Eligible Microsoft Windows Server Applications can be deployed on Revera Homeland Cloud IaaS using existing application licenses. This allows customers to more easily move their

workloads to Revera Homeland Cloud IaaS, without any additional Microsoft software licensing fees. This benefit is available to Microsoft Volume Licensing (VL) customers with eligible server applications covered by active Microsoft Software Assurance (SA) contracts. Not only will license mobility make the transition easier for existing SA customers, it provides customers who prefer to purchase perpetual licenses the ability to continue doing so while still taking advantage of the efficiencies of the cloud.

How to Sign Up

Software Assurance. To start the verification process and review additional details, go to: http://www.microsoft.com/licensing/software-assurance/license-mobility.aspx .

For guidance on filling out the form please go to the Microsoft License Mobility through Software Assurance Customer Verification Guide . Please use [email protected] as the Service Provider email address as required by the form.

Microsoft will provide confirmation to the customer and to the service provider that the customer has completed this verification process. The customer may deploy their application server software prior to the verification process being completed; the customer is responsible for managing true ups and renewals as required under their agreement.

Eligibility Requirements

To take advantage of this benefit, the following conditions must apply:

1. All Microsoft Server application products migrated to Revera via the License Mobility through Software Assurance program must be covered with active Software Assurance (SA). 2. The server applications must be on the list of eligible products. The list currently includes:

• MS Exchange Server • SharePoint Server

• SQL Server Standard Edition • SQL Server Enterprise Edition • Lync Server

• System Centre Server • Dynamics CRM Server • Dynamics AX Server • MS Project Server • Visual Studio Deployment

• Visual Studio Team Foundation Server • BizTalk Server

• Forefront Identity Manager • Forefront Unified Access Gateway • Remote Desktop Services

To view a full list of eligible server application products, see the ‘Software Assurance Benefits’ section in the Microsoft Product Use Rights (PUR) at

http://www.microsoft.com/licensing/about-licensing/product-licensing.aspx

This section of the PUR also contains additional restrictions that apply to customers’ participation in the License Mobility through Software Assurance program.

3. Eligible Volume Licensing programs include the Enterprise Agreement, Enterprise Subscription Agreement, and Microsoft Open Value Agreement, where Software Assurance is included, and other Volume Licensing programs where Software Assurance is an option, such as Microsoft Open License or Select Plus.

4. The customer must maintain appropriate Client Access Licenses (CALs) with Software Assurance in their Volume Licensing agreement for accessing the application servers.

5. Does not include the Microsoft Windows Client operating system, Desktop application products (e.g. Microsoft Office), and Microsoft Windows Server operating system. Most Revera

IaaS offerings include Microsoft Window Server operating system licenses; however, you should refer to each service offerings’ service description for confirmation.

1. Server License - A license must be assigned for each instance of the server software that is being run - c-Stack Connect includes licensing for this.

2. Client Access Licenses (CALs) - With this license type, a CAL is required for each user or device that accesses the server software. There are two types of CALs for Exchange, both of which work with either edition of the server:

a) Exchange Standard CAL enables Standard CAL features for a user. The customer is required to have a Standard CAL under Software Assurance for each user accessing c-Stack Connect unless a Connect SPLA plan is selected.

b) Exchange Enterprise CAL is sold as an add-on to the Standard CAL and enables Enterprise CAL features required for c-Stack Connect+. The customer is required to have a Standard CAL plus an Enterprise CAL under Software Assurance for each user accessing c-Stack Connect+ unless a Connect+ SPLA plan is selected.

3. Client Software License - To utilise Exchange services an Outlook client is not required as c-Stack Connect mailboxes can be accessed via online web mail portal (Outlook Web Access) or mobile phone via ActiveSync. However, if the customer requires Outlook client to be installed on client devices then Outlook 2013* can be purchased:

a) Outlook 2013*licensed via Microsoft Office bundle or as a standalone purchase. The customer must provide licensing for this.

b) Outlook licensed via the c-Stack Connect SPLA+ service plan – SPLA allows Revera to provide an Outlook license as part of the service. Customer may install and run one instance of the Outlook Mac 2011 or Outlook 2013 client software in one physical or virtual operating system environment (or OSE) on (a) any device for which you acquire a device SAL, and (b) a single device used by any user for whom you acquire a user SAL.

1. Server Licenses - A license must be assigned for each instance of the server software that is running the front-end server role—c-Stack Communicate includes licensing for this.

2. Client Access Licenses (CALs) - To access the Lync Server 2013 services, a Client Access License is required. Three CALs are available for Lync Server:

a) Lync Standard CAL enables Standard CAL features for a user or device. c-Stack Communicate includes this functionality but requires a Lync Enterprise CAL in addition.

b) Lync Enterprise CAL is sold as an add-on to the Standard CAL and enables Enterprise CAL features required for c-Stack Communicate. The customer is required to have a Standard CAL plus an Enterprise CAL under Software Assurance using one of the following Qualifying CAL scenarios for each user or device accessing c-Stack Communicate unless a Communicate SPLA plan is selected.

i. Lync Server 2013 Standard CAL and Lync Server 2013 Enterprise CAL, or ii. Core CAL Suite and Lync Server Enterprise CAL, or

iii. Enterprise CAL Suite, or iv. Lync Online Plan 3 User SL, or

v. Office 365 Enterprise E3 or E4, Academic A3 or A4 User SL

c) Lync Enterprise Plus CAL enables enterprise voice features. c-Stack Communicate does not include this functionality at this time.

3. Client Software License - To utilise Lync services a Lync 2013* client is required:

a) Customer may install and run one instance of the Lync 2013 or Lync for Mac 2011 client software in one physical or virtual operating system environment (or OSE) on (a) any device for which you acquire a device SAL, and (b) a single device used by any user for whom you acquire a user SAL.

b) Lync 2013* is licensed via Office Professional Plus bundle or as a standalone purchase. The customer must provide licensed software for this.

c) Lync Basic 2013 client licensed via free download from Microsoft (this is free). This provides all Lync Standard CAL functionality but not the Lync Enterprise CAL functionality (basically video/audio online meetings between more than 2 people is not available)

d) Lync Windows Phone client is licensed via Windows Store and other mobile clients are available free via the relevant platform store (iPad, iPod, android etc.) *2010 version of Outlook and Lync client will work with c-Stack (with the exception of any features not found or supported in Outlook 2010).

Where a customer utilises CALs under Software Assurance, the equivalent SPLA SAL for Software Assurance license is included in the service fee. Where a customer does not utilise CALs under Software Assurance the equivalent SPLA SAL license is included in the service fee.

C2 Bundles

Where a customer purchases Connect and Communicate Services in the same SPLA licencing bracket (e.g. Connect SPLA and Communicate SPLA), those services will be bundled together to receive a per user discount. Connect cannot be bundled with Communicate SPLA and vice versa.
