Setting of parameters

In document Gambro AK 200 S - Service Manual (Page 71-74)

All treatment parameters are set in a similar way.

To illustrate this, a detailed description follows showing how the values for the Temp (temperature) are changed.

Press the Temp button.

The information display and its buttons show:

Figure 3:13 Temp button and the information display

The set value for the temperature can be changed with the Set knob if the middle Arrow button is pressed. To indicate that the set value is possible to change, the textSETon the information display and the green bargraph

on the temperature display will flash. The alarm limits can be changed either together or separately. If the low or high limit is to be changed, press the corresponding Arrow button. The limits are changed together by pressing both left and right Arrow buttons simultaneously. To indicate the limits that can be changed, the corresponding texts and bargraphs will flash.

The light of the information display goes out 15 seconds after the Set knob or the buttons are touched.

It is however, possible to select new information on the information display by pressing another button before the 15 seconds have passed. If the values need to be studied in digital form for more than 15 seconds the

Hold button can be pressed. The Set knob is then disconnected. Pressing an Arrow button will again make a value changeable. It is always possible to

Note

• The bargraphs displays show the set value, the actual value and the alarm limits for the control system, while the information display shows the corresponding values of the protective system (see chapter 1). In order to verify that the control and protective systems are operating with the correct input values, the user is instructed to compare the readings of the current bargraph displays and the information display before connecting the patient.

Note

Venous pressure

The low and high alarm limits can be changed with the Set knob either together or separately.

Blood flow in single pump mode

The Blood flow knob is directly accessible i.e. without first having to press the parameter button. In double needle/single pump mode, the blood flow rate can be changed with the Blood flow knob. In single needle/single pump mode, the arterial blood flow rate, can be changed with the

Blood flow knob.

Blood flow in single needle/double pump mode

The mean blood flow rate can be changed with the Blood flow knob. The venous blood flow rate as well as the arterial blood flow rate can be changed separately, using the Set knob.

In this mode the actual blood flow value is not compensated for as regards arterial pressure.

Blood pump segment adjustment

Three different blood pump segment diameters can be selected by pressing the Blood flow button when the blood pump is stopped in double needle mode. The blood pump segment diameter is changed with the

Set knob (see “Change of blood pump segments” in this chapter). SN data in single needle/single pump mode

The times for the venous and the arterial phases can be changed with the Set knob.

SN data in single needle/double pump

The stroke volume and the high system pressure limit can be changed with the Set knob.

Temperature

The set value, the low and high alarm limits for the temperature can be changed with the Set knob. When the set value is changed, the alarm limits will automatically follow. However, the alarm limits can also be changed separately. See previously in this chapter (Setting of parameters, Temperature example).

Conductivity in acetate mode

The set value for sodium can be changed with the Set knob. When the set value is changed, the alarm limits will automatically follow, at 5% of the resulting set value of the conductivity.

Conductivity in bicarbonate mode

The set values for sodium and bicarbonate can be changed with the

Set knob. When one or both set values are changed, the alarm limits will

automatically follow, at 5% of the resulting set value of the conductivity.

Arterial pressure

The low and high alarm limits can be changed with the Set knob either together or separately.

TMP

The low and high alarm limits for the transmembrane pressure can be changed either together or separately using the Set knob.

UF volume

The set value for the total ultrafiltration volume (patient weight loss) can be changed with the Set knob.

UF rate

The priming UF rate and the minimum UF rate during treatment can be changed with the Set knob.

Time

The remaining treatment time shown in the TIME-display, can be changed with the Set knob.

Heparin

The set value for the heparin flow rate and the stop time for the heparinization (time before treatment ends) can be changed with the

Set knob.

Dialysis fluid flow

The set value for dialysis fluid flow can be changed between the low and high value, in steps of 25 ml/min, with the Set knob.

BPM (option), BVS and Diascan

The parameter settings for the above mentioned functions are described in the corresponding chapter for each function.
