The Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTh) is the largest higher education

institution of the Balkans. With more than eleven thousand students, AUTh’s School of Engineering is one of the university’s largest and most dynamic constituents. Over more than five decades, the School of Engineering evolved to an internationally appreciated academic entity with regard to both the high level of education offered and the level of innovative research conducted. Its departments maintain close collaborations with several other universities and research institutions all over the world. The undergraduate courses offered by the departments are complemented by numerous graduate studies of interdisciplinary nature.

This brochure contains basic information on AUTh’s School of Engineering and its Departments. References to the Internet are provided where substantially more details may be found. Do not hesitate to contact us for any queries and keep in mind that, in line with the traditional Greek hospitality, we are pleased to welcome guests in our campus.

The students of the School of Engineering have the opportunity to obtain real-world experience, before their graduation, by practical training programs/residencies in National and European Industries and Research Insti-tutes. Often, these industries are also partners in large research programs of the various Departments of the School.
