2.20 Exit Awards

Exit Awards are embedded in this programme for students who do not achieve the required credits for a BSc (Hons) Degree as outlined by HETAC. In certain circumstances students can apply for an Exit Award when they have gained 120 or 180 credits. Students with 120 credits may apply for a Higher Certificate in Health Studies while students with 180 credits may apply for a BSc. in Health Studies. It is important to note that both awards do not meet the requirements of An Bord Altranais agus Cnaimhseachais na hEireann for registration as a General Nurse.
