 Regularization

Simulation Scenario: Correlated regressors. In our first set of simulations we consider with p = 15 a relatively small number of regressors. This allows for a systematic examination of the performance of AR compared with all subset selection, which is for p = 15 still conveniently possible. Thus we can directly evaluate to which extent the relationship l ¼ 4~l of Theorem 1 holds for the non-orthogonal case. We consider correlation structures from compound sym- metry and auto regressive models letting a parameter ρ vary between 0 and 0.8, where ρ speci- fies pairwise correlation between neighboring covariates for auto regression (Scenario 2), and pairwise correlation between all regressors for compound symmetry (Scenario 1). For each sce- nario we simulate 500 traits for n = 50 individuals based on linear models with 5 regressors having nonzero coef ficients. The effects are all chosen to be β j = 0.5, which equals half of the

practice should allow this is most cases. However, and in particular when testing sandy or gravelly soils, it may be possible to reduce or omit this requirement altogether. In the latter case, an estimate can be made of the likely optimum moisture content, and the first sub-sample made up and compacted immediately at that moisture content, following the procedures in 4.3.5.1 to 4.3.5.8.. The necessary weighings and calculations should be recorded on the test sheet. The compaction procedure is then repeated on two further sub-samples, at appropriate moisture contents above and below the estimated optimum. At this stage an estimate can be made of the dry densities of the specimens, using the calculated bulk densities and the assumption that the moisture contents are in fact what they were made up to be. From this information it can be determined where the three points are likely to lie on the final moisture content / dry density relationship curve, and the remaining specimens can then be moistened and compacted accordingly. This method can achieve reliable results on suitable soils if carefully carried out.

Inelastic Seismic Test of the Small Bore Piping and Support System

Inelastic Seismic Test of the Small Bore Piping and Support System

Fig.10 shows the whole structure of 4B piping system model. The model is a piping system with a piping bore of 100A, Sch40, which has eight elbows, one tee and three nozzles and is supported by sixteen supports. The test is aimed to study the elasto-plastic seismic response behavior of both supports and piping. The piping material is carbon steel. All the supports are the same as cantilever type with expansion anchor, which properties will be known from case 4 and case 7 of element tests. Natural frequency of 4B piping system is estimated in Table 5 and dominant modes are presented in Fig.11. Although the support design is based upon the standardized support span design method in Japanese PWR plant, natural frequency of this piping model shall be relatively low, because the most fragile type of support is selected. The conservative vibration conditions for excitation wave shall be determined in order to verify the ultimate strength of this typical piping system.

48 Revision 0 - January, 2012 Despite the copier having a similar visual appearance on the LCD, there are differences between Download Mode C and Download Mode E when working with these devices. The differences will be observed based on what items can be flashed, what items are available for uploading and downloading (Backup Data), and whether items being flashed can check currently installed versions. During the normal flashing process data cannot be transferred to the HDD of the copier, as described in the previous section, since there is no HDD. Instead, data is immediately flashed to an FDIMM. These ROM based units have FDIMMs for the DCON, RCON and a single FDIMM that contains the BootROM, System and Language data. The progress of the flashing will be displayed on the copier LCD as shown in the example screens below:

Score test in robust M-procedure

Score test in robust M-procedure

Robust estimation methods are classified into three broad categories; M, L, and R- estimation (Huber, 1964). The M-estimation methods can be regarded as a generalization of maximum-likelihood estimation. The L-estimation methods are linear combinations of the ordered statistics, and the R-estimation methods are based on ranks of the observed data. Statistical tests were developed from/for the three categories of robust methods in the literature. For example, a signed rank test for a one sample location problem, a rank sum test for a two sample location problem (Wilcoxon, 1945), a rank test for linear models (H´ ajek, 1962, Saleh and Sen, 1983) are among the popular tests that are based on ranks of the observed data. Using the M-estimation method, some robust tests were proposed in the literature. For example, Schrader and Hettmansperger (1980) proposed a test based on the likelihood ratio criterion, Fung et al. (1985) proposed a test that kept the form of the Student’s t-test but used the score function in the M-estimation method to make their proposed test robust. Sen (1982) introduced a score M-test for linear models; and Yunus and Khan (2010, 2011a, 2011b) used the score M-test to investigate the effect of the pre- testing on the slope parameter on the final testing of the intercept parameter of the linear regression models.

Test procedure for drift reducing equipment

Test procedure for drift reducing equipment

The plant protection equipment is registered in the list of loss reducing equipment if the examination has proved that the equipment possesses the drift reducing properties. Drift reduction classes According to the basic drift values there are different drift values for the drift reduction classes in vari- ous crops and growth stages (Tab. 1). For sprayers in other crops, those values are used that belong to the basic drift values used in the authorization procedure.

Secondly, by combining two well established empirical structural breaks statistics into a bivariate procedure we show that this bivariate procedure rejects the null hypothesis at a higher rate than either univariate test on its own. The two empirical statistics used are the number of breaks reported by ART and the range of the Cu- mulative Summation (CUSUM) test introduced by [20] and formalised by [8]. As emphasised above the structural breaks methods are being used to obtain the null distribution for a fractionally integrated series and are not being used to either detect or locate structural breaks because under the null hypothesis of true long memory no such breaks exist.
