Variables in the Application Settings Dialog Box

Description Setting

If set to True, you can log in to multiple vaults on the server. If set to False, the VaultName setting lets you connect to a single Vault View set in the

VisibleVaults setting.

When set to True, other vaults use the Query String variable, Vault, to log in.

AllowAccessToOtherVaults

If set to True, you can edit the value of data fields with check out permissions assigned. Use this setting with EditableDataCardVariables setting that controls variables to be edited.

SOLIDWORKS PDM Web2 does not automatically update all configuration values. Variable values that are set using transition actions update all

configurations as specified.

AllowDataCardEdit

Do not change.

ClientValidationEnabled

SOLIDWORKS PDM Web2 displays custom column set that is defined in your vault. You can display only one column set and it is same for all users.

Custom column sets that have columns defined as Name, Checked Out, Size, State, Modified, and Version are not supported because these names are reserved for default Web2 columns.

Installing SOLIDWORKS PDM

Description Setting

Controls the display of date fields in SOLIDWORKS PDM Web2. You can set the date using different delimiters. Various options for displaying date fields:

If set to True, sets days in State column as sortable.

The default columns in SOLIDWORKS PDM Web2 are sortable however, columns that appear by defining column set are not sortable.

DaysInState_Sortable

If set to True, displays days in the State column. This column is unique to SOLIDWORKS PDM Web2.

Description Setting

Sets the default language, en, that appears in the first login. You can change the language from Web2 user interface.

Web2 user interface displays the changed language until you clear internet cookies.

The language codes used for this setting:

When you select multiple files for downloading, Web2 combines into a compressed file. This setting sets the name of the compressed file.

DownloadZipFilename

If AllowDataCardEdit is set to True, this setting controls variables to be edited. The default value is * that lets you edit all non-read only variables. Separate multiple values with | . For example, to edit

Description and Number, enter

”Description|Number”.

Sets the default number of files and folders to display in the full SOLIDWORKS PDM Web2 version.

FileList_PageSize

Sets the default number of files and folders to display in the mobile SOLIDWORKS PDM Web2 version.

Installing SOLIDWORKS PDM

Description Setting

When you upload new files or create new versions, SOLIDWORKS PDM Web2 copies the files to the Uploads folder. The full path to this folder depends on the location of Web2 application files. For example, if the Web2 application files are located in C:\Program Files\SOLIDWORKS Corp\SOLIDWORKS PDM\Web2then the path to the Uploads folder would be C:\Program Files\SOLIDWORKS Corp\SOLIDWORKS PDM\Web2\

Content\Uploads.

Enables SOLIDWORKS PDM Web2 to search all file and folder names, variable values, configuration names, comments, and labels.

FreeSearch

Limits the search to the latest version of files. When set to True, the search finds values only in the latest versions.

OnlySearchLatestVersion

Sets the width, in pixels, for the pop up viewing window that appears when you click on the preview image or select the eDrawing or PDF icons (if enabled via the ”ShoweDrawingIcon and ShowPDFIcon"

settings).

PopupWindowHeight

Sets the height, in pixels, for the pop up viewing window that appears when you click on the preview image or select the eDrawing or PDF icons (if enabled via the ”ShoweDrawingIcon and ShowPDFIcon"

settings).

PopupWindowWidth

Sets number of days the system remembers user log in information for vault name, license type, and user name.

RememberMe_Days

Controls the display of Remember me check box on the log in screen.

RememberMe_Visible

If you set FreeSearch to False, SOLIDWORKS PDM Web2 searches on file names, folder names, and variable names entered. Separate each variable name with |. The search box in the user interface displays:

• Free Search if it set to True.

• File/Folder name, varaible1, varaible2, if Free Search is set to False.

ShoweDrawingIcon

Description Setting

Displays an eDrawing icon after the file name in the file detail page. When you click on the icon,

SOLIDWORKS files, eDrawings files, DWG/DXF format files, and other file types supported by eDrawing open in a separate browser.

Ensure that you use Internet Explorer and eDrawings is installed on client system.

Displays a PDF icon after the file name in the file detail page. When you click on the icon, different file types open in PDF format in a separate browser.

Ensure to install Adobe Reader on your system.

ShowPDFIcon

Do not change.

UnobtrusiveJavaScriptEnabled

Specifies the vault name that SOLIDWORKS PDM Web2 connects to and displays it in the log in screen.

If you want to access only single vault, clear values in the VisibleVaults setting.

VaultName

If you want to access multiple vaults, enter vault names separated by |.

VisibleVaults

Do not change.
