• Not mixed in a pattern

9.5.2 Select sheets at random from the lot according to the sampling plan in Section 5.0.

minimum number of joints to measure. An example is provided below.

9.5.5 Mark the joints to be measured with a marker or felt pen.
9.5.6 Use appropriate calipers for the distance to be measured, accurate to 0.1 mm.
9.5.7 Place the sheet on a firm horizontal surface so that the face side is up.
9.5.8 Measure the left and right side (5 mm from each corner) of the marked joints.
9.5.9 The maximum side minus the minimum side is the range for that particular joint.
9.5.10 The average of both sides for a single joint is the average width for that joint.
9.5.11 The average of all of the average joint widths is the average joint width for the sheet.
