5.2.1 Magnet for reed relay door recognition
Magnet: - Remove the cover of the front panel at the left and right (see Fig. 5.1.3/ 1 and 2).
- Disengage and remove the front panel (Fig. 5.2.1/ 1).
- Magnet is clipped into place at the rear (Fig. 5.2.1/ 3).
Reed contact : - Disengage cover of the soft stop mechanism at the marked locations (Fig. 5.2.1/ 4).
- Disengage reed PCB at the side (Fig. 5.2.1/ 6).

5.2.2 Cable feedthrough in door
Detach bus connector from the reed PCB.
Lever out the cable gland using a screwdriver.
In case of door hinge changeover: - Transfer the bus cable feedthrough - Transfer the soft stop mechanism
5.2.3 Disassembling the horizontal separating plate
Remove BioFresh drawers and insulation plate of BioFreshPlus.
Remove cable duct panel (see Fig. 5.2.3/ 1)
Disconnect and detach cable.
Undo fastening screws (see Fig. 5.2.3/ 2)
Pull out the separating plate forwards.
5.2.4 BioFresh control panel
Remove cable duct panel, disconnect cable.
Disengage control panel at marked retaining lugs.

5.2.5 Disassembling the vertical separating plate
Disassemble the horizontal separating plate (see 5.2.3 Disassembling the horizontal separating plate).
Remove glass shelves.
Using a screwdriver, disengage clips at the right and left at the marked location (Fig. 5.2.5/ 1) and press in the direction of the separating plate (Fig. 5.2.5/ 2). Remove clip.
Undo screws (Fig. 5.2.5/ 4) fastening the separating plate.
Disconnect fan cable (Fig. 5.2.5/ 5).
During assembly pay attention that the retaining lugs of the vertical separating plate are slipped into the grooves of the compartment liner for fixing the separating plate at the top.

5.2.6 Refrigerator compartment air sensor/air flap
Disengage cover of the refrigerator compartment air flap and raise it (Figs. 5.2.6/1 and 2).
Refrigerator compartment air sensor is attached to the BioFreshPlus PCB in the horizontal separating plate.
The refrigerator compartment air flap is only slipped into place, it is not interlocked or screw-fitted.
5.2.7 BioFreshPlus and BioFresh air sensor/air flap
Disengage and remove cover of BioFresh air flaps (Fig. 5.2.7/1).
BioFreshPlus and BioFresh air sensors are attached to the BioFreshPlus PCB in the horizontal separating plate.
BioFresh air flaps are only slipped into place, they are not interlocked or screw-fitted.

5.2.8 Evaporator sensor
Disassemble the horizontal separating plate (see 5.2.3 Disassembling the horizontal separating plate).
Disassemble the vertical separating plate, (see 5.2.5 Disassembling the vertical separating plate).
Detach evaporator sensor holder.
Refrigerator compartment evaporator sensor is attached to the BioFreshPlus PCB in the horizontal separating plate.
5.2.9 Fan
Disassemble the horizontal separating plate (see 5.2.3 Disassembling the horizontal separating plate).
Disassemble the vertical separating plate, (see 5.2.5 Disassembling the vertical separating plate).
Disconnect fan.
Use a screwdriver to press the fan from the rubber support at the marked locations (Fig. 5.2.9/ 1).
Note: The direction of installation (direction of air current) is indicated by an arrow.
The arrow (see Fig. 5.2.9/ 2) has to point in the direction of the compartment liner (rear wall of appliance).

LED light column: - Using a small screwdriver, turn the slot in the cap downwards.
- Insert a screwdriver in the slot and remove the cap.
- Undo screws of light column.
LED PCB: - Unlock and pull off connector (Fig. 5.2.10/ 3).
- Unlock PCB and connector socket at the marked locations (Fig. 5.2.10/ 4).
- Lift PCB at an angle from the light cover.
INFO One LED group comprising 3 LEDs is used for each illuminated support rib.
If a single LED of an LED group is defective, the entire LED group is inoperative.
All the other LEDs continue to shine.

5.3 Freezer compartment
5.3.1 Air sensor, evaporator module and fan module
Air sensor: Engaged in sensor holder on air duct panel.
Evaporator module: - Clear the drawers and glass shelves in the freezer compartment.
- Disengage the air sensor.
- Undo the screws marked in Fig. 5.3.1/ 1and remove the rear wall.
- Raise and swing out the evaporator module in a forward direction.
Fan module: Undo the marked screws and expose the cable (see Fig. 5.3.1/ 3).

5.3.2 Temperature fuse, evaporator sensor and defrost heater
Temperature fuse: - Feel for the position of the temperature fuse (see 1st step, Fig. 5.3.2/ 1) - Make an incision in the sheeting (see Fig. 5.3.2/ 2).
- Undo screw (see Fig. 5.3.2/ 3).
The temperature fuse has to be replaced separately using a conversion kit.
The conversion kit comprises: - 1 temperature fuse - 2 compression connectors - 2 shrink hoses
Note:
Always fit the compression connector to the red and blue lead of the temperature fuse.
The defrost heater is destroyed as soon as the white lead of the defrost heater is cut.

Evaporator sensor: Raise evaporator module and swing it out in a forward direction . - Make incisions in the sheeting at the marked locations
(1st and 2nd step, see Fig. 5.3.2/ 4 and Fig. 5.3.2/ 5).
- Bend open the retaining lugs of the cover plate and remove it.
- Draw the evaporator sensor to the left, out of the lamellar evaporator.
Defrost heater: Is clipped into the evaporator fins. Can be replaced if defective.

5.3.4 IceMaker
Disengage the IceMaker and draw it forwards for removal (see Fig. 5.3.4/ 1).
Detach connector (see Fig. 5.3.4/ 2).

5.3.5 Double solenoid valve, IceMaker
Undo the screws fastening the condenser on the right-hand side.
Undo the screw fastening the unit carrier (see Fig. 5.3.5/ 1).
Lever open the plastic flap (see Fig. 5.3.5/ 1).
Remove the cover of the electronic module.
Detach the connector marked light blue (double solenoid valve) and attach it to the cable comb so that the connector cannot be drawn under the unit carrier as the double solenoid valve is pulled out
(see Fig. 5.3.5/ 2).
Detach housing feedthrough of the water hose and make a hose loop so that the hose can be fed as the double solenoid valve is pulled out (see Fig. 5.3.5/ 3 and Fig. 5.3.5/ 4)
Pull the double solenoid valve out of the unit carrier while feeding the water hose.
Electrical connection, detach cable lugs (see Fig. 5.3.5/ 2).
Undo the screw fitting of the water hose.
Note: Paper seal has to be replaced once the screw fitting has been undone!
