This course consists of classroom and simulator sessions designed to provide the

participants with working knowledge on the B747-400 CF6-80C2 engine run-up tests. It is a requirement for obtaining B747-400 Engine Run-up Operator’s Permit. At the end of the course, the participant will be able to:

a. state the safety precautions to be observed during engine run-up operations

b. perform engine starting, running and test procedures in accordance with maintenance manual procedures and safety precautions

c. monitor normal engine operating parameters and recognize abnormal conditions/occurrences
