Exalted Ruler’s Message
Hello Fellow Elk Members,
Welcome aboard our new Student of Month Committee Chairwoman Ellen Benowitz. Ellen will also be chairing the Student Scholarship Committee. Ellen has a long list of credentials and awards as a teacher educator. Many thanks to past Committee Chairmen Tony DiLemme and Dave Wriggins for their many years of dedication to these two
Committees.
Congrats to our new Lodge Summer League Golf Champion Dan
Rust. Melissa Sprague is your new Hall Rental Coordinator. She can be reached at 609-209-7232. Follow our Lodge Bulletin calendar and website for Melissa's Wing and Burger Nights, Ken Jewell’s band nights.
Reminder to all Committee Chairpersons when having an event, check with Melissa for an open date, then present it to the House Committee for approval.
Congrats to Terri Jewell for being our October Elk of the Month. Our October $10,000 Dinner was a huge success with a sellout. Great food was provided by Toscano. Thanks to my Committee Staff Jeannie Johnson, Mike Kobylinski and John Tyrell.
We are still searching for a janitor for week day duties. The Can Do Committee is always looking for extra hands Wednesday morning if you can spare a few hours.
Our brother Elks Lodge to the North of us, South Plainfield, lost all their interior contents from the flood waters Hurricane Ida on September 1st. Exalted Ruler Bill Seesselberg is asking for any monetary donations to be mailed to: South Plainfield Elks Lodge # 2298. 1254 New Market Ave, South Plainfield, N.J. 07089.
Fraternally, Grason Jones
