4 CSZ-Connect Data Services
4.3 Controller Configuration Storage
The CSZ-Connect controller configuration interface of the EZT provides a means to configure any EZT through the touch of a button as long as an LAN/WAN connection is available. Unlike the FileWeb and DataWeb interfaces that only allow the user to store files and data, the configuration interface provides the user with the ability to both export and import EZT configurations to/from the PC running the CSZ-Connect interface.
To prevent any tampering of the configuration files, each file is encrypted and embedded with a digital signature to ensure data integrity. If an attempt is made to load a configuration file that has been tampered with or altered in any way, it will fail multiple encrypted security checks which will prevent the user from importing bad data or altering the configuration of the EZT device.
The CSZ-Connect PC interface uses any standard browser installed on the PC the application has been installed on. After installation on the local PC, start your browser of choice and access the CSZ-Connect main page using the below information.
5.1 Access CSZ-Connect Login Page
To access the main CSZ-Connect login page type the following in the web address field in your browser:
http://PC_Local_IPAddress/FDDataWeb (where the PC_Local_IPAddress is the IP address of the computer CSZ-Connect is installed on).
5.2 Log In to Your Account
Log in by using the administrator user and password assigned during the application setup or as a user assigned by the administrator of the PC that CSZ-Connect is installed on. The website will be displayed with tabs for Data (DataWeb), Files (FileWeb) and Configurations. These tabs can be clicked on and will display data after transfer from the EZT device(s).

5.2.1 Data Files Page (FileWeb)
The Files page, accessible from the “Files” menu item, lists the files in the user accounts files directory. These are only the files in the user directory that physical EZT devices are assigned to. The user can delete the files from this page if the administrator assigned this privilege during installation.
To setup the EZT device for use with the CSZ-Connect Files server, go to the FTP/WAN screen on the EZT and enter the following data into the screen fields.
Type = FileWeb
IP Add = http://PC_Local_IPaddress/FDDataService.svc User = User assigned by admin of CSZ-Connect system
Password = Password assigned by admin of CSZ-Connect system Server = files/EZT_Device_Description(i.e. /files/zone1)
Port = not used (can be left at current value)
Important Note: If the “Server” field is left empty, all EZT devices connected to the PC will store their FileWeb file transfers to the main “User” directory. We recommend using “files/EZT device description” so each EZT device will have a directory created to store files for that device only. Otherwise, multiple EZT devices on the network transferring the same file names will overwrite files in the “User” directory.
Press the “Save” button to complete the setup on the EZT FTP/WAN screen. Press the “Start” button to begin a manual transfer of files from the EZT to the PC running the CSZ-Connect application. Login to the CSZ-Connect using a web browser to view the Files page (or press Files link if already logged into CSZ-Connect at local PC web browser).
Once logged in, the customer will be shown the database data page. If data has been uploaded to the database, the “Device ID” drop-down menu will contain the list of EZT devices assigned to the current CSZ-Connect user account (according to the ID#1 and/or ID#2 entries as made on the Data logging screen).
To view the data, select the desired unit from the “Device ID” list and select a start and end data range from the drop down calendar lists. Click the “Get Data” button below the Device ID menu to view data in a tabular format.
Important Note: Pressing “Get Data” with large time frames selected between start and end time will result in longer wait times for large amounts of data to be displayed.
The start and end dates can be altered by simply clicking on the fields to display only data from a specific time frame. When the specified time period is entered, press the Get Data button to refresh the data table.
The Data Range Column selection and Low/High Data Range fields can also be used to search for data points that
CSZ-Connect
Once Trend is selected, choose the desired unit from the Device ID menu. Place a check next to each available point you want to plot and click the Update Chart button. A trend plot according to the chosen plot points and time range will be displayed along with the corresponding data table below.
NOTE: Once you access the Data Table or Data Trend Chart page, the default start and end times are based on the available data at the server. If an EZT is actively sending data, you must manually set the end time to a future date so that each time you refresh the page via the Get Data or Update Chart buttons, the page is updated with the latest data sent from the EZT.
To setup the EZT device for use with the CSZ-Connect data server, go to the FTP/WAN screen on the EZT and enter the following data into the screen fields.
Type = DataWeb
IP Add = http://PC_Local_IPaddress/FDDataService.svc User = User assigned by admin of CSZ-Connect system
Password = Password assigned by admin of CSZ-Connect system Server = empty (no characters)
Port = not used (can be left at current value)
ID#1 = unique EZT device identifier of your choice (i.e. Zone1) ID#2 = unique EZT device identifier of your choice (i.e. SN 17756A)
Press the “Save” button to complete the setup on the EZT FTP/WAN screen. Next, navigate to the Data logging screen. Make entries in the ID#1 and/or ID#2 fields. These entries should be unique to the EZT and not duplicates of any other EZT you may have connected to the server. When logging is started at the EZT, data will begin transfer to the “Data” section of the server-side site. Data will be transferred to the server at the beginning of logging (one record) with additional records transferred based on the rate that the EZT data log interval is set for. The maximum rate of data transfer is once per minute, so if the logging interval is set to 1 second at the EZT, 60 data records (one for each second) will be transferred to the site once every minute.
The Configurations page, accessible from the “Configurations” menu item, lists the EZT configurations in the user accounts directory. The user can delete the files from this page if the administrator assigned this privilege during installation. EZT configurations have all settings data to completely configure an EZT device attached to the network. This is analogous to the cloud storage on your phone or personal device.
To setup the EZT device for use with the CSZ-Connect Configurations server, go to the Configuration screen in offline settings of the EZT device. Under Cloud server settings enter the following data into the screen fields.
IP Add = http://PC_Local_IPaddress/FDDataService.svc Server = leave blank
User = User assigned by admin of CSZ-Connect system
Password = Password assigned by admin of CSZ-Connect system
Press the “Save” button to complete the setup on the EZT Cloud screen. You can then export/import the EZT device configuration files directly to/from the CSZ-Connect system.

5.2.4 Database Map
The Database Map (admin only) allows an administrator to list the database mapping for each EZT device connected to the network. The File Column field names are automatically populated based on the configuration set at the EZT device. The database field names are also automatically populated (Data1 through Data “x”). The administrator can edit the database field names if desired to more accurately describe each field for remote “SQL”
client access.
SQL (Structured Query Language) is a standard language for accessing and retrieving data in databases. Many types of servers and clients exist on many different OS platforms. When you use your favorite Internet search engine, you are accessing search criteria from a database. CSZ-Connect stores all real time data in a MySQL database. Many different clients can access the database using the proper credentials for access (when approved and setup by IT administrators).
The SQL interface and language are a separate subject and too broad to cover in this manual. CSZ offers a separate tool for IT Administrator usage. Please contact Cincinnati Sub Zero for more information on the CSZ-Connect Admin Tool.
IMPORTANT: We recommend only IT administrators modify settings for CSZ-Connect due to security policies applied at the user/local level. Always backup the database directory prior to making any modifications to the CSZ-Connect system! Failure to do so could result in a loss of data.
7 CSZ Cloud Services
CSZ-Connect local systems can be updated to cloud based storage systems at any time. Updating to cloud-based systems allow global access to EZT real time data or files via a secure web or “SQL” cloud-based interfaces.
