IT Project Management
November 11 – November 13, 2007 Course Objectives
This course will cover all areas of the Project Management Institute’s framework, concentrating on the methodologies, tools, and techniques specific to IT project management. Students will obtain the skills to ensure they deliver the right product to the users on time and on budget using limited resources they have in a complex and often rapidly changing environment. Heavy use is made of exercises and examples within the industry segment to make the program material as relevant as possible to the students.

Students will obtain one certificate of Attendance from AUS and one from AMIDEAST of 21 hours of training in IT Project Management.

1. Understand the basic principles of project management methodology 2. Write a project charter and a scope statement

The Trainer
Frank P., MS, MSSM, MBA, PMP
Frank P., MS Physics, MS Systems Management, MBA, PMP is the President of a project management consulting, training, and auditing company in USA. He has provided project management services to major U.S. companies, the U.S. Government as well as the Government of Canada, and to the United Nations in locations such as Rome and Beirut.
He brings 30 years experience in project management and technology development to his teaching and consulting work. After ending a career in the aerospace industry as the assistant technical director on a multi-billion dollar satellite program he branched out on his own in 1993 and began consulting in technology program management. He has clients in multiple industries and government agencies around the world. He was a Chief Technology Officer for a highly successful Internet e-commerce company; he headed up systems engineering at TRW Information Systems during a major infrastructure upgrade; designed a credit reporting system for a Korea-based company; and created Program Management Offices for several Fortune 1000 companies.
In addition to managing a project management consultancy, Mr. Frank P. teaches at several universities in California such as University of Southern California, University of California at Irvine (UCI) and Claremont Graduate University. He has published numerous papers in project management and systems engineering and is an international speaker. He is actively involved in PMI, serving on a number of committees at the local level and for PMI’s Global Operations Center.
