Volume properties definitions

You can use volume property data elements for your custom reports.

Volume Name The name of the volume

OnCommand Report Inventory data model | 87

Bytes Committed Range (%)

The bytes committed percentage range for the volume.

Clones The clone of the specified volume, if any.

Clone Parent The parent volume from which the clone is derived.

Deduplication State The state of the volume. Indicates if deduplication is enabled or disabled on the volume.

Fractional Overwrite (%)

The size of the overwrite reserve. If the fractional reserve is less than 100 percent, then the reserved space for all the space-reserved files in that volume is reduced to the fractional reserve percentage.

Unused Guaranteed Space (%)

The percentage of space that is released to the aggregate if the space guarantee is set to None.

Inodes Used (%) The percentage of inodes used in the volume.

Is Secondary Volume The type of volume. Indicates if this volume is a secondary volume where you make backup of your data.

Is SnapMirror Destination

The mirroring state of the volume. Indicates if the specified volume is the destination for replication.

Is SnapMirror Source The mirroring state of the volume. Indicates if the specified volume is the source for replication.

Last Deduplication Run

The last run timestamp of the deduplication operation on the volume.

Scheduled Snapshots The status of scheduled Snapshot copies. Indicates if scheduled Snapshot copies are enabled for this volume.

Security Style The security style applied to the volume data.

Snap Hourly Count The number of hourly Snapshot copies retained.

Snap Nightly Count The number of nightly Snapshot copies retained.

Snap Reserve Status The status of the Snapshot copy reserve in the volume.

Snap Weekly Count The number of weekly Snapshot copies retained.

SnapLock Default Period

The default retention period that is set for the volume.

SnapLock Max Period The maximum retention period that is set for the volume.

SnapLock Min Period The minimum retention period that is set for the volume.

Snapshot Count The number of Snapshot copies on the volume

Snapshot Directory Visible

The status of visible Snapshot copy directory. Indicates if the visible Snapshot copy directory that is normally present at client mount points is disabled, and if the other Snapshot copy directories in the volume are accessible.

Space Guarantee The space guarantee setting, which is one of the following:

Volume A space guarantee of volume reserves space in the aggregate for the volume. The reserved space cannot be allocated to any other volume in that aggregate.

File A space guarantee of file reserves space in the aggregate so that any file in the volume with space reservation enabled can be completely rewritten, even if its blocks are being retained on disk by a Snapshot copy.

None Reserves no extra space. Writes to LUNs or files contained by that volume and can fail if the containing aggregate does not have enough available space to accommodate the write.

Volume Count The total number of volumes in a storage system.

Volume State The current state of the volume. A volume can be in one of the following states:

Offline Read or write access is not allowed.

Restricted Some operations such as parity reconstruction are allowed, but data access is not allowed.

Online Read and write access to volumes hosted on this aggregate are allowed.

Volume Status The current status of the aggregate. The status can be Normal, Information, Warning, Error, Critical, or Emergency.

Volume Type The type of volume, which is traditional, flexible, or striped.

Volume Utilization The utilization percentage range for the volume.

Volume capacity definitions

You must use volume capacity data elements for your custom reports.

Aggregate Space after First Snapshot (KB)

The total space in the aggregate after the first Snapshot copy was taken.

Daily Growth Rate (GB) The change in the amount of used space in the volume reserve if that change persisted for 24 hours.

storage space.

Deduplication Space Savings (GB)

The amount of savings achieved in a volume through deduplication.

Free Volume Space (GB) The amount of space available for data in the volume.

Overwrite Days to Full The number of days remaining for the volume to be overwritten.

Overwrite Rate (GB) The rate at which the data in the active file system of the volume is replaced by the new data.

Overwrite Reserve Space Availability (GB)

The amount of free space remaining in the space reservation for an overwrite.

Projected Size (KB) The projected volume size.

Quota Committed (GB) The amount of space in the aggregate that is committed to the volume.

Reserved Files Total Size (GB)

The total size of the space-reserved files in this volume.

Reserved Space Available (GB)

The amount of free space remaining in the space reservation.

Reserved Space Total (GB) The total size of the space reserve for this volume.

Reserved Space Used (GB) The total space reservation used for overwrites in this volume.

Snap Reserve Available Space (GB)

The total Snapshot copy reserve space available on the volume.

Snap Reserve Daily Growth Rate (GB)

The change in Snapshot copy reserve space (number of bytes) used in the volume if the amount of change between the last two samples continues for 24 hours.

The default sample collection interval is four hours.

For example, if a volume is using 10 GB of Snapshot copy reserve space at 2 pm and 12 GB at 6 pm, the Daily Growth Rate for this Snapshot copy reserve space is 12 GB.

Snap Reserve Days to Full The amount of time until the Snapshot copy reserve reaches the full threshold based on the daily growth rate value.

Snap Reserve Total Space (GB)

The size of the Snapshot copy reserve for this volume.

Snap Reserve Used Space (GB)

The amount of the Snapshot copy reserve used.

Total Volume Capacity (GB) The total space available for data in the volume.

Unused Guaranteed Space (GB)

The amount of space that is released to the node if the space guarantee is set to None

Unused Guaranteed Space (Aggr%)

The percentage of the total aggregate size that is released to the aggregate if the space guarantee is set to None

Unused Guaranteed Space (vol%)

The percentage of the total volume size that is released to the aggregate if the space guarantee is set to None.

Used Volume Space (GB) The amount of space used in a volume.

Volume Space after First Snapshot (KB)

The total space in the volume after the first Snapshot copy was taken.
