Begin creating your Host On-Demand

ThePortalCredentialVaultcannotbeusedastheHCMdatabaseforRACF passticketgeneration.

Thefollowingstepsshowyouhow tousetheDeploymentWizard tocreateyour HostOn-Demandportlet,configureyour hostsession,andrecordyour login macro.

Steps1–5aredesignedforadministratorswhoareplanningtousethe

DeploymentWizardtocreatetheportlet,configurethehostsessiontouseWeb ExpressLogon,andrecordtheWebExpressLogonmacroallinonesitting.

However,youmaydecidetocreateyourportletfirstandthenconfigureyour sessionandcreateyourmacrolater.

Step 1: Begin creating your Host On-Demand portlet.

TheHostOn-DemandDeploymentWizardallowsyoutocreateaportlettobe launched withina PortalServer page.HostOn-DemandportletsaresavedasWeb Archive(WAR)files.

Tobegincreatingyour portletonaWindows machine,takethefollowingsteps:

1. OpentheDeploymentWizard:

v IfyouautomaticallyinstalledtheDeploymentWizardaspartofthe

Windows HostOn-Demandserver,clickStart>Programs>IBM WebSphere HostOn-Demand>Administration >DeploymentWizard.

v IfyouinstalledtheDeploymentWizardfromtheHostOn-DemandCD separately,click Start>Programs>IBMWebSphereHostOn-Demand DeploymentWizard>DeploymentWizard.

2. On theWelcome totheDeploymentWizardwindow (Figure21onpage62), selecteithertocreateanew fileoreditanexistingfile.ClickNext.

3. Ifyouarecreatinga newHTMLfile,selectoneof thefollowingthree

configurationmodelsontheConfigurationModelwindow(Figure22onpage 63)andclick Next:

v HTML-based model

v Configurationserver-basedmodel v Combinedmodel

IfyouareusingtheHTML-basedorCombinedmodels,youcancreateyour HTMLfileasnormal.However,ifyouareusingtheConfigurationserver-based model,youmustconfiguretheHTMLfilewithadditionalsteps.Referto AppendixB,“WebExpressLogonusingtheConfigurationserver-based model,”onpage119formoreinformation.

This wizard will help you create or edit an HTML page that can be used to launch Host On-Demand sessions.

Note: You can also create an HTML file by editing an existing file, and saving it under a new file name. In this case, the original file would remain unchanged.

4. On theHostSessionswindow,clickNew/Import toopentheAddsession window(Figure23).Thiswindow allowsyoueithertocreatea newsession (default)orimportanexistingsession.Tocreateanew session,selecta host type,entera sessionname,and adestinationaddress.ClickOKtoreturntothe HostSessionswindow.

Step 2: Configure the Host On-Demand session to use Web Express Logon.

TakethefollowingstepstoconfigureyourHostOn-DemandsessiontouseWeb Express Logon.

1. Opensessionproperties. Thereare twowaystodothis:

Session information is defined and managed in an HTML file (using this wizard). Necessary configuration information and user preferences (if allowed) are stored locally on the user’s machine. The configuration server is not used at all for sessions or preferences. No user Ids need to be created in the configuration server.

v Right-clickasession iconandselectProperties.Ontheleft sideofthe window,selectExpressLogonunderConnection,and selectEnable.

v IntheDeploymentWizard ontheHostSessionswindow,highlightyour session andselectPropertiesundertheConfiguredrop-downmenu.On the left sideofthewindow,selectExpressLogonunderConnectionandthen selectEnable.

2. On theExpress Logonwindow (seeFigure24),selectWebExpressLogonasthe Express Logontype.

3. SelecttheUserIdentityType:

TheUserIdentityTypefieldisnotusedwhenusingthePortalServer CredentialVaultService.

v LocalSystemID:theuser’slocaloperatingsystemID. WebExpressLogon currentlysupportsMicrosoftActive Directory(Windows Domain).

v Network ID:theuser’snetworksecurityapplicationID. WebExpressLogon currentlysupportsIBMTivoliAccessManagerand NetegritySiteminder.

v PortalID: theuser’sPortalServerID. WebExpressLogoncurrentlysupports PortalServer,a componentof IBMWebSpherePortal.

4. Leave theCredentialMapperServerAddress fieldblank.Thisfieldisnot requiredwhenusingthePortalServerCredentialVaultService.

5. ClickOK.

Step 3: Record the Web Express Logon macro.

Torecord amacro,youmustfirst starta hostsession.Tostarta sessionfrom within theDeploymentWizard,highlightyoursession ontheHostSessions window (Figure25onpage65)andclickActions>Start.
