Slots 1 to 8 One full-size line card per slot. For chassis slot containers:
• entPhysicalContainedIn is always 1 (which is the entPhysicalIndex of the chassis, which contains all chassis slots).
• entPhysicalParentRelPos is different for each chassis slot, to show its position in the chassis.
For full-size line cards in chassis slots:
• entPhysicalContainedIn is different for each line card (because each line card is installed in a different chassis slot).
• entPhysicalParentRelPos is always 1 (only one card per slot). Two half-height line cards per slot
(for example, gigabit Ethernet or fast Ethernet):
• One card in subslot 0
• The other card in subslot 1
For half-height line cards in chassis slots:
• entPhysicalContainedIn is the same for each half-height card (because both cards are installed in the same chassis slot).
• entPhysicalParentRelPos is different, indicating the half-height card position in the slot:
1 = Subslot 0 2 = Subslot 1
Slots A and B One route processor (RP) per slot. ESR can have two RPs (one for each PRE installed in slot A and slot B). Each RP contains:
