Your Inbox folder will either display a list packages or a list of files sent to you by other Attunity MFT users. See View Preferences for an explanation of how to switch between Files view and Packages view. A package can contain files or may simply contain a short message from the sender.
Note: In Files view you will not be able to see packages that only contain a subject or message.

To access your Inbox folder:
Click Inbox in the left pane.
The Inbox folder is displayed. New packages are indicated by bold text.
Your Inbox folder contains the following columns:
From – The Attunity MFT user name of the package sender.
Subject – The package subject as specified by the package sender.
Date – The date and time that the package/file arrived in your inbox.
Size – The total size of the file in the package (in Package view) or the size of the individual file (in File view).
Status – The current distribution/delivery status of the package (not displayed in Files view).
If more than twenty packages/files are displayed you can view all your packages/files by clicking the First, Previous, Next and Last buttons at the top and bottom right of your Inbox folder.

Downloading Files in Packages View
In Packages view, you can download package files one at a time or you can download several files concurrently.
There are two ways of downloading files:
Enhanced (recommended) – Use this method to enable recovery of interrupted downloads, managed download and data verification.
Standard – Use this method if your operating mode is “Lite” (i.e. no Attunity MFT active
components - Java Applet or ActiveX - are installed on your computer). Files will be downloaded using standard HTTP/S protocol.
Both of these methods are described in detail below.
To download package files:
1. Switch to Packages view (the default) by clicking the View toolbar button and selecting Packages.
2. In the Subject column of your Inbox folder, click the subject of the package.
The Package Details window opens displaying the Package tab.
You can see more detailed information about the package by clicking the More button at the bottom left of the tab. For an explanation of the details, see A. Package Properties.
3. In the Files list, select the files that you want to download.

Enhanced Download
If you pause a download and then click Cancel or if the Package Details window/browser is closed while a download is in progress, the download becomes recoverable. Downloads that are suddenly interrupted due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g. power failure) are also recoverable. You can resume the download at a later date as described in 6. Resuming Incomplete Transfers. This is especially useful, for example, if you are downloading a large file and network problems interrupt the download or if you need to perform an urgent task that requires you to close the browser before the download has completed.
To download files:
1. Select the check boxes next to the files that you want to download.
2. To replace files existing files with the same name, select the Replace existing files check box.
3. To verify that the file(s) transferred from the source machine are identical to the files that arrive at the target machine, select the Verify files check box.
Note: If a mismatch is detected, the transfer will only be aborted if the Abort on file transfer error check box is also selected.
4. To abort the download if one of the files cannot be downloaded, select the Abort on file transfer error check box.
Note: If you do not select this check box, the download will continue even if some of the files cannot be downloaded.
5. Click Download.
The Browse for Folder (ActiveX) or Select directory (Java) dialog box opens.
6. Select the folder in which you want the files to be saved and then click OK (ActiveX) or Select (Java) to start the download.
The Transfer Progress window opens.

Transfer Progress Window
The Transfer Progress window opens when you download a package using the enhanced download option.
The Transfer Progress provides a progress report and transfer-related information, including:
Overall transfer progress – The total overall transfer progress.
Current file - The name and transfer progress of the file that is currently being transferred.
Transfer status - The current transfer status.
Estimated time left - The transfer progress in terms of remaining time.
Files transferred - The number of files transferred so far.
Transfer Rate - The current transfer rate.
Transfer log - provides various information about the transfer including the name of the directory in which the package was created, the total size of the package, the package ID and how many files were transferred successfully.

To pause a transfer:
Click the Pause button.
The caption on the Pause button changes to Resume.
To resume a paused a transfer:
Click the Resume button.
To abort a transfer:
Click Abort.
To close the Transfer Progress window:
Click the Done button.
Standard Download
Standard download is used if no Attunity MFT active components (ActiveX Control or Java Applet) are installed on your computer. Standard download enables the download of files using standard HTTP/S protocol. If your
operating mode is "Lite", you will only be able to download files using this method.
To download multiple files in Lite mode:
1. Click the package subject.
The Package Details window opens.
2. Select the files that you want to download.
3. Click the Download button.
Note: If you selected more than three files to download you will be asked whether you want multiple Save As dialog boxes to be opened simultaneously.
A File Download prompt is displayed.
4. Click Save.

When you click Save, a Save As dialog box will open for the current file and a File Download prompt will open for the next file that you selected to download. This will occur for each of the files that you selected to download.
5. For each file, specify where you want to save the file and then click Save.
To download a single file:
1. Click the file that you want to download.

Downloading Files in Files View

Enhanced download enables the recovery of interrupted downloads and file content verification. Additionally, using this method, multiple files can be downloaded in a single operation as opposed to one at a time.
To download files:
1. Switch to Files view by clicking the View toolbar button and selecting Files.
A list of files is displayed.
2. Select the files that you want to download and then click the Download toolbar button.
Note: If you are prompted to install the file activex_packager.ocx, agree to install it.

The Files Details window opens.
3. To replace existing files with the same name, select the Replace existing files check box.
4. To verify that the files are downloaded in their entirety, select Verify files.
5. To abort the entire download if one of the files cannot be downloaded, select the Abort on file transfer error check box.
6. To start the download, click Download.

The Transfer Progress window opens.
The Transfer Progress window contains a summary of the transfer details and informs you if any errors occurred. For more information about the Transfer Progress Window, see Transfer Progress Window.
7. Click Done to close the window (disabled while download is in progress).
Standard Download
Standard download enables the download of files using standard HTTP/S protocol. If your operating mode is
"Lite", you will only be able to download files using this method.
To download multiple files:
1. Perform steps described 1-2 above.
Note: If you selected more than three files to download you will be asked whether you want multiple Save As dialog boxes to be opened simultaneously.
2. Click the Download button.
A File Download prompt is displayed.
3. Click Save.
When you click Save, the Save As dialog box will open for the current file and a File Download prompt will open for the next file that you selected to download. This will occur for each of the files that you selected to download.

Replying to the Package Sender
To reply to the package sender:
1. Click the Package subject.
The Package Details window opens.
2. Click the Reply link at the top of the page.
The Reply window opens.
3. Follow the procedure described in 2. Sending a Package.
Replying to the Sender and any Other Recipients
To reply to the package sender:
1. Click the Package subject.
The Package Details window opens.
2. Click the Reply to All link at the top of the page.
The Reply To All window opens.
3. Follow the procedure described in 2. Sending a Package.
Forwarding a Package
You can forward packages from your inbox to other recipients.
To forward a package:
1. Click the Package subject.
The Package Details window opens.
2. Click the Forward link at the top of the page.
The Forward Package window opens.
3. Follow the procedure described in 2. Sending a Package.
Note: The advanced options which are available when creating a new package and replying to a package are not available when forwarding a package.

The package is forwarded and a confirmation containing the unique ID of the forwarded package is displayed:
Viewing Package Properties
To view the properties of a specific package:
1. In the Subject column, click the subject of the package.
2. Click the button in the bottom left of the Package tab.
The package properties are displayed:

Audit Tab
In the package Audit tab you can check which of the package files you downloaded. To view the Audit tab, click the package subject and then click Audit.

Deleting Packages
1. To delete a single package, select the check box next to the package that you want to delete and then click the Delete toolbar button.
2. To delete all currently displayed packages, select the first check box and then click the Delete button.
3. To delete all packages:
a. Select the first check box (to the left of the Processing Started column) and then click the Delete button.
b. Click the button at the bottom of the page then repeat step a.
Note: Deleted packages will be moved to your Deleted Packages folder.
