ARTICULATING EXPECTED AND HYPOTHESIZED FINDINGS FOR THE EVIDENCE FOR THE
IV. A. Benchmarks and Predicted Performance
At the time of the writing of this report, assessment plans had been developed and executed for six of the fourteen BBA Core courses: BISM 2100, ECON 2300, FIN 3100, MGT 3100, MGT 3200 and MKTG 3100. During the semester prior to assessment, faculty involved with a particular course developed the assessment vehicles and corresponding grading rubrics necessary to assess student learning of the
Objectives to which that course is mapped. Benchmarks determined by each department designate levels of performance at which students are considered to exceed, meet or fall below expectations. Likewise, each department identifies the predicted performance for each Objective – the percentage of students expected to meet or exceed expectations. Exhibits IV-1 through IV-6 present the “Assessment Vehicle Forms” for each of the six courses. These Assessment Vehicle Forms identify the assessment vehicles, the benchmark “grades,” and the predicted performance on each Learning Objective for each of the six courses.
