Writing emails

Snail mail is what people send through the post office.

It takes time: Time to write a letter or a postcard , time to buy the envelopes and stamps and time to take it to the post office .

Snail mail often takes days to reach its destination .

With emails, you can write a message , click the "Send" button and off it goes.

Email is faster and cheaper, but snail mail is more personal . A letter is always something someone can touch and keep . Thanks for your email dated June 25.

Understanding websites

To begin a new document , click on the new blank document icon, shaped like a blank sheet of paper.

To save the document you are currently working on, press "Save".

First go to the website where you want to create your email account.

You should know the address of the website to enter the homepage . Then you need to sign up for the account by choosing and entering a username and password .

You can view your emails and download attachments.

If you want to link any websites in an email, just type the website name in your email. Then click the hyperlink button on the taskbar/toolbar.

www stands for the World Wide Web .
