RESOLUTION TO MODIFY THE CITY OF BEACON FIREFIGHTER ROLL BOOK

WHEREAS, under Section 31-6.B of the Code of the City of Beacon the names of persons being recommended for appointment as firefighters shall be submitted to the City Council for ratification; and

WHEREAS, the City of Beacon Fire Chief has reported to the City Council that John Williams, Brent Plumer, and Christopher Rodriguez have completed the tasks required to be placed on the active roll, including but not limited to, successfully passing their respective physical examinations and Dutchess County background checks; and

WHEREAS, Section 31-8.E of the Code of the City of Beacon states that active volunteer firefighters must reside within a fifteen-mile radius of the City of Beacon; and

WHEREAS, the City of Beacon Fire Chief has reported to the City Council that Volunteer Firefighter Jacob Davis has moved beyond a fifteen-mile radius of the City of Beacon and no longer qualifies for membership in the Fire Department.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Beacon City Council hereby ratifies John Williams, Brent Plumer, and Christopher Rodriguez as Active Volunteer

Firefighters and removes Jacob Davis from the active rolls.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Clerk shall amend the roll book to include John Williams, Brent Plumer and Christopher Rodriguez, their respective companies and their badge number and shall amend the roll book to remove Jacob Davis.
