The following is a description of the Errors and Warnings that may appear in the Recent Event tab of the Monitoring screen, the lower half of the Scheduling screen and in the Event log report.
These errors may also appear in a pop-up error box.
Message Meaning Resolution
The devices communication channel is currently in use
The communication device is currently in use by another central
management software user or job.
Another application such as On-site is
communicating with the Opticom device.
Wait until the other user or job is finished. If the problem persists, restart the GTT Communications Service.
Shut down On-site. Connecting to the communication device has
timed out.
Communication with the device has timed out. Communication with the phase selector has timed out.
CMS is not able to communicate with the specified phase selector or COM device.
May be a network issue or an issue with the phase selector/ COM device, switch/hub and or cable in the traffic cabinet. Verify that the COM device has been configured properly. The device is not accessible (A socket

CMS has detected a detector whose noise level is outside of the normal range
Open that phase selector current activity screen and verify noise level (s/b approx. 10-35). Replace any
detectors that fall outside of normal range.
Turn off Analyze Infrared detectors in GPS applications. Mark channels as not is use to prevent CMS from flagging non-existent detectors. The current devices’ serial number does not
match the serial number for the device in the database. If the previous phase selector has been replaced, use phase selector manual operation to either provision it from the database or read the configuration from the new device.
Phase selector has been
replaced. Follow directions in the message as needed.
