I have observed with the passage of years that people in all walks of life are intensely fascinated by dreams. Our daily newspapers, periodicals, and magazines are continuously revealing the extensive research work being conducted by medical doctors, psychologists, and psychiatrists on the dream life of men and women, and they have demonstrated that practically without exception all people dream. This research work has demonstrated also that deprivation of needed sleep can bring on mental aberrations and even psychosis.
Nearly everyone today has heard of Freud, Jung, Adler, and many others. These men have written and lectured extensively on dreams, and their interpretations vary to a great degree. From time immemorial, men and women have been baffled and amazed by the dramatizations of the mind called dreams. Many of these dreams are of a precognitive nature and transcend time and space.

A young college student told me recently that he looks at the "television" in his mind every night. He refers to his dreams as his mental television. He had been ill for a couple of weeks and had missed several important lectures but was scheduled nevertheless to take an examination the day after his return to his studies. The night prior to the examination, he instructed his subconscious as follows: "Infinite Intelli
gence, you are all-wise. Reveal to me everything I need to know about this examination tomorrow morning. I accept the answer now." He then calmly went off to the deep of sleep. That night he saw clearly all the questions on his mental TV set and immediately thereafter got up and studied the answers from his textbook. This happens frequently to this young man, who definitely believes that the wisdom of his subconscious mind is guiding him in all his studies.
How Her Dream Saved Her Life
While writing this chapter, I was interrupted by a long distance call from a member of our organization who was in London, England at that time. The following is the gist of what she said: "I had to phone you. Last night you appeared to me in my dream and warned me under no circumstances to go to Nottingham by car as I had arranged. You instructed me to go by train. I had arranged to go with my two cousins in their car, but I cancelled the trip as you suggested. I was shocked to learn a short time later that my two cousins had experienced a serious accident on the road and were badly inj ured."

Prior to this young woman's departure for Europe, I had given her the following prayer with the instructions that she was to busy her mind with the simple truths therein

"Whilst riding in a car, train, bus, airplane, or whatever means of conveyance I use, God's love surrounds me. The invisible armor of God is always around me. The spirit of God is upon me, making all roads a highway for my God. It is wonderful! "
The Reason for Her Dream
Self-preservation is the first law of life, and your subconscious always seeks to guard and preserve you fro m harm of every kind. The prayer she was using was etched on her subconscious mind, which activated its clairvoyant powers. Undoubtedly it knew that if she had traveled by motor car to Nottingham, she would have had an accident;

tized the words of warning which her subconscious knew she would heed and obey. My appearance in her dream was simply a symbol of the truth of the message imparted to her in her dream.
She Could Not Take That Motor Trip
It is important to remember that harmony and discord do not dwell together; therefore, she could not be in a car that collided with another, as she had claimed Divine love and harmony go before her, making straight, joyous, and peaceful her j ourney.
He Said, "I Never Dream"
The subconscious mind is ever awake even during the deepest rest of the body, and it is always active. A young

I suggested to him that on the moment of awakening he suggest to himself, "I remember," and to his surprise and pleasure, the dream unfolded itself completely and even answered a problem for him which had perplexed him for some time.
Her Dream Saved Her from a Serious Operation
A girl whom we shall call Louise was informed by her foot surgeon that it was necessary to operate on her left foot to bring about a healing, and that this would necessitate having her leg in a cast as well as using crutches for two months or more. She prayed that the infinite intelligence of her subconscious mind would guide and direct her to come to the right decision. She turned this request over to her subconscious mind every night, and at the end of the fourth night, she saw a chiropractic doctor, a friend of the family,
• who in the dream state pointed to Hexagram 35 in The I Ching, * which said, "Progress. " The next day she went to visit him , and on examining the foot, he advised her that he could bring about perfect alignment and adj ustment by manipulation· and exercise, which she would have to practice;
and a perfect healing followed.
The Reason Her Subconscious Selected the Hexagram
The subconscious usually speaks and reveals answers symbolically. Louise, having taken two classes on Th e I Ching with the writer, became absorbed and engrossed with its scientific and metaphysical approach to life and, undoubt

Entering the Subjective State at Will
In visiting the home of an artist recently, I was told that she could enter the subjective state at will by simply closing her eyes, immobilizing her attention, and · requesting her subconscious to give her beautiful mental pictures in detail and color. She is aware that her subconscious mind is amenable to her suggestions and that her visions of beauty are evoked by her own volition. The police arrived within minutes and caught the two burglars, who were armed with pistols and were highly dangerous. They were quickly arrested. One of the detectives told my friend later that had he entered his home and surprised the burglars, they would undoubtedly have shot him, which they had done previously to others under similar circumstances.
