a new language froma differentlinguistic system can be very difficult. Researchalso indicateslearning
the grammar, pronunciationandvocabularyfrom a new languagecanbemoredifficult foradultsthan kids. However, aSpanish writerby
nameCamilo JoseCela,
a Nobel Prizewinnerin 1989 said, the threemajorlanguages
likely
to bespoken in thefuturewould be English,ChineseandSpanish. Iaskedhow?Theansweris dueto the rapid growth ofthe Spanish and Chineseeconomyand population. Hence, thestudyofthese
languagesis important.
Chinese is my first language, but my undergraduate
major wasin Spanish Literature. I amcurrently studying computergraphicdesignat R.I.T.
Studying

Fun: Both ofthe referred stories havethesame

Story
The storycombines charactersfromtwotales,"The Three
Little Pigs"and"The Little Red
Riding

wolf"
to
develop
thestructure andto create a newversion, whichoverturnsthestereotypical imageofthewolf.
The waytoexpressthewolfis misunderstood as a villain
isto employa succession of misinterpretationsbetween
each character and thewolf.
In theend ofthestory, thewolfis
dead,
and thenewsispublished onthelocal newspaper.Therefore,theusercan
explorethestory
by
readingthemotion-graphics-newspaper. In this way, theorder of each plot
isn't as critical asfortheother story.
Thus,
no matterwhich plotthe user start
from,
theuser still cancomprehend thewhole story.

The users also stressed theirconcern onthespeed ofthe

Though it is a positiveconcern, Ialso seethis as a
drawbackthat I didn't put intoconsideration when I was
working onthe motion graphics. I believe it iscritical for
metolearnthatalthough adesignwork needsfinetuning
to attractthe users, I hadto stay focused to not missthe
main purpose and principal ofthework.
Because my undergraduate major wasn'tin
design,
I hadnoexperienceinworking onany projectwith thescale

From characters
design,
interfacedesign,
story narrationrecording tomotion graphics, all ofthem were
definitely
challengesforme.Through this processI struggled alot,
learned a lot and improved a loton skills.
It tooka
long
time tofinishthis project becauseI had tolearn and to think through each and everyone ofthe
characters actions forthemotion graphics before
doing
characters design.
For the interface
design,
itwas really a great challenge.Tolistento thevoicefromthe testers is indeed helpful for
me. Below is theoriginal interfacedesign. The response
from the usersis the design istoocomplicated fora
