June 2 Delegate Selection Affirmative Action Committee members are appointed by the State Chair.
July 6 Affirmative Action Committee meets to draft proposed Delegate Selection and Affirmative Action Plans. July 2 Delegate Selection Affirmative Action Committee members must be submitted to the Rules and Bylaws
Committee including names, contact information and demographic data.
July 8 State Party Committee tentatively approves proposed Delegate Selection and Affirmative Action Plans for public comment.
July 11 Public comments are solicited on the proposed Delegate Selection and Affirmative Action Plans. Press releases are mailed announcing the public comment period.
August 10 Period for public comment on state Plan is concluded. The State Party Committee compiles responses for review.
August 10 State Party Committee reviews public comments and adopts revised Delegate Selection and Affirmative Action Plans for submission to DNC Rules and Bylaws Committee. Press releases are mailed announcing the approval of the Plan.
August 11 Delegate Selection and Affirmative Action Plans are forwarded to the DNC Rules and Bylaws Committee. September 15 State Party begins implementation of the Affirmative Action Plan. Press kits, as described in the Affirmative
Action Plan, are sent to all state media
December 15 Presidential candidate petition forms are available from the State Party Committee Headquarters.
2016
January 5 Delegate and alternate candidates may obtain the statement of candidacy and pledge of support forms and filing instructions from State Party Committee Headquarters, in person, by mail, or from State Party’s web site at www.kydemocrat.com.
January 26 Presidential candidate deadline for filing the petition of candidacy with the Secretary of State and a copy to the State Party.
January 31 Presidential candidate deadline for certifying the name(s) of their authorized representative(s) to the State Party.
March 31 Presidential candidate must provide a full participation statement to the State Party.
May 9 Filing deadline for statement of candidacy and pledge of support forms district-level delegates, PLEO, at- large and alternate delegates. Forms must be received at the Kentucky Democratic Party by 5:00 pm local time.
May 10 State Party to provide list of candidates who have filed statement of candidacy and pledge of support forms for district-level delegate, PLEO delegates to presidential candidate.
May 17 Presidential Preference Primary
May 21 County Caucuses convene. Registered democrats elect delegates to attend Congressional Caucus and State Convention on June 4, 2016.
May 27 Presidential candidates provide list of approved district-level, at-large, and alternate delegates to State Party.

June 4 National Convention delegation meeting. Delegates for Standing Committee members and Delegation Chair. State Char names pages.
June 4 State party provides list of PLEO and at-large and alternate delegates to presidential candidates
June 4 Presidential candidates provide list of approved PLEO delegates and standing committee members to State Party.
June 6 State Chair certifies in writing to the Secretary of the DNC the State Delegation Chair, Convention pages, and Standing Committee Members.
June 15 State Chair certifies in writing to the Secretary of the DNC remainder of elected district and at-large
