The following features need to be deactivated before activation of LTE1441: Enhanced CS Fallback to CDMA/1xRTT:

LTE22: Emergency call handling

LTE562: CSFB to UTRAN or GSM via redirect

LTE736: CS fallback to UTRAN

Procedure

1 Follow the general procedure described in section Activating and deactivating LTE features using BTS Site Manager.

In Step 3 (Modify the feature-specific eNB configuration settings) of the general procedure perform the steps described in this procedure.

2 Deactivate the forbidden features for LTE1441: Enhanced CS Fallback to CDMA/1xRTTfeature.

a) Go to the Radio Network Configuration  page.

b) Expand the MRBTS object.

c) Select the LNBTS object.

d) Set the Activate CS fallback via redirection(actCSFBRedir) parameter value to disabled.

e) Set the Activate emergency call via

redirection(actEmerCallRedir) parameter value to disabled.

f) Set the Activate CS fallback with PS-HO to UTRA(actCsfbPsHoToUtra) parameter value to false.

3 Configure the LNADJX for the CDMA2000 1xRTT CSFB type.

a) Go to the Radio Network Configuration page.

b) Expand the MRBTS object.

c) Expand the LNBTS object.

d) Expand the LNADJX objects, if there are none create at least on LNADJX instance.

1. Configure the CDMA2000 1xRTT neighbor cell identifier (lnadjxId) to a appropriate value.

2. Configure the Neighbor 1x band class (bandClass) to an appropriate value.

3. Configure the Neighbor 1x carrier frequency (arfcn) to an appropriate value.

4. Configure the Neighbor 1x cell ID (cellId) to an appropriate value.

5. Configure the Neighbor 1x market ID (marketId) to an appropriate value.

6. Configure the Neighbor PN offset (pnOffset) to an appropriate value.

7. Configure the Neighbor 1x sector ID (sectorId) to an appropriate value.

8. Configure the Neighbor 1x switch number (swNo) to an appropriate value.

4 Configure the CDMA2000 1xRTT CSFB type.

a) Go to the Radio Network Configuration page.

b) Expand the MRBTS object.

c) Expand the LNBTS object.

d) Expand the LNCEL objects, if there are none create at least one LNCEL instance.

e) Configure the CDMA2000 1xRTT CSFB type (rttCsfbType) for each LNCEL instance with appropiate values.

Note: R9 e1xCSFB configuration (i.e. act1xCsfb is 'true' and rttCsfbType is 'R9e1xCsfb') is ONLY allowed when eNodeB is configured in phase sync mode( i.e.

btsSyncMode is 'PhaseSync') and not as the sync hub slave (i.e.

gpsCtrlBlockForCoLocatedBts is 'False'.

1. If the CDMA2000 1xRTT CSFB type(rttCsfbType) parameter is set to R9e1xCsfb, the CDMA2000 timers( c2KTimers) must be entered ( if it does not exist) and configured to suitable values. To enter the CDMA2000 timers press the right mouse button onto the LNCEL instance and, select new CDMA2000 timers.

2. If the CDMA2000 1xRTT CSFB type(rttCsfbType) parameter is set to R9e1xCsfb, the CDMA2000 1xRTT cell ID info(rttCellIdInfo) must be configured to suitable values.

3. If the CDMA2000 1xRTT CSFB type(rttCsfbType) is not set to forbidden the SIB8  must be entered (if it does not exist) and configured in the System information scheduling list

(sibSchedulingList).

a) To create a new System information scheduling list

( sibSchedulingList) go to SIB ► System information scheduling list and select New System Information Schedule List.

b) Set the System information scheduling

list(sibSchedulingList ) SIB Type parameter value to SIB8.

c) Set the Periodicity of the SI-message

(siMessagePeriodicity(Periodicity))parameter to a value between 80ms and 5120 ms.

d) Set the Number of SI-Message Repetitions

(siMessageRepetition(Repetition) to a value between 1...4

5 Configure the CDFIM for CDMA2000 1xRTT.

a) Go to the Radio Network Configuration page.

b) Expand the MRBTS object.

c) Expand the LNBTS object.

d) Expand the LNCEL objects, if there are none create at least one LNCEL instance.

e) Expand the CDFIM object, if there are none create at least one CDFIM instance.

1. Configure the CDMA2000 frequency idle mode configuration identifier  ( cdfimId ) with an appropriate value.

2. Configure the CDMA search window size (searchWinSize ) to a value between 0 .. 15.

3. To configure the CDMA2000 1xRTT CSFB registration

parameters (csfbRegParam1xRtt ) press the right button onto the CDFIM instance and select New CDMA2000 1xRTT CSFB registration parameters. Provide the parameters with appropriate values.

6 Configure the LNHOX for CDMA 1xRTT.

a) Go to the Radio Network Configuration page.

b) Expand the MRBTS object.

c) Expand the LNBTS object.

d) Expand the LNCEL objects.

e) Expand the LNHOX object, if there are none create at least on LNHOX instance.

1. Configure the CDMA2000 1xRTT neighbor cell handover identifier (inhoxId) to a appropiate value.

2. Configure the CDMA2000 1xRTT search Window size (rttSearchWindowSize) to a appropiate value.

3. Configure the CDMA2000 1xRTT strength threshold (rttStrengthThresh)  to a appropiate value.

4. Configure the Maximum number of e1xCSFB target cells per frequency (rttMaxNumCsfbTargets) to a appropiate value.

f) Under the LNHOX object, expand the CDMA2000 1xRTT carrier frequency-1 list.

1. Configure the CDMA2000 1xRTT ARFCN (rttArfcn) to a appropiate value.

2. Configure the CDMA2000 1xRTT band class (rttBandClass) to a appropiate value.

7 Configure the LNRELX for CDMA2000 1xRTT

a) Go to the Radio Network Configuration page.

b) Expand the MRBTS object.

c) Expand the LNBTS object.

d) Expand the LNCEL objects.

e) Expand the LNRELX object, if there are none create at least one LNRELX instance.

1. Configure the  CDMA2000 1XRTT neighbor relation identifier ( lnrelxId ) to an appropriate value.

2. Configure the E1xCSFB allowed (e1xCsfbAllowed)  to an appropriate value.

3. Configure the Neighbor 1x band class (bandClass) to an appropriate value.

4. Configure the Neighbor 1x carrier frequency (arfcn) to an appropriate value.

5. Configure the Neighbor 1x cellId (cellId) to an appropriate value.

6. Configure the Neighbor 1x market ID (marketId) to an appropriate value.

7. Configure the Neighbor 1x PN offset (pnOffset) to an appropriate value.

8. Configure the Neighbor 1x sector ID (sectorId) to an appropriate value.

9. Configure the Neighbor 1x switch number (swNo) to an appropriate value.

8 Activate the LTE1441: Enhanced CS Fallback to CDMA/1xRTT.

a) Go to the Radio Network Configuration page.

b) Expand the MRBTS object.

c) Expand the LNBTS object.

d) Set the Activate 1xCSFB(act1xCsfb) parameter value to true.

e) Add XPARAM instance.

1. Configure the XPARAM for CDMA 1xRTT.
