To print a document:

1. Click theExporticon from the document tools. The documentExportdialog box appears.

2. Review/change the default settings for format and links, and then clickExport. Note: The export format for the document is defined in the .

The browserExport Statusdialog box appears. Here, you can choose to:

l Wait on the same page till theExport Completedialog box appears and click Download, OR

l Click theMinimize and Continue with Researchbutton and continue with your research.

When you receive a notification that the export is complete, hover the mouse pointer overExportson the top tool bar. On the list ofRecently Exported Documentsthat appears, clickDownloadbeside the name of the document.

3. ClickOpento view the exported document orSaveto save to your local PC. 4. ClickXto close the pop-up box.

To send a document by e-mail:

1. Click theE-mailicon from the document tools.

TheCheckpoint E-Mail Documentdialog box appears.

2. Enter one or more validToaddresses and, optionally,Bccaddresses. 3. Select theAttachment Formattype from the drop-down list.

4. Optionally, enter aMessage. 5. Include or exclude aDisclaimer.

The default setting is to include the default disclaimer. To exclude, clear theInclude this disclaimer check box.

Note: Disclaimer text is stored the . You can create a disclaimer in the screen, or enter a new disclaimer in theCheckpoint E-Mail Documentdialog box and, optionally, select theSave as defaultcheck box.

As. A check mark next to one of the options in the drop-down list indicates which option was last used. If you click theSaveicon directly, Checkpoint saves using the most recently used option.

1. Click the down arrow next to theSaveicon to choose either theSaveorSave Asoption. If you clickSave, the document is saved to the current folder on theFoldersscreen and you are finished.

If you clickSave As, theSave Documentwindow opens, where you can select another folder or create a new folder. Continue with Step 2.

2. On theSave Documentwindow, clickChange Folder.

3. When theChange Folderwindow opens, you can either select another folder from the list or click a link to create a new folder.

If you want to select another folder, click the folder name and clickOK.

If you want to create a new folder, clickCreate New Folder. When theCreate Folderwindow opens, enter the new folder name, select a location, and clickCreate. The new folder is added to theChange Folderwindow. Click the new folder name and clickOK.

4. Optionally, on theSave Documentwindow, you can enter aNotefor the document. If you enter a note, the note is added to the top of the document.

5. On theSave Documentwindow, clickSaveto add the document to the selected folder on theFolders screen.

To open a document in a new window:

Click theOpen in New Windowicon in the document tools.

When you open the document in a new window, it stays open until you close it. This allows you continue with other activities in Checkpoint and return to the open document at any time. For example, you may select it later from the "Checkpoint | Open Document" button on the task bar at the bottom of the screen. If you are using dual monitors, you can drag the document to the other monitor and pull up something else on the main Checkpoint screen and look at both (for example, a code section and a regulation).

To show/hide permalinks in a document:

1. Click thePermalinksicon in the document tools to show links. 2. Click thePermalinksicon again to hide links.

To enter/exit reading mode (full screen):

1. Click theFull Screenicon in the document tools for a full screen view of the document. 2. Click theFull Screenicon again to return to normal view.

To flag a document:

Checkpoint adds the flagged document to theFlagged Documentsscreen. 2. To access flagged documents, clickFlaggedin the top toolbar.

3. To unflag a document, in the open document, click theFlagicon in the document tools again.

To add a note to a document:

You can add one or more notes to a document, edit notes, and delete notes. 1. Click theNoteicon in the document tools.

2. On theNotepop-up window, enter the note text and clickSave. The note is added to the top of the document with a time/date stamp. 3. To add a new note, just click theNoteicon again and repeat step 2.

4. To edit a note, click theEditicon on the right side of the note. In theNotewindow, update the note and clickSave.

5. To delete a note, click theDeleteicon on the right side of the note. When the confirmation message appears, clickOK.

Note: To hide the text of a note from theNotespane at the top of a document, click theCollapse Notesicon in the right corner. Click theExpand Notes icon when you are ready to unhide the note text.

Note: You can also add notes to a document saved to a folder on theFoldersscreen.

To refresh a topic view:

TheRefreshicon appears only on Checkpoint Catalyst™ documents at the topic-level view (not subtopic). After exploring a topic by clicking "Show More" to expand the sub-topics, you can return the topic to its original form by clicking theRefreshicon. This closes the open sub-topics and returns them to their original
