It is possible to fix workpieces by clamping or spreading them. the serration on the inside of the jaws safely fixes the work- piece. the shape of the inner jaws is not completely round but angled. this patented design enables the jaws to safely clamp square stock and minimizes the damage of the surface. the jaws also have more contact points
than conventional serrated jaws when clamping round stock. this enables a higher clamping force.
