Gate valves

1 Valves shall comply with specification of this document and 15801.PIP.MEC.SDS.

3 Valves shall comply with specification of this document, 15801.PIP.MEC.SDS and Manufacturer STD.

4 Materials in "NACE" service shall meet the requirements of NACE MR 0175 / ISO 15156

5 Body seats: for sizes up to 1" 1/2 expanded - in seats are acceptable.

6 Body-bonnet joint may be welded for 2 inch and smaller size valves.

7 Body-bonnet: RJ coupling when connections to line are flanged RJ or BW

8 Designations "NON CORR.", "CORR." and "NACE" are clarified on 15801.PIP.MEC.SDS.

9 For cryogenic test see 11544.PIP.MME.SDS.

10 Graphite density shall be of 1.1 g / cm³ minimum.

11 Manufacturer shall provide a procedure for welding valves to the piping in order to prevent seats damage.

13 All gate valves shall have a bleed in the wedge to equalize pressure in the body cavity with the upstream side pressure.

14 Stem roughness shall be of 63 Ra maximum.

15 Internal diameter of piping element to be connected shall be specified for butt-welding type valves.

16 Threaded seat bushings shall be fixed by tack welds.

17 Valve ends: flanges inserted by full-penetration butt-welding are allowed.

18 Valves shall be provided with a block and bleed facility.

19 Valves will be fitted with an extension drain plug.

20 Flange ends must comply with EEMUA 145

21 Additional requirements, if any (see 15801.PIP.MEC.SDS.), must be stated by Company.

23 End-to-end distance must comply with EN 558-1 "basic series 3 or 4"

24 Valves shall comply with EN ISO 15761 (API STD 602) where applicable

Globe valves

1 Valves shall comply with specification of this document and 15801.PIP.MEC.SDS.

2 Additional requirements, if any (see 15801.PIP.MEC.SDS.), must be stated by Company.

3 Valves shall comply with specification of this document, 15801.PIP.MEC.SDS and Manufacturer STD.

4 Materials in "NACE" service shall meet the requirements of NACE MR 0175 / ISO 15156

5 Selection of gasket type is a Manufacturer's option.

6 Material shall be supplied in solution annealed conditions 7 Yoke nut for sizes up to 1" 1/2: 13CR is allowed.

8 Internal diameter of piping element to be connected shall be specified for butt-welding type valves.

9 Valves size up to 2" may be welded bonnet.

10 Duplex means: UNS S31803.

11 Designations "NON CORR.", "CORR." and "NACE" are clarified on 15801.PIP.MEC.SDS.

12 The extended bonnet welds shall be checked with dye penetrant.

13 Threaded seat bushings shall be fixed by tack welds.

14 Valves will be fitted with an extension drain plug.

15 Graphite density shall be of 1.1 g / cm³ minimum.

16 Stem roughness shall be of 63 Ra maximum.

Ball valves

1 Valves shall comply with specification of this document and 15801.PIP.MEC.SDS.

2 Valves shall comply with specification of this document, 15801.PIP.MEC.SDS and Manufacturer STD.

3 All ball valve parts, except for those in PTFE, must comply with the conditions of body-bonnet rating.

4 Materials in "NACE" service shall meet the requirements of NACE MR 0175 / ISO 15156.

5 Antistatic device must be provided.

6 ASTM A 350 LF2 / ASTM A 352 LCB are acceptable for body and carbon steel ball material.

7 Designations "non-corrosive", "corrosive" and "NACE" are clarified in 15801.PIP.MEC.SDS.

8 Duplex means: UNS S31803.

9 For cryogenic test see 11544.PIP.MME.SDS.

10 For transition nozzles, if any, see 15801.PIP.MEC.SDS.

11 Graphite density shall be of 1.1 gr. / cm³ minimum.

12 Internal diameter of piping element to be connected shall be specified for butt-welding type valves.

13 Min. thickness and hardness of nickel overlay on stem and ball will be 50 microns for non-corrosive service and 75 microns for NACE;

hardness will be 67 HRC.

14 Min. thickness and hardness of nickel overlay on stem, ball and seat-rings will be 25 microns, 60 HRC

15 Min. thickness and hardness of nickel overlay on stem, ball and seat-rings will be 50 microns and 60 HCR respectively.

16 Min. thickness and hardness of nickel overlay on stem, ball and seat-rings will be as follows: a) carbon and alloy steel: thk. 50 microns for standard service and 75 microns for NACE, 67 HRC. b) stainless steel: thk. 25 microns, 60 HRC.

18 Stem roughness shall be of 63 Ra maximum.

19 Socket-welding valves: end-to-end dimensions are obtained by integral or welding extensions of material corresponding to body material.

20 A secondary seat-seal and an emergency stem sealing are required for trunnion mounted valves.

21 The design shall ensure that the stem shall not be capable of ejection from the valve while the valve under pressure by the removal of the stem seal retainer.

22 The dimensions are the same as 600 lb. class.

23 The extension welds shall be checked with dye penetrant.

25 Valves for corrosive service will have the seat housings ENP or stainless steel overlayed.

26 Valves shall be double block and bleed in the trunnion construction.

27 Valves will be fitted with an extension drain plug.

28 Valves will be trunnion mounted type.

29 Valves of x" and larger shall be trunnion mounted type.

30 Material shall be supplied in solution annealing conditions.

31 Valves shall comply with EN ISO 17292 where applicable.

32 Welded body construction is not acceptable.

33 Welded and threaded body constructions are not acceptable.

36 Additional requirements, if any (see 15801.PIP.MEC.SDS.), must be stated by Company.

40 Valves above 10" may be economical in LTCS+625 overlay. Weld overlay meets the requirements of 15801.PIP.MEC.SDS

41 Where requisition description specifies 6.0mm corrosion allowance, valve body wall thickness shall include 6.0mm corrosion allowance.

Function of valve shall not be affected in the corroded state weld overlay CRA material

Check valves

1 Valves shall comply with specification of this document and 15801.PIP.MEC.SDS.

2 A flow arrow shall be marked on each body valve.

3 Materials in "NACE" service shall meet the requirements of NACE MR 0175 / ISO 15156

4 Each of the dual plate will have its own spring, or springs, which provides independent closing action.

5 Designations "NON CORR.", "CORR." and "NACE" are clarified on 15801.PIP.MEC.SDS.

6 Valves of x" NPS and larger will have stellited disc seat for all services.

7 Valves shall comply with specification of this document, 15801.PIP.MEC.SDS and Manufacturer STD.

8 Welded cover construction is acceptable.

9 Internal diameter of piping element to be connected shall be specified for butt-welding type valves.

10 Manufacturer shall provide a procedure for welding valves to the piping in order to prevent seats damage.

11 Threaded seat bushings shall be fixed by tack welds.

Plug Valves

1 Valves shall comply with specification of this document and 15801.PIP.MEC.SDS.

6 Plug valves size x" and larger shall be supplied complete with gear operator.

7 Plug valves shall be supplied complete with gear operator.

Butterfly Valves

1 Valves shall comply with specification of this document and 15801.PIP.MEC.SDS.

2 All bolting holes will be threaded per ASME B 1.1 - UNC 2B for sizes up to 1" , and 8 UN 2B for sizes 1"½ to 4".

3 Manufacturer shall declare the maximum tight shut-off pressure when valves are to be flanged at one side only.

4 Antistatic device must be provided.

5 Valves shall be mounted between two EEMUA (16 or 20 bar) flanges or two ANSI 150# flanges

6 Gaskets are not required for installation.

7 Face-to-face dimensions shall comply with ISO 5752

8 Face-to-face dimensions shall comply with API STD 609 up to 24" and with ISO 5752 from 26" to 48"

9 Face-to-face dimensions shall comply with API STD 609 (short pattern)

10 Valves shall comply with EN 593 where applicable
