Hanging Sign Policy and Procedures for Automation Fair 2015
In an effort to reduce costs for exhibitors Valley Expo & Displays will install all hanging structures on November 12th and 13th. Valley Expo & Display is responsible for the assembly and installation of all hanging equipment, truss, and signs. No display house or exhibitor personnel will be allowed to assemble any hanging structures. Display houses or exhibitor personnel are allowed to
disassemble structures after Valley lowers structure. Only installation of hanging structures will occur during these days- no other activity will be allowed in your booth.
TO ENSURE PROPER INSTALLATION FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS:
All hanging equipment must conform to Rockwell Automation rules and regulations and facility limitations. See Automation Fair 2015 Rules and Regulations included in this kit.
Submit drawings and structural integrity statements to Valley to obtain approval from Rockwell Automation. Approval must be obtained no later than October 12, 2015.
All overhead electrical hanging signs must be certified for structural integrity and safety in order to be approved and installed by Valley.
Electrical signs must be in working order and in accordance with codes of the City of Chicago.
Electrical Service requirements must be ordered in advance on Electrical Service Order Form included in this kit
Hanging anchor points must be pre-fabricated and ready to use.
Hanging structures must be clearly marked and sent in separate containers directly to Valley’s warehouse by November 2, 2015. Structures not clearly marked and received by this date will not be assembled and hung regardless of prior approval of drawings. Use the Hanging Sign Shipping Label provided in this kit.
Mark Bills of Lading “Hanging Sign”. Prepay all shipments. Collect shipments will not be accepted.
Include assembly and set up instructions in shipment to advance warehouse. Valley accepts no liability for any work completed without such instructions and drawings.
The total weight limit of the sign or materials is not to exceed 1500lbs. The weight of signs or materials is not to exceed 1000lbs per hanging point.
The placement of the all “hanging signs” shall be determined by the Electrical Contractor and/or Valley prior to installation to insure minimum stress to the supporting framework.
The Electrical Contractor and/or Valley are responsible for all hanging signs. Valley will pre-assemble all signs. No display house will be allowed to pre-assemble any hanging signs. This per-tains only to assembly . Dismantling can be done by a display house.
Because of the structure of the ceiling, and the location of exhibits, in relation to support beams, your sign may have to be moved from your original specifications.
SHOW SITE ORDERS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED DUE TO PRIOR APPROVAL REQUIREMENT.

Charges for Hanging Signs are on a time and material basis.
The minimum charge is one hour per lift crew and assembler.
Size and weight of structure determines labor & equipment requirements.
Additional crew and/or equipment will be used if Crew Supervisor deems it necessary to safely complete the installation/dismantling of structure.
There will be additional charges for any cables, connectors and any other equipment needed to assemble or rig structures.
Hanging Crew consists of Lift and three laborers.
Actual charges will be calculated using appropriate rates for when work occurred.
Straight time cannot be guaranteed.
By placing an order for hanging services, exhibitor agrees to these terms and conditions.
