Test Preparation

Please backup configurations before test execution.

Objective

This test case aims to verify that the eNodeB performs CS fallback for This test case aims to verify that the eNodeB performs CS fallback for 2 LTE UEs by using measurement-beased redirection when LTE UE in Connected mode calling LTE UE in idle mode

Tools :

Prerequisites

UE1 and UE2 are subscribed on the HSS as follows:

QCI = 9(by default),, ARP = 11, UL and DL AMBRs = 150 Mbit/s Test Condition :

put static with LTE RSRP>=-85dBm, SINR>=15dB

Test Count : 20 times Configuration :

Enable PS redirection to UTRAN in the obtained inter-RAT handover policy group by running the following MML command on the eNodeB:

MOD INTERRATPOLICYCFGGROUP: InterRatPolicyCfgGroupId=3, UtranHoCfg=PS_HO-0&SRVCC-0&REDIRECTION-1;

Procedure Excepted Result

1. Powers on UE1 & UE2 so that it initiates the combined attach procedure to LTE CELL1.

The messages INITIAL UE MSG and the last UL UE MESSAGE (UL NAS TRANS) appear in the S1 tracing result, indicating that the

attach procedure is successful.

The UE camps on CELL1.

Note that the UL NAS TRANS message is encrypted. Therefore, to verify that the combined attach is successful, you need to observe the Initial Context Setup Request message in the UE logs or MME tracing result. If EPS attach result contained in this message is combined eps attach, the attach procedure is successful.

2. Wait 10s and verify that UE2 is in idle

mode. The message RRC Connection Release

indicates that UE1 has entered idle mode.

3. Make Data application to make UE1 in

Connected mode Open streaming website or do any data application to make UE in connected mode

4. Enable UE1 to make a CS call to UE2.

Wait for UE2 to ring. The eNB sends RRC Connection

Reconfiguration with B1 measurement control message to UE and receive B1 measurement from UE.

The redirected carrierInfo IE in the RRC_CONN_REL message on the Uu interface and the Routing Area Update Request message in the Initial UE message on the Iu interface indicate that the redirection successfully.

UE1 is successfully redirected to UMTS CELL2 to establish a CS call.

UE2 is successfully redirected to UMTS CELL2 to establish a CS call.

5. After UE2 rings, answer the CS call. The CS call is successfully established and the communication is normal.

6. After Call is finished , then make Sure UE1 & UE2 are disconnected from the UMTS Network and reselected to the LTE Network

7. Repeat Step 2 , 3 , 4 , 5 & 6 OutPut:

CSSR, Call setup time and DCR (only the call dropped within 10S after call

established in 3G will be consider as drop call due to CSFB and will be analyzed).

- Monitor the S1 & UU trace

Remark

Please resume the configuration of the eNodeB after this test.

T01-02 L2U IRAT

.1 LTE to UMTS PS handover based on coverage with measurement

Objective

This test case aims to verify that the eNodeB supports inter-RAT PS handovers due to coverage changes.

Tools :

1 UMTS&LTE smartphone UE … Example (Huawei LTE P1 U9202L-1) HUAWEI GENEX Probe for HUAWEI terminals

Test Condition :

Perform downlink data transmission from the FTP Server ,Select One Point at the LTE Cell edge at RSRP<= -110 , then Start to move from the lte coverage to the UMTS Coverage till Handover occur from LTE to UMTS

Test Count : 20 times Prerequisites

The UE is subscribed on the HSS as follows:

QCI = 9 (by default),, ARP = 11, UL and DL AMBRs = 150 Mbit/s

Procedure Expected Result

Power on the UE so that it initiates the attach

procedure. The UE attaches to CELL1.

Use FTP tool or Iperf to perform downlink

data transmission. Data is transmitted properly.

Enable the UE to leave the LTE cell and approach the UMTS cell until a handover is triggered.

The UE reports event A2 to the eNodeB. After receiving the report, the eNodeB delivers the inter-RAT measurement configuration to the UE. The UE performs inter-RAT

measurements. If the signal quality of the UMTS cell meets the threshold for reporting event B1, the UE reports event B1 to the

eNodeB. Then, the eNodeB sends a handover command to the UE.

The RRC_MOBIL_FROM_EURAN_CMD message in the LTE Uu interface tracing log and the Handover to UTRAN Complete in Uu interface and PS Handover Complete

messages in the RNC Iu interface tracing log indicate that the UE is handed over to the UMTS cell.

The data transmission in UMTS side is normal.

Disconnect the UE and save the logs. Operation succeeded.

Objective

This test case aims to verify that the eNodeB supports inter-RAT redirections due to coverage changes.
